WWE logo, soundtrack, ECW theme, and here we go with some sweet opening pyro!

Finlay w/ Hornswoggle & Tommy Dreamer v. Jack Swagger & Mike Knox

We start this off with Finlay and Mike Knox. Knox is laid out with a knee and then catapulted into the corner turnbuckle. Finlay then plops down with a “buttplant” [someone please e-mail a move name for this]. Dreamer gets the tag in and Finlay and Tommy hit a double suplex on Mike Knox. Dreamer begins to work on Knox with a slew of punches. Swagger is able to hit a cheap shot on Dreamer from the apron. Knox comes barreling at Tommy and Dreamer ducks which results in Mike taking out Swagger! Dreamer jumps off the apron and takes out Jack on the outside. Tommy goes to get back into the ring but Knox lays him out with a huge boot!

We come back and Mike Knox is all over Tommy Dreamer. Tommy is getting laid out and Knox takes the chance to hit the cheap shot on Finlay. Swagger gets in the tag and starts to work on Dreamer. Jack locks in a chin lock which Dreamer tries to get out of but is met with a scoop slam. Swagger jumps up and bounces off the second rope to go for a splash but fails. Swagger still manages to hold onto Dreamers leg and tags in Mike Knox. Dreamer springs up and tags in Finlay who comes in to clear house! Finlay picks up Knox hits an inverted Samoan drop. He goes for the pin, but Swagger comes in for the save! Dreamer runs across the ring to lay out swagger which results in Hornswoggle hitting the tadpole splash.

ECWoggle, ECWoggle, ECWoggle! Finlay ran in and hits Knox with the Irish Foreign Object. Pin attempt and he gets the three count!

Winners via IFO: Finlay & Tommy Dreamer

After the match Tommy does the jig with Hornswoggle and Finlay. There goes his dignity.

In the back we see Teddy Long & Tiffany dressed up in Halloween costumes. Hold on let me check something real quick, nope definitely not Halloween. Next in comes in Jamie Noble who, hold on a second, nope this isn’t RAW. This segment has me really confused. Jamie is trying to hit on Tiffany. Here comes Mark Henry and Tony Atlas, neither of the two of them are wearing costumes, they just want to complain about not winning back the ECW Title. Noble felt insulted so we end up with a Henry v. Noble match for later.

We see a commercial air and it’s THE BOOGEYMAN!! The Boogeyman is coming back! This is the best return announcement since Brett Favre returned to play football and got me 38 pts in fantasy by throwing 6 TDs in one game!

Congrats to Smackdown for the huge rating on MyNetworkTV this past Friday.

Mark Henry w/ Tony Atlas v. Jamie Noble

This one is not going to be pretty. Noble tries to use some quickness to get behind the big man but it does little good. Henry flings him across the ring once, hits a head butt and then knees him firmly in the gut. Noble is backed into the corner and slapped hard across the chest. Noble tries to punch Henry a couple of times but is once again flung to the mat like a rag doll. He does manage to kick out of a cover, but gets choked up on the ropes for his effort. Noble gets whipped into the corner and Henry goes for a splash but Jamie moves out of the way! He probably shouldn’t have bothered because the clothesline that he got hit with pretty much demolished him. Noble is lifted up to be seated on the turnbuckle and somehow manages to kick Henry away. Noble leaps for a crossbody and is hit with the World’s Strongest Slam!

Winner via World’s Strongest Slam: Mark Henry

After the match, Henry wanted to keep beating up on Noble but Matt Hardy runs down to make the save! Tony Atlas comes into the ring and Hardy hits him with the Twist of Fate! Matt doesn’t have time to spin around fast enough and gets hit with a World’s Strongest Slam from Mark Henry. Mark hits two World’s Strongest Flops to further the destruction.

CM Punk, Evan Bourne, Ricky Ortiz & Kofi Kingston v. Cody Rhodes, Ted Dibiase, John Morrison & The Miz

Thanks for the responses for my offer to come up with a name to call Miz and Morrison. I sifted through plenty, and for now am going to go with: MizMo! So let’s get this match a rolling.

Bourne is in the ring first to start things off with Cody. Evan locks in an arm bar and quickly tags in CM Punk. Rhodes hits him in the face and tags in john Morrison. Morrison is met with a very high spinning kick and Ricky Ortiz gets the tag. He hits a shoulder tackle on John Morrison. Bourne comes in out of nowhere and hits a huge hurricarana! Miz tries to come in to make the save and the entire face team comes into the ring to clear everyone out as we go to commercial. According to Matt Striker, John Morrison got a rash from the glue he used when he bedazzled his abs on RAW last night. That was quite the site to behold if anyone missed it.

We come back and Cody has Bourne in a headlock. Ted gets the tag and locks an arm bar on Evan. Ted hits a back suplex followed by a fish drop which results in Bourne meeting Ted’s fist which wasn’t a tasty meal . Bourne gets destroyed with a huge clothesline and Miz gets in on the tag. He quickly tags in Morrison and they double team Bourne. Evan almost gets in a tag so John tags Miz back in. Miz locks in a front headlock which Bourne has no luck breaking free and Cody Rhodes comes flying over the ropes to hit a double fisted pummel to Bourne’s back. Miz gets back in and Bourne tries for a quick roll up cover! Miz kicks out and tags in the other half of MizMo but Bourne is able to tag in CM Punk. CM hits a fast scoop slam for a cover at which point all hell breaks loose!

Miz and Rhodes are on the outside and Ortiz leaps out of the ring to take them out with a splash. Kofi Kingston follows suit by jumping up on the top of the rope and then out to the floor for the splash. Back in the ring Punk has Morrison in the corner and hits a running knee to the skull. Punk has him up for the GTS but Manu causes a distraction. Ted hits a cheap shot which allows John Morrison to hit the Moonlight Drive for the win.

Winners via Moonlight Drive: Team Priceless & MizMo

ECW Thoughts

Well ECW didn’t run over for once, gotta say, I’m quite a fan of that fact. It was a fun show tonight. Even though there was a PPV on Sunday, ECW was almost completely unaffected by it which in many ways is probably why ECW is such a strong show.

Now about the Finlay match real quick. I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but I know that others feel this way as well so let me just say it again. I like Finlay a lot, but please stop having him win with a heelish tactic. Just because the man does a jig after the match doesn’t make everything better! Ok, actually it kinda does, but still, I’d love to see him win a match legitimately.

I was almost upset to be missing the Presidential Debate for ECW tonight, but I just flipped over and man, this one is just as boring as the others.

I have no idea why Jamie Noble was on ECW tonight, you’re guess is as good as mine. But hey, it gave Henry a guy to squash, so I guess that’s something.

The Big 8 Man Main Event was just as exciting as I hoped! It was nice to see CM Punk and Kofi Kingston return to their ECW roots. Evan Bourne is just insanely explosive. I know that as a Paul London supporter, I am jealous of Evan’s push, but this kid is just proving his worth week after week.
