Early rating for WWE Saturday Night's Main Event; number tanks, more
On Sunday, August 3, 2008 at 7:15 PM EST While a final number has yet to be released, The Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online is reporting that last night's 7/2 WWE Saturday Night's Main Event on NBC drew poorly finishing last in its timeslot and had in the range of 2.38 million viewers. This is less viewers than what last week's EliteXC show on CBS drew, which lost 50% of its viewers from the first show back in May. The final rating will more than likely come in as a 1.4 or 1.5.
To compare, the first two return shows in 2006 drew a 2.9 (March 18) and 2.6 (July 15). The two shows in 2007 drew a 2.2 (June 2) and 2.5 (August 18). So last night's show could go on to be the lowest rated Saturday Night's Main Event since the show was brought back two years ago.
