Happy Halloween, everybody!

“Yes, sir, we promised you a great main event…” The WWE video leads us into the show.

We get a video that shows the Smackdown sign in cobwebs surrounded by Jack-O-Lanterns. This is a Halloween edition of Smackdown. The video highlights the history of the Casket Match and advertises that the main event will be a Casket Match!

We now see Big Show with an intense look on his face and massaging his throat, no doubt from the Gogoplata he received at Cyber Sunday that knocked him out. Big Show coughs and asks in a whisper if the Undertaker calls himself a man. Show says he had Taker beat for the second time and what does he do? He uses an illegal submission and crushes his larynx. Show states that if their paths cross again he won’t knock Undertaker out – he’ll bury him.

The camera now zooms out and it’s Vickie and Chavo Guerrero in front of the casket. Vickie says “Happy Halloween” to us and she looks forward to celebrating her favorite holiday. I guess it’s the one day of the year she looks normal! Tonight Vickie says she has many tricks and treats planned. The Undertaker will be competing in what she knows will be his final Casket Match. Vickie says she wants us quiet because she has a scary story to tell. The Undertaker will know what it’s like to be confined in a casket (he’s been in one more than once) broken and battered. The Undertaker will pound the lid of the prison as his lungs gasp for air and his brains (yes, plural – he apparently has multiple brains) will explode in mind numbing terror as he draws for his last foul breath.

Cheese. Vickie laughs and says that sounds like so much fun. Vickie says the man who has the treat to subjecting the Undertaker to all that suffering… is Chavo Guerrero! Chavo looks shocked and confused. Vickie says “Happy Halloween” and then bust out into the cheesiest laugh I think I’ve heard her do yet.

The awesome Smackdown video now plays with the awesome music and we’re brought into the arena with a great pyrotechnics display. The crowd in San Diego is on it’s feet as Jim Ross and Tazz welcome us to Friday Night Smackdown! JR is dressed like a sailor and Tazz is in army fatigues! Nicely done, gentlemen. They are standing at attention and Tazz does the “Ten hut” thing. JR introduces them as “Sailor JR” and “GI Tazz” and they salute us. That was pretty funny.

Advertised for tonight is a BIG Six Man Tag Team Match featuring Mark Henry, Kane and MVP taking on Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy and the hometown kid Rey Mysterio!

Miz & Morrison vs. Carlito & Primo

John Morrison has his abs outlined in glitter. Miz & Morrison are meeting DX on the special three hour RAW on Monday. This is a non-title match.

The bell rings and its Primo starting against John Morrison who does the old Rick Rude hip rolling. They lock up and Morrison tries to get behind Primo but Primo gets behind him and gets a hammerlock applied. Morrison twists out of it and gets a hammerlock of his own. Primo tries to run out of it but gets grounded on his knees. Primo gets to his feet and hits a drop toe hold followed by the old embarrassing “I’m spinning on top of you and there’s nothing you can do about it” move and finishes up with an arm bar. Morrison gets to his feet and elbows Primo in the face, then clubs him down. Morrison sends Primo into the ropes and lowers his head causing Primo to back flip over him and hit a nice deep arm drag. Primo follows this up with a nice head scissors takedown and covers for a two count. Primo bounces Morrison’s head off the top turnbuckle and tags in his brother Carlito.

Primo sends Morrison into the ropes, leap frogs him and Carlito dropkicks him down. Carlito covers for a two count. Carlito picks Morrison up and Morrison tries to gain the upper hand with a punch to the midsection but Carlito responds by punching him down. Carlito goes to send Morrison into the ropes but Morrison reverses and sends him into the ropes instead. Carlito jumps onto the second rope and springboards off for a moonsault press but Morrison moves out of the way and Carlito lands on his feet and clotheslines Morrison down! Carlito covers for another two count! Carlito complains to Charles Robinson while Morrison grabs him but the pants and pulls him throat first into the second rope. Morrison tags in The Miz.

