Another Championship Scramble added to Unforgiven PPV on Sept. 7th
» Reported by Adam Martin of WrestleView.com
» On Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 4:15 AM EST

In addition to a Championship Scramble being announced this past Monday night on Raw involving CM Punk defending the World Heavyweight Championship against John Cena, Batista, JBL and Kane, another was announced on Smackdown this past Friday night (Note: We first reported this on Tuesday night with a live report from the Smackdown taping in Moline at this link).

The Championship Scramble for Smackdown will see Triple H defending the WWE Championship against Jeff Hardy, MVP, WWE U.S. Champion Shelton Benjamin and The Brian Kendrick.

The rules are as follows for both scrambles: "Two randomly selected ring warriors will start the match, with a new challenger stepping in every five minutes. If a man scores a pinfall or submission on any other in the match, he is declared the "interim" champion – though he will not be historically recognized as such. The title can change hands as many times as necessary throughout the bout, and the Superstar to earn the final pinfall or submission within the 20-minute time limit will be officially declared the WWE Champion or World Heavyweight Champion."

Here is how the card looks for the PPV so far on Sunday, September 7, live and only on Pay Per View from Cleveland, OH:

World Heavyweight Championship - Scramble Match
- CM Punk (c) vs. John Cena vs. Batista vs. JBL vs. Kane.

WWE Championship - Scramble Match
- Triple H vs. Jeff Hardy vs. WWE U.S. Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. The Brian Kendrick.

As always, WrestleView.com will be providing *live* coverage of WWE Unforgiven on Sunday, September 7 starting at 8:00 p.m. Eastern (7:00 p.m. Central).
