THE CHAMP SUFFERS A FAMILY TRAGEDY, AND TAKES OUT HIS EMOTION ON EVERYONE
Smackdown opens with footage from an El Paso, Texas WWE live event when Eddie was celebrating following a matchup by inviting his children, his wife, and his mother in to the ring. Soon after Eddie's mother arrived, Bradshaw came down, causing Eddie to try and get his family out of the ring and out of harm's way. He was able to get everyone but his mother out of the ring before getting clotheslined to hell by JBL. JBL and Eddie's mother begin to get in to a heated debate, and when Bradshaw puts his hand on her, she clutches her chest and falls to the mat.
Medics take Mrs. Guerrero to the back of the arena, working on her the entire way up the entrance way as we shoot back to the announce table at Tucson, where Cole & Tazz condemn what Bradshaw did by putting his hands on Eddie's mother. Cole claims she suffered a heart attack, and that Eddie arrives at the arena.
Comeptition on Smackdown opened with a non title matchup between Doug Basham and the United States Heavyweight champion, John Cena. Highlights are shown of last week's encounter between The Undertaker and Booker T., soon afterwards GM Mr. Angle made the match, Booker T. vs. the Undertaker. Booker tries for an edge by visiting a fortune teller. She hands him some 'fabled items' to combat the effects of the Dead Man, and tells him to go search out the 'grave with non name.'
Chavo Guerrero issued an open challenge for his cruiserweight title, "Chavo vs. the World". It was answered, by a returning superstar, Jacqueline. Chavo, accompanied by Chavo Classic, went nuts laughing this reception off until Jackie slaps him in the face. The match is on, Chavo dominates, until he flaunts to the crowd. Jackie takes advantage, hits Chavo in the package and gets the 1, 2, 3, pinfall to become the NEW cruiserweight champion.
The FBI came out for a tag team contest, and instead, were approached by the GM, Mr. Angle. Angle stated he was hoping the lack of respect he received in Oklahoma City was a mistake, but it was not to be. He then said that the Undertaker was going to fight tonight, and he had his assistant, Luther Rains, ask every Smackdown superstar who anted to face the Dead Man. Nobody agreed to do so, so Angle chose his own opponents, and 'Taker met the FBI in a handicap match. A total squash, dragon sleeper submission, tombstone and last ride later, Nunzio and Stamboli were looking up at the DeadMan, victorious.
Josh Mathews interviews Eddie Guerrero, and asks if he blames himself for what happened to his mother, or does he blame John Bradshaw Layfield. Eddie's temper begins to flare, and Mathews takes the hint and splits.
Renee DuPree was involved in the women's match on Smackdown tonight between Torrie Wilson and Dawn Marie After the bout began to get out of hand for the blonde bombshell, Cena came to the ring for defending Torrie, DuPree proceeded to annihilate Cena, crashing his body through the announce table.
JBL, in New York, surprisingly, stated that the Guerrero matriarch was to blame for what had occurred in El Paso, that it was part of Eddie's mantra to lie, cheat, and steal his way to the top. Eddie lost it, and during the main event, he showed how much more personal and how far he plans on taking this feud with Bradshaw, as he hit and bloodied everyone in that ring following the main event, whether the victim was a face or a heel, he faced the brunt end of an Eddie vicious chair shot to the sku11.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I do not have a commentary section up this week. My tape player decided not to record Smackdown so I could take the appropriate notes when I was more awake.. Yanno, vampire life. A portion of this above recap was taken, not rewritten, but taken from WWE.com.
I will be away from Wrestleview next week to attend to my son being in the hospital. I will return the week of May 20th. My apologies for the sloppiness of this report.