Morrison holds Carlito wide open for Miz to kick him in the ribs and then clubs him down before leaving the ring. Miz hits a couple of kicks and punches in the corner before Charles Robinson forces the clean break. Miz sends Carlito into the opposite corner and runs with him but Carlito vaults over Miz and hits a nice arm drag on him! This gets Carlito a one count. Carlito has Miz in a front face lock and tags in Primo.

The WWE Tag Team Champions send Miz into the ropes and execute a double back drop. They then double clothesline him out of the ring! Morrison tries to sneak up behind them but the double hip toss him over the top rope and onto The Miz on the outside! Nicely done!

:::Commercial Break:::

We come back from the break to see Miz sending Primo into the ropes who then levels Miz with a shoulder block. Primo goes into the ropes, jumps over Miz, and comes off the other side and blocks a hip toss attempt from Miz and hip tosses him himself! Primo covers but only gets one.

Primo tags in Carlito. Primo sends Miz into the ropes and takes him down with a drop toe hold and Carlito comes off the ropes with a diving head-butt to the back and covers for a two count! Carlito goes to pick Miz up but Miz pushes his hands off and hits a throat thrust, stunning Carlito. Miz then bounces Carlito’s head off the top turnbuckle and tags in John Morrison.

Miz hits a stomp before leaving. Morrison goes to work on Carlito in the corner with lots of punches and kicks until Charles Robinson forces him away. Morrison goes for a big right hand but Carlito blocks it and gives him a punch of his own. Carlito body slams Morrison before tagging in Primo.

Primo jumps up to Carlito’s shoulders and Carlito powerbombs him down on top of John Morrison!! Primo covers for a two. Morrison’s bedazzled abs are losing their dazzle. Primo goes to pick Morrison up but he stuns him with a few punches. Morrison sends Primo into the ropes and lowers his head allowing Primo to kick him in the face. Primo then goes back into the ropes but is distracted by Miz, whom he promptly punches in the face. Primo then turns and goes to clothesline Morrison but Morrison ducks and vaults off the second rope with a beautiful roundhouse kick! Morrison covers Primo for a two count!

Morrison stomps Primo a few times before putting his throat across the second rope and hitting some crossfaces! Robinson backs him up and Miz sneaks over and kicks him in the face! Primo is now positioned with his throat under the bottom rope so Morrison does the old catapult, crushing Primo’s windpipe against the bottom rope! Morrison pins him for a two count!

Morrison now keeps Primo grounded with a chin lock. The fans are rooting Primo on but it takes a while before he can even get to one foot. Primo eventually gets up and hits a jawbreaker on Morrison who falls back into The Miz, making the tag, and Miz stops Primo before he can tag in Carlito! During this we see an advertisement for The Masked Magician. I don’t know if they’re implying he’ll be on Smackdown tonight.

Miz mounts Primo and punches him incessantly before dropping a leg and covering him for a two count. Miz gets a neck vice on before punching in the face again! Miz now gets a Full Nelson on him! Primo eventually rolls out and does a victory roll but rolls through to make the hot tag to Carlito!

Carlito enters the ring by vaulting off the top rope with a summersault flip that almost missed The Miz! Carlito punches him a few times before sending Miz into the ropes and knocking him down with a back elbow! Carlito then punches Morrison off the apron! Carlito now sends Miz into the corner and charges but eats The Miz’s boot. Miz now charges and Carlito hits a sit out spinebuster for a two count which is broken up by Morrison! Primo now enters the ring and dropkicks Morrison to the outside! Miz now sneaks up on Primo and clubs him to the outside! Carlito now rolls up The Miz but he kicks out at two and a half!!

I think this is where they edited it because it gets kind of sloppy here with some punches before Carlito has an Irish whip reversed on him. Carlito jumps up to the second rope but Morrison pushes him off! Miz capitalizes on the situation by hitting the Reality Check for the win!

Winners by Pinfall: Miz & Morrison
Match Rating: **

Tazz and JR put over how this is a big win going into Monday night against DX. All this buildup just for a glorified squash match.

