The Miz came to the ring and cut a promo about Cyber Sunday. Miz said there were three ‘candidates’ but only one real choice. He ran down the candidates making fun of both Big Daddy V and John Morrison before calling himself the ‘real deal with sex appeal’. Miz said before he left, he had one last piece of business to attend to. Miz said he owned the Expose contract and because she went out with Balls, he should probably fire her. He said though, he was a nice guy so he was going to make Kelly’s life a mess week after week.

John Morrison’s music hit and he came to the ring and ran all over Miz. He gave a ‘quality solicit’ to Kelly Kelly and called her ‘poops’ and told her he could spend a night with him in the palace of wisdom. She slapped him and then Balls Mahoney’s music hit and he came out to the ring.

The two heels beat down Mahoney before turning on each other. Morrison dumped Miz to the outside easily before CM Punk showed up and ran Morrison off. Why’s Punk there?

Miz got in Morrison’s face in the back and the two started going at it. ECW GM Armando Estrada showed up and informed them that they would be partners in a tag team match later tonight against CM Punk and Balls Mahoney.

Big Daddy V v. Kane

Fun little stare down to start things off before Kane decked him with a clothesline. V no sold it and then laid Kane out with a clothesline of his own. V stood on him for a little while before gathering him up and body slamming him hard to the mat.

V laid some chops in before Kane started fighting back until he got nailed with a sidewalk slam before being dispatched to the floor. Visc tossed him into the ring steps and brought him back into the ring. We went to commercial with Kane fighting back.

We came back to Kane being stuck in a Big Daddy V STF. Yes, an STF. Then V squashed him with a belly flop before slapping the hold on yet again. Kane eventually brought the hands and began beating the big man back.

Kane tried to cap the comeback with the big lariat and connected, finally flooring the big man. Mark Henry walked in out of nowhere and he and Kane went at it. The Great Khali showed up to boot and we’ve got a monster’s ball! YES!

I couldn’t finish the write up of this ‘match’ because I have exploded due to the sheer levels of awesomeness in the ring. Kane dumps everyone and we get fire. Joy.

Winner: Kane via DQ

A video package putting over the Batista-Undertaker rivalry aired.

Balls Mahoney is in the back with ECW Champion CM Punk. Punk said he thought they’d have an advantage tonight because Miz and Morrison can’t get along. Balls agreed. They decided to stick together tonight and get the job done. Punk asked him, business aside, how Balls date with Kelly went. Balls just smiled and Punk said that ‘that’s just disturbing’. Balls said that’s what Kelly told him and walked off. Punk looked baffled.

Elijah Burke v. Nunzio

Burke jumped Nunzio from the get go and pummeled him on the ropes. Nunzio came back a house of fire with some stiff kicks for a two count.

Nunzio went for some punches in the corner but got his grill dropped out on the turnbuckles. Burke laid him out on the apron and nailed him with some forearms before tossing him in the ring and hanging him up on the ropes in pretty nasty fashion. Burke got a two count before slapping on a rear chin lock.

Burke slammed Nunzio in the corner before laying some boots to him in the corner. He backed up and posed for the crowd and teased the power drive elbow before sliding under the ropes and nailing some more forearms for another two count. Burke slapped on the rear chin lock and we’ve got another rest period.

Nunzio fought out of the hold and caught Burke with a boot to the grill in the corner and the Sicilian slice for a two count. Nunzio stayed on the attack before Burke caught him with and STO to set up a big Elijah Express for the three count.

Winner: Elijah Burke via pin fall

Khali is in the back with Singh and seems to be bemoaning Mark Henry.

Big Daddy V is talking about being all dominating at the Monster Bash on Smackdown on Friday.

John Morrison & The Miz v. CM Punk & Balls Mahoney

Miz and Punk started it off and locked horns. Punk grabbed a side headlock while Miz tried to struggle out of the hold. We ended up on the mat where Miz tossed him into the ropes only to eat a shoulder block. Miz popped up quick but almost got rolled up a few times before Miz back off, not looking to wild about his match up.

Miz finally got in some offense, hitting a knee and whipping Punk to the ropes before eating a kick to the gut. Punk hit a cross body, rolled off and grabbed a quick arm wringer to escort Miz to the corner and tag in Balls Mahoney.

Balls hit some shots then quickly tagged the champion back into the ring who promptly shoulder blocked Miz to the mat for a two count. Balls tagged in and went for an arm wringer of his own but got nailed in the jaw.

