Raven vs. Sabu
This week’s pay per view started with a match no one ever expected to see. For the past couple of week’s, Raven has done nothing but play mind games with the Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal, Sabu, in an attempt to get him to fight. However, both Sabu and Raven made a promise to their trainer, the late Sheik, that they would never fight each other. This promise was kept for over a decade by the two combatants, but Raven decided that a match with his partner Sabu was long overdue.

Sabu finally agreed to meet Raven in the match for one night only, so the lucky fans who were in attendance at the Asylum and the ones watching at home got to see Raven vs. Sabu for the first time in history. What could have been the main event of the evening didn’t let any of us down as the two hardcore icons battled inside the six sided ring and all over the arena. Tables, chairs, and even metal spikes were used and yes, blood was shed. Sabu did everything he could to get revenge on Raven for his late uncle, The Sheik. During the match, the cameras showed a mysterious person looking on from the balcony cloaked in black.

After the tables were broken in half, the chairs dented, and blood all over the ring apron, Raven was able to put away his former partner with his patented finisher, The Raven Effect. This match truly lived up to the hype and it’s just a shame that we might not see these two wrestlers with storied careers lock up in the future. Both competitors were said to have been rushed to the hospital immediately following the match in what can be only described as a violent war amongst one time friends.

Cameras then shifted to Scott Hudson who was standing by outside the Asylum where a black limousine pulled up that D-Ray 3000 was driving. He told Hudson that he didn’t have time to talk. Just then, Sharkboy brought a tray of shrimp to the limousine window. Baby Bear Alex Shelley then got out of the limo and told Sharkboy that Goldylocks does not like tails on her shrimp. Just then Goldylocks got out of the limousine and told Scott Hudson that Siaki should be paying her to get his contract and then she told Shelley to get the baggage out of the trunk. Once the trunk was open, it was revealed that the baggage Goldy was referring to was Abyss, who was crunched in the back.

Abyss vs. Sonny Siaki (Contract vs. Money Match)
It was time now for Abyss to again do Goldylock’s dirty work and compete against Sonny Siaki in a contract vs. money match. If Abyss wins, Goldylocks owns Siaki’s contract, but if Siaki wins, The Ace in the Hole would be a lot richer by getting her money. Head of Security, Heavy D was standing by guarding the money and the contract from ringside.

The 6’8” 350lbs monster, Abyss went straight to work on Siaki, because that what he knows best, how to beat people down. However, Sonny Siaki fought back and seemed to have a good chance at pulling off the upset. Goldylocks had seen enough and came down to ringside. Heavy D and the referee cut her off at the bottom of the ramp. While the referee and Heavy D were distracted, Abyss grabbed the suitcase full of money and brought it back in the ring with the intent to hit Siaki with it. Instead, the Ace in the Hole grabbed the suitcase away from him and hit Abyss over the head with the briefcase. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough for Siaki to get the 3 count.

At this time, Desire ran down and grabbed Goldylocks, shoving her to the ground. Seeing this, Alex Shelley came down to help his manager. This got Siaki’s attention who tried to come over and help, but was cut off by Abyss. Abyss then got his sit down torture rack finisher for the win. Sonny Siaki then became the property of Goldylock’s with her and Alex Shelley celebrating at the top of the ramp, while Abyss was left in the ring alone.

Back in the locker room area, Hudson was standing by with the Co-X Division Champions, Michael Shane and Kazarian w/Traci. Shane told Hudson that they have vowed never to wrestle each other again. Kazarian added by saying that they owned the X Division.

Co-X Division Champions Michael Shane and Kazarian vs. Jerry Lynn and Chris Sabin
Just one week after they both win the X Division title in an Ultimate X match against AJ Styles, Michael Shane and Kazarian were back in the ring to take on former X Division Champions Jerry Lynn and Chris Sabin. Early on in the match, the co-champions went to work on Chris Sabin, preventing him from getting a tag to his partner Lynn. It seemed as if the co-champions were working very well together.

Sabin finally made his way to the corner to tag in his partner Jerry Lynn. Lynn was fresh and all fired up and basically cleaned house. Traci got involved at this time which she paid for when Jerry Lynn caught her and drove her down to the mat. Her interference though, was just enough to distract the former champs and Michael Shane got his Superkick on Lynn for the victory.

Scott Hudson was standing by with The Alpha Male Monty Brown who told Hudson that he was very interested in what Vince Russo had to say later in the night.

Moments after this, cameras turned back to the middle of the ring where the Director of Authority, Vince Russo was standing by with a microphone. He told the fans that he will continue to do the right thing her in TNA. He then went on to say that he couldn’t do the job on his own, so he formed a championship committee to make decisions on who would get future title shots and when. The first member he mentioned was former NWA Heavyweight Champion and legend, Harley Race. Joining him on the committee would be the Living Legend, Larry Zbysko and Texas’ own, Terry Funk.

A camera in the back showed a very shocked and upset Dusty Rhodes standing by with AMW listening to what Russo had just said. Russo went on to say that NWA Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett and Jeff Hardy will fight, but the committee will choose the date and time. Dusty had heard enough, and made his way to the ring. He got a mic and told Vince that it was his idea that had sent him to North Carolina to see Jeff Hardy. Russo replied, by telling Dusty that the reason he wasn’t chosen for the committee is the fact that he is too close to the game to make proper decisions. Dusty retaliated by asking how Russo could name Funk on the committee and asking what is left for Dusty.

