Full WWE Sunday Night Heat Results - 6/20/04

- The pyro goes off and we are ready for Sunday Night Heat.

Val Venis vs. Steven Richards
The match starts with both locking up and Richards getting a quick headlock. Richards hits a shoulder takedown, but gets a quick hip toss from Val in response. Richards hits some chops on the back of Val, but Val fights back with a big hook suplex. Richards hits a clothesline and chokes Val on the ground. Both men go down when Val hits a big belly to belly. They both get back to their feet and Val hits a big back body drop on Richards. Val charges at Richards in the corner, Richards attempts a boot, but Val stops it, attempts the reverse figure four and Richards counters out of it. Richards, in a tribute to Crash HOlly, goes for the Crash Landing but can't connect. Val goes to the top and Richards knocks him off. Val fights back with a spinebuster, goes to the top, jumps and connects with the Money Shot. Val hooks the leg and gets the 1, 2, 3.

Winner: Val Venis

- LATER TONIGHT: Shelton Benjamin vs. Garrison Cade.

- UP NEXT: Highlights from the Hell in a Cell Match at Bad Blood between Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

- A video runs hyping the Main Event on RAW between Triple H & Eugene this Monday night.

--COMMERCIAL BREAK--

- We return from commercial and a highlight package from the Hell in a Cell Match between Triple H and Shawn Michaels at Bad Blood was shown.

- FLASHBACK TO RAW: Jim Ross calls both Triple H and Shawn Michaels down to the ring. HBK extends his hand to Triple H, but Eric Bischoff comes down before anything can take place. Bischoff was about to speak when Kane's pyro went off. Kane comes down to the ring, stares at both and takes out HBK with a big boot. Kane stares at Triple H, letting him leave the ring. Kane then puts a steel chair into the ring, closing it over HBK's throat. Kane goes up on the top rope, jumps and connects on the chair making HBK spew blood from his mouth. EMT's hit the ring and help HBK as Kane looks on laughing at what he did.

--COMMERCIAL BREAK--

- WWE SLAM OF THE WEEK: Triple H attempts to get on the good side of Eugene last week on RAW.

Maven vs. Joey Matthews
The match starts with both locking up, Matthews applying a headlock and Maven countering into a headlock of his own. Maven slaps him away to the corner, Matthews charges and Maven takes him down with a drop toe hold. Matthews fights back with a few punches and kicks. Maven responds with a big punch followed by a big powerslam. Maven connects with a dropkick, goes to the top, but Matthews bails to the outside. Matthews comes back in and hits a reverse neckbreaker, but only gets a two count. Maven goes to the top again, jumps and connects with a cross-body to only get a two count. Matthews hits a northern lights suplex after countering a front facebuster from Maven. Maven quickly responds with another front face buster to put Matthews away for the 1, 2, 3.

Winner: Maven

- A video airs showing what a WWE Diva does. They plug the RAW Diva Search is on the way.

- LATER TONIGHT: Shelton Benjamin vs. Garrison Cade.

- UP NEXT: Highlights of the Main Event from RAW last week when Evolution (Ric Flair, Randy Orton & Batista) took on Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho & Edge in a Six Man Tag Team Elimination Match.

--COMMERCIAL BREAK--

- FLASHBACK TO RAW: We join the Six Man Tag Team Elimination Match in progress. Left in the match is Chris Benoit, Edge, Ric Flair and Randy Orton. Edge gets eliminated following a low blow and an RKO from Randy Orton. Ric Flair gets eliminated following a Crossface from Chris Benoit. We are down to Chris Benoit and Randy Orton. Triple H comes into the ring attempting interference, but gets a big german suplex from Benoit as a result. Benoit locks the Sharpshooter on Orton, Randy reaches for the ropes, but taps out. The team of Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho & Edge are your winners.

- Al Snow & The Coach plug the Triple H vs. Eugene match this Monday night on RAW.

- UP NEXT: Shelton Benjamin vs. Garrison Cade.

--COMMERCIAL BREAK--

- WWE COLOR OF THE NIGHT: Trish Stratus becoming a five-time WWE Women's Champion at Bad Blood.

Garrison Cade vs. Shelton Benjamin
The match starts with both locking up and Benjamin takes down Cade quickly. Cade complains to the referee, turns, charges at Benjamin and gets a back body drop for his trouble. Cade hits a knee to the gut, throws down Benjamin two times, but Benjamin jumps back up each time. Cade hits an atomic drop on Benjamin and falls to the outside as a result.

--COMMERCIAL BREAK--

We are back from commercial and Cade takes out Benjamin with a big punch to the face. Cade applies a neck submission on Benjamin as the referee checks on. Benjamin counters out with a quick suplex, but Cade drops Benjamin's jaw on the top of his head. Cade hits a knee to the head off the ropes and hits some hard rights on Benjamin on the ground. The crowd chants "LETS GO SHELTON" as Cade takes him down one more time with a big punch. Benjamin fights back with some hard rights of his own, but Cade counters into a twilt-a-whirl slam. Benjamin fights back with some punches to the gut/leg (you can see where his hand injury takes place during this part in the match). Benjamin takes down Cade with a big russian leg sweep as the referee begins the count. The referee gets to seven and both get on their feet. Both exchange kicks and punches and Benjamin takes down Cade with numerous clotheslines. Benjamin monkey flips Cade from the corner and hits a splash in the corner on Cade. Benjamin hits a big powerslam and gets the 1, 2, 3.

Winner: Shelton Benjamin