We now get a shot of the casket backstage with smoke all around it and spooky music playing. Still to come tonight – Undertaker vs. Chavo Guerrero in a Casket Match!

:::Commercial Break:::

WrestleMania tickets are available in seven days. Go get them.

We get a shot of the San Diego Bay. It’s nice there.

We now go to a pre-taped segment with The Masked Magician and Maria. Jesse and Festus are there as well. The Masked Magician is going to put Maria in a box called the Twister. He puts her in the box and all we can see is her head in a box and her legs coming out the bottom. The Masked Magician twists her head 360 degrees twice and then opens the box to show that her body is twisted as well. Jesse warns The Masked Magician to untwist her or the Corn Fed Colossus will go nuts. He closes the box and twists counterclockwise and she’s back to normal. That was a pretty cool trick.

Jimmy Wang Yang comes out dressed as John Wayne and is announced as John Wayne Yang! JR is beside himself with glee as The Duke is his hero. Yang gets on the microphone and says “Howdy”. He’s John Wayne Yang and tells us to remember he’s our boy, pilgrims. Yee haw!

:::Commercial Break:::

Did you know that for the third time this month, Smackdown broke the record for the most watched show in MyNetworkTV history?

John Wayne Yang vs. The Brian Kendrick

The bell rings and they circle the ring. They lock up and Yang immediately takes The Kendrick down with an arm drag! The Kendrick is upset and walks right up to Yang and pushes him! Yang responds by stomping on his foot and putting him in a side headlock! The Kendrick pushes him off into the ropes, Yang ducks a clothesline, comes off the ropes and cartwheels over The Kendrick who went down and delivers a hurricanrana! The Kendrick is in the corner so Yang runs up for the ten punches but only gets three before getting pushed off. The Kendrick charges and gets taken down with a leg sweep followed by a picture perfect dropkick. The Kendrick now rolls out of the ring for a breather.

Yang follows him out and throws him back in. Yang gets on the apron to do something but is distracted by a simple slap on the mat from Ezekiel Jackson on the other side of the ring and The Kendrick capitalizes with a forearm to the face! The Kendrick twists Yang’s arm and kicks it! The Kendrick then gets him in a hammerlock and throws him shoulder first into the turnbuckle. The Kendrick kicks Yang in the ribs and then delivers a hammerlock body slam! The Kendrick then goes up to the second rope and comes off for a double knee but Yang moves out of the way and its crash and burn!

Yang starts in with a kick to the back of the knee followed by a flipping roundhouse kick to the back of the head! John Wayne Yang covers for a CLOSE two and a half count! Yang now kicks The Kendrick in the ribs and then hits a nice jumping calf kick to the back of the head, sending him flying! The Kendrick climbs up in the corner and Yang kills him with corner back flip kick! Yang now goes up to the top rope and hits a high crossbody for a sickeningly close two and a half count!

The Kendrick is now begging Yang off and then surprises him by pulling on his pants and sending him face first into the second turnbuckle! The Kendrick now goes for The Kendrick but Yang doesn’t go and goes up to the top rope and hits Yang Time but Ezekiel Jackson pulls The Kendrick out of the ring at two, causing the disqualification!!

Winner by Disqualification: John Wayne Yang
Match Rating: * ½

John Wayne Yang isn’t happy about this so he vaults over the top rope but Ezekiel Jackson catches him and drops him face first on the ring apron! Jackson then throws him in the ring and hits his Standing Sambo Suplex! The Kendrick gets in the ring and instructs him to pick Yang up! The Kendrick then proceeds to hit The Kendrick on poor John Wayne Yang!

Backstage The Great Khali and Ranjin Singh are walking and talking. All of a sudden they are stopped by Kung Fu Naki! Kung Fu Naki asks The Great Khali to teach him the art of seduction! Singh translates and The Great Khali speaks. It is translated as “Size matters!” They then continue walking as after the break we’re getting a special Halloween Khali Kiss Cam!