The King of the Mountain, Jeff Jarrett then made his way down to the ring. He told Russo that he has to give credit where credit is due because he liked the way Vince was handling Dusty. Russo didn’t seem pleased to see the champ. Dusty then challenged Jarrett to a fight which he accepted. The two locked up with Russo looking on. Just as Jeff Jarrett was going for his guitar, Jeff Hardy came in and clocked the champ. He then held Jarrett from behind to give Dusty a chance to exact revenge on him with his own guitar. Before Dusty could swing the musical instrument, The Alpha Male, Monty Brown showed up and gave the American Dream the “Pounce!” Ron “The Truth” Killings then came down and took out Monty Brown and cleared the rest of the ring.

Back to Scott Hudson, who was standing by with Scott D’Amore and Team Canada. Hudson told D’Amore that next week there would be an open invitational gauntlet for a shot at the X Division Title and that Team Canada would be taking on 3 Live Kru for a shot at the NWA Tag Team Titles. D’Amore responded by saying that he and Russo don’t always see eye to eye and little are they on the same side, but he agrees with 2 things. First, he agreed with not letting Dusty on the championship committee and two, giving Team Canada a chance at the NWA Tag Team Titles. He also went on to mention that the Captain of Team Canada, Petey Williams, will be involved in the gauntlet.

“Irish” Pat Kenney vs. Big Vito w/ Trinity (Luck of the Irish Weapons Match)
It’s obvious that there is no love loss between Pat Kenney and Big Vito as both of these athletes want to annihilate each other week after week on TNA PPV. This week, they would get another chance to get revenge on each other when they competed in a Luck of the Irish Weapons Match. 3 Trunks were placed in the ring and all of them were locked. Only 1 of them had the weapons in them. The key was at the end of a rugby ball. The winner has to get the weapons before he can score a pinfall or submission.

Trinity got involved early and unlocked the first trunk to find nothing was in it. Then, midway through the match, both Vito and Trinity open another empty trunk which Vito started to use as a weapon to keep Irish Pat Kenney down on the mat. Before the 3rd trunk was to be opened, Trinity and Vito got in a shouting match and started shoving one another. Kenney looked to take advantage of this, but Glenn Gilberti ran in and stole the key. Gilberti took the key and was running towards the arena exit, but was cut off by his former partner, David Young. Young began to pound on the man dressed as a Leprechaun all the way back to the ring.

Young then gave Gilberti a viscous chair shot to the skull. David then gave the stolen key back to Pat Kenney who used it to get into the 3rd trunk and grab some weapons. One of the weapons was a chain that was painted green, which he used to knock Vito to the canvas floor for the eventual pinfall and victory.

Scott Hudson was then shown standing by with Americas Most Wanted who looked like they were ready to get a little revenge of their own. Cowboy James Storm told Hudson that if you don’t want to see Canadians get the hell beat out of them, turn the channel and stop watching. Wildcat Chris Harris added by saying that if Triple X is on a mission to prove they are a better tag team then AMW, their mission ends right here with us!

Americas Most Wanted vs. Team Canada (Country Whipping Match)
After sticking their nose in AMW’s business the last couple of weeks, Team Canada was the target of revenge for Chris Harris and James Storm tonight. To help them with this revenge……Leather Straps! This match got brutal and loud right away with both teams getting some tough licks on their opponents. You could see the welts pop up on all the wrestler’s backs.

Towards the end of the match, Chris Harris got a devastating spear on Petey Williams and the former tag team champions looked to finish off Team Canada with the Death Sentence, but Scott D’Amore got involved and pushed Harris off the ropes to the floor. However, despite D’Amore's frequent attempts, Harris eventually got a pin on Petey Williams and secured the victory for AMW. After the match, AMW grabbed the big mouth from North of the border and began whipping him with the straps. Johhny Devine and Erik Young ran down to save their leader and the rest of Team Canada got back in to hold down Harris and Storm while D’Amore gave them some licks with the straps. In the end, Triple X ran down to clear the ring of Team Canada. There was a stare down at the conclusion of the match between the 2 teams.

Scott Hudson was standing by with the current NWA Tag Team Champions, The Naturals. Andy Douglas told Hudson to look who they beat 2 weeks ago and last week. Chase Stevens added by saying they don’t care who their next opponents will be, we are number 1!

Scott Hudson was back with Kid Kash and Dallas. Kash told him that AJ Styles was the reason that TNA suspended him and that tonight you will see why he is the moneymaker in this business. Dallas added his two cents by saying “Dead Meat!”

AJ Styles vs. Kid Kash
In what turned out to be an outstanding main event match up between 2 former X Division Champions, AJ Styles was dead set on getting revenge on the Notorious K I D. Just last week, Kash cost Styles his coveted X Division Title. Although, Kash might not be a fan favorite, it seemed as if he did his homework on AJ. Styles was unable to capitalize on his favorite moves and Kash continually blocked or countered them. Dallas was also a factor in this match as he watched from ringside and every now and then got involved.

AJ flipped out of the ring at one point in the match right on Dallas, sending him crashing onto the concrete floor. The match went back and forth, with neither competitor able to capitalize. Fortunately for Styles, Kid Kash made a mistake which cost him the victory while AJ got a quick rollup for the victory. A very angry Dallas wasted no time before getting in the ring and giving some hard shots to AJ’s head with his big boot. Seeing that Styles was outnumbered, Chris Sabin and Jerry Lynn ran down for the save. Then out came the whole X Division followed by just about everyone on the TNA roster!
