Full NWA TNA PPV Results - 3/17/04

- The show opened with Raven demanding an NWA World Heavyweight Title shot and how Chris Harris wasn't ready.

- A video package aired highlighting Team AAA's win over Team Canada last week in the America's X Cup Tournament.

- A video package highlighting Chris Harris' quest for the NWA World Heavyweight Title was shown. Vince Russo said that the best man would walk out of TNA the champion tonight. Jarrett said Harris wasn't ready. Harris, in a promo with Scott Hudson, said he was ready since he laced up his first pair of boots in 1994 and said he would walk away the champion tonight.

- "The Future" Frankie Kazarian defeated "Primetime" Elix Skipper. The match ended when Kazarian rolled up Skipper and held on the tights for the 1, 2, 3. After the match, Kazarian continued to attack Skipper when Jerry Lynn hit the ring and threw Kazarian out. As Kazarian left and stared down both men, Mike Tenay put over how Skipper and Lynn were sticking together as Team NWA.

- Backstage, Scott Hudson was with Glen Gilberti, Kid Kash, Michael Shane, Johnny Swinger and David Yougn. Gilberti said he knew Vince Russo and knew it was another screwjob in the making tonight in the 10-Man Gauntlet if they all didn't stick together. Kid Kash asked Gilberti who made him boss and said that if anyone came face to face with him, he would only be out for himself.

Mike Tenay Interviews Vince Russo...what about Raven?
- In the ring, Mike Tenay introduced Vince Russo. Tenay brought up the NWA World Heavyweight Title match between Jeff Jarrett and Chris Harris tonight. Russo said he made the match at the right time after Harris earned it. Russo said he wanted an even playing field in TNA and said he knews the fans are behind Harris tonight. Russo said in fact, he hopes and prays Chris Harris comes away the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion tonight. Raven's music hit and he came out along with Sabu. Raven got on the mic and said although Russo gave a great speech and is a great motivator...what about Raven? Raven asked Russo why he isn't booked on the show tonight and asks why he hasn't been given his NWA World Title shot yet. Russo said he hasn't ben able to get ahold of him all week and isn't responsible for what he does from Thursday to Tuesday. Russo said if Raven wants a title shot, he will get one by teaming up with Sabu next week in the NWA World Tag Team Title Tournament. Raven said he respects Sabu, but he doesn't need him and wants to be a singles wrestler. Russo then offered to put Raven in the 10-Man Gauntlet tonight. Raven said doesn't need to qualify for anything as he knows he deserves a title shot. Russo then offered to change the AJ Styles/Abyss Ladder Match to a Triple Threat to crown a new #1 contender. Raven declined yet again. Russo said he was out of options for tonight. Raven told Russo to take Chris Harris out of the Main Event tonight and put him in. Raven said everyone knows Harris isn't ready and that he should take his place. Russo said he has made his decision and Harris will get the title shot tonight, not Raven. Raven said he understands what is going on and brings up how he has had to deal with politics in WWE, WCW and now in TNA. Russo said that is not what it is about and said he would get an opportunity down the line, but just not tonight. Raven promised Russo that he would have his full attention by the end of the night.

- Video highlights from last week when the "Alpha Male" Monte Brown returned to TNA interfering in the Dark Carnival Match were shown. Backstage, Scott Hudson interviewd the Alpha Male and he said he can do what he wants and won't tolerate "clowns" in a wrestling ring. Brown said he tried to be nice, but now he will be himself. He said he would be the same person who broke necks in the NFL and said he doesn't care who he faces in a TNA ring.

- "Alpha Male" Monte Brown defeated Chris Vaughn. The match ended when Brown hit the Alphabomb in a pure squash match to get the 1, 2, 3. After the match, Brown gave Vaughn another Alphabomb. Ron Harris hit the ring and Brown rolled out smiling and warning Ron that he could be next.

