- The WWE promo hits.

- A video package runs with a movie trailer theme featuring Batista, Chris Jericho and Rey Mysterio. The package also focuses on the last 20 years of SummerSlam being the biggest blockbuster of the summer. We then see highlights of what is scheduled tonight including The Undertaker's return against Edge inside a Hell in a Cell.

- A graphic opening hits welcoming us to SummerSlam. We go live to the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis where a huge display of pyro goes off in the entrance area. Jim Ross is the first to welcome us to the show. Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole also rundown the card tonight including Triple H vs. The Great Khali for the WWE Championship and CM Punk vs. JBL for the World Heavyweight Championship.