Morrison tagged in and hit a right hand before grabbing a side headlock. Balls connected with a shoulder block to floor Morrison before getting a two count. Morrison wiggled out and hit a drop kick before giving a thumbs up to an impressed Miz. That’s a mistake though, as Balls connected with the Balls punches and body slammed Morrison before heading to the top rope. Mahoney looked for the top rope leg drop, but Morrison avoided him, tagged in Miz and the chick magnet almost got a sneaky pin victory.

Miz hit a side Russian leg sweep for another near fall before backing up into the corner and tagging in Morrison. Morrison connected with some European uppercuts before slapping on the rear chin lock of doom. Balls tried to fight off Morrison, but the Shaman of Sexy flat backed him and hit a nice pommel horse leg drop for a two count.

Miz tagged in and whipped Mahoney to the ropes and hit a running clothesline for yet another cover attempt. Morrison tagged back in hit some more Euro uppercuts before Balls began trying to fight out of the corner. He gained a little ground, only to get whipped out with a step up enzeguiri.

Miz tagged in again and went to a chin lock and Mahoney’s fighting back again. Finally, he connected with a lariat and was able to crawl to the corner and tag in the champion. Punk floored the incoming Morrison before hitting his knee-bulldog combo out of the corner. He tagged Miz with a drop kick before going to the apron fro the springboard clothesline for a two count that Miz broke up. Punk hit another knee and looked for the bulldog, but Miz threw him into Morrison. Balls cleared out Miz while Punk put the finishing touches on things, hitting Go 2 Sleep on John Morrison.

Winners: CM Punk & Balls Mahoney via pin fall

Show Thoughts-- I’m not sure how wild I am about the whole talent sharing deal. Sure, ECW gets a gain by being on Smackdown and gaining some exposure, but they don’t gain much when three quarters of the Smackdown roster shows up on their show.

The show was really harmless tonight and a lot of fun as usual, but had a really odd, disjointed feel to it for whatever reason. Miz and Morrison looked more incompetent than anything tonight in the main event and didn’t do a good job of getting the whole ‘we’re competing’ thing over too well. Punk ran through his stuff and had another really lackluster night doing a lot of nothing.

The monster brawl was pretty cool stuff. I’m not much for big man matches, but get a bunch of them in there together and you almost always get something enjoyable. Regardless, the Kane-Visc match was pretty bad. Kane’s just not very entertaining these days.

The prospect of a Burke-Nunzio mini-program is entirely unappealing to me. Nunzio’s just not all that great and Burke’s way past him on the card at this point.

Overall, the show was fun in it’s own right but really uninspired heading into a pay per view. Not exactly can’t miss TV.

ECW World Champion: CM Punk 18-6, 37 pts. (Last Week: ECW World Champion) -- If someone’s going to drop their title on Sunday, I’ve gotta say it’s Punk. His reign has just been utterly devoid of energy and try as much as I have, I still can’t get into his stuff. Just can’t. That title needs a personality Punk just doesn’t have.

1. Big Daddy V 8-6, 18pts. (Last Week: 1)-- V worked an ok match with Kane, but seemed utterly disconnected from the title match voting this week and of all those guys, he’s the guy who should look most credible.

2. John Morrison 10-7, 26pts. (Last Week: 4)-- A clean win over the champion in your first night back is a pretty good way to boost yourself up the ladder. We have officially re-entered the palace of wisdom.

3. The Miz 9-4 17pts. (Last Week: 3)-- Miz’s character work gets better every week and tonight he REALLY had the high school pretty boy bully thing down pat. The bear kick was a great way to get a little more heat too. Miz’s work has been made a little better by Kelly NOT sucking and actually being pretty awesome in the acting department in this feud.

4. Elijah Burke 7-11, 13 pts (Last Week: 2)-- Decent enough with Nunzio, but really has been spending the better part of the last few weeks just floating around the top half of the brand.

5. Balls Mahoney 3-5, 7 pts (Last Week: NR)-- So I guess I’ll make my bold statement of the fall, at least in terms of ECW and that’s that they should really consider using Balls as a main event guy on ECW. He’s got something a lot of these kids lack and that’s natural acting ability. Sure, he’s no Jushin Liger or anything, but he’s good enough. He draws a ton of sympathy from the crowd and really has that goofy but loveable vibe that makes you want to root for him. I wouldn’t put him any higher than the mid card on any other brand, but I think he’s got a lot of potential to succeed if creative sticks with him.