- Backstage, Scott Hudson was with AJ Styles. Styles promised that he would take out Abyss tonight and would become the next #1 contender for the NWA World Title. Hudson asked Styles if he thinks Chris Harris is ready tonight and if Raven's points are justified. Styles said Harris was ready and that Raven makes a good point.

- James Storm defeated "The Franchise" Shane Douglas. The match ended when Tracy Brooks got up on the ring apron and distracted the referee as Douglas hit a rolling head snap. Douglas went for the pin, but Brooks kept distracting the referee. Douglas got up and yelled at Brooks when he turned around and got a big superkick from Storm. Storm hooked the leg and got the 1, 2, 3 for the win. After the match, Douglas got in Brooks face. Shane Douglas hit the ring and broke it up, getting in Douglas' face. Douglas calmed down eventually and they all left the ring.

- Backstage, Scott Hudson was with Jeff Jarrett and Abyss. Jarrett said he wasn't concerned about Chris Harris tonight, saying he wasn't ready at all. Goldylocks then walked by talking on her cell phone with Erik Watts when Jarrett grabbed it from her and started taunting Watts. Goldylocks told him to never mess with her or her cell phone ever again. Jarrett said she couldn't do anything and walked away. As Abyss went to leave, Goldylocks stopped him and they both stared at each other.

- Ron "The Truth" Killings won the 10-Man Gauntlet Match to become the #2 contender for the NWA World Heavyweight Title. The order of elimination was as follows:

* Kid Kash eliminated D'Lo Brown.

Raven hit the ring and gave Sonny Siaki the Evenflow DDT. Raven yelled into the camera and asked Russo if he got his attention now.

* Glen Gilberti eliminated Sonny Siaki.
* Konnan eliminated Kid Kash.
* Glen Gilberti eliminated Konnan.
* Simon Diamond eliminated Glen Gilberti.
* Johnny Swinger eliminated Simon Diamond.
* Ron "The Truth" Killings eliminated Johnny Swinger.
* Ron "The Truth" Killings pinned Michael Shane to win the match.

During the last part between Killings and Shane, Douglas came down to ringside and threw a chain in the ring for Shane. Shane threw the chain back at Douglas and said he didn't want to win that way. When Shane turned around, Killings hit a front slam to get the 1, 2, 3. After the match, Douglas got in Shane's face and argued with him.

- Backstage, Vince Russo told Raven to leave the building.

- Abyss defeated AJ Styles in a Ladder Match to become the #1 contender for the NWA World Heavyweight Title. The match ended when Styles was up on the ladder and was reaching for the contract when Raven appeared on the top rope. Raven distracted Styles, allowing Abyss to push the ladder over and Styles spilled over the top rope to the outside. Abyss climbed up the ladder and got the contract to win the match. Raven screamed into the camera at Russo yet again. Russo appeared on the top of the stage, stared at Raven and shook his head.

- Jeff Jarrett defeated "Wildcat" Chris Harris to retain NWA World Heavyweight Title. The match ended when Jarrett got the NWA World Title and knocked out Harris with it, but Harris kicked out after two. Harris hit the Catatonic, but Jarrett also kicked out after two. Jarrett hit The Stroke, but only got a two count and looked shocked. James Storm hit the ring and gave Jarrett a big superkick behind the referee's back. Harris went for the cover, but Raven pulled out the referee and screamed at Russo again. As the referee kicked out Raven, Jarrett got the guitar and smashed it over Harris' head. Jarrett called for the ref and hooked the leg to get the 1, 2, 3 to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Title.

After the match, Vince Russo grabbed the mic and said that if Raven wanted his attention, he got it! Russo said next week, he won't like the consequences for his actions. Russo then congratulated Jeff Jarrett, but said the true winner in his eyes was Chris Harris. Russo said the next time Jarrett defends the NWA World Title, there won't be any interference because it will take place in a Steel Cage. Jarrett looked shocked as AJ Styles hit the ring and attacked Raven as the show came to a close.
