Report - Cena attends WWE TV tapings just hours after surgery & more
On Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 1:19 AM EST WWE.com has an article up at this link noting that John Cena attended last night's WWE Smackdown and ECW tapings in Pittsburgh, PA just hours after undergoing successful surgery with Dr. Joseph Maroon earlier in the day.
In regards to the surgery Cena added quote: "I feel great. Dr. Maroon is fantastic. He explained every possible procedure he could and could not perform, and the potential risks of all of them. I explained to Dr. Maroon not only my immediate goals, but also my long-term goals. He took them all into consideration and recommended the most commonplace procedure with the least amount of side effects."
As noted earlier, Cena is expected to be out of action for around two to four months. WWE even issued the following press release yesterday about the injury:

STAMFORD, Conn., August 26, 2008 - WWE Superstar John Cena® underwent emergency surgery today for injuries received during last Sunday’s SummerSlam® Pay-Per-View match.The procedure went well, according to renowned Neurosurgeon Dr. Joseph Maroon who performed the surgery.