:::Commercial Break:::

We come back from the break and see the casket backstage. It’s creaking open… Before we see anything we see the advertisement for the Casket Match tonight!

The Great Khali and Ranjin Singh are in the ring. Singh says that Khali said “Happy Halloween” and this is the Trick or Treat edition of the Khali Kiss Cam! Last week The Great Khali made dreams come true for a very special cowgirl in Laredo, Texas. When Khali kissed her she started humming “Happy Trails to you”. Singh says it’s been seven days of non-stop e-mails to the Punjabi Playboy. Women all over the world are falling in love with him.

It’s now time for the Trick or Treat edition of the Khali Kiss Cam! Singh will choose the lady with the nicest costume. They show some good looking girls and one girl that looked like a dude in drag. I think the dude kissed his dude friend on the cheek. He was holding a beer – the power of alcohol. They then show an obese woman dressed as the Wicked Witch of the West and Singh proclaims her as “the one!”

This plant is overacting big time. This girl isn’t as big as last week’s girl. Singh says he can’t get over the costume. The nose is perfect (it’s a long, fake nose) and the warts are so lifelike they have hair growing out of them (I believe they’re implying that they are real). The lady identifies herself as Beatrix Sprawl or something of that nature.

Singh says this is the moment she’s been waiting for – Khali will cast a love spell on her! She proclaims that she loves him. Plant! Singh says after one kiss she’ll be flying without a broom. They then start playing the 70’s porno sounding music and Singh wants Khali to kiss her. Khali is reluctant at first but then he lifts up her nose and gives her a small peck on the lips and raises his arms while she dances around happily. You should be ashamed, woman.

Singh then asks Beatrix how it was and she said it was great but she wants another one – a French kiss!! The warts do look real – they went out of their way to make her extra busted!!

Khali shakes his head no. Singh says yes but under one condition – she takes the mask off! She states that she isn’t wearing a mask. Singh is shocked and asks if the warts are real! She calls them beauty marks!

Singh then says it’s time to do it and asks the crowd, in the spirit of Halloween, if they want to see The Great Khali French kiss the Wicked Witch of San Diego! The audience is overwhelmingly supportive of this motion and she’s going nuts! Singh then says Khali is nervous and needs some encouragement so he leads the crowd in chanting “Khali, Khali!” Khali stalls with all his might but eventually gives in, lifts up the nose, thinks about it and then sinks his tongue in her mouth!!

Khali comes up looking like he’s going to puke and the woman is passed out on the mat. This may be the stupidest thing I’ve seen since they’ve started this Kiss Cam thing.

Backstage Vickie Guerrero is watching this and laughing. We then see the heart graphic with the replay of Khali kissing her.

Coming up next – The Six Man Tag Match!

:::Commercial Break:::

The Smack of the Night is brought to us by Just For Men Hair Gel – It showcases MVP getting beat by Kung Fu Naki last Friday in that tag match!

Kane, Mark Henry & MVP vs. Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy & Rey Mysterio

While MVP was coming out Gregory Helms popped up in the corner in the “Hurrapop” and said MVP should try something new – like winning! He’s just saying!

The bell rings and Matt Hardy is up first against Mark Henry! Henry goes to lock up but Hardy ducks and starts in with some rights and lefts! Hardy ducks a punch from Henry and keeps going with the punching! Matt Hardy then goes into the ropes and gets caught by Mark Henry, who promptly body slams him! Henry goes into the ropes and goes for an elbow drop but Hardy moved out of the way!

Matt twists Henry’s arm and tags in his brother Jeff who attacks that arm and twists and punches it a few more times before tagging Matt back in. Matt goes to the top rope but Henry powers Jeff off him. Matt goes for a crossbody but is caught in mid air! Jeff Hardy then makes the big save by chopping Henry’s knee, allowing Matt Hardy to fall on top of him for a one count before he’s powered off! Matt hits some rights before going into the ropes and getting clobbered by a HUGE clothesline from Mark Henry!

Henry tags in MVP who buries a knee deep in Hardy’s midsection. MVP then digs his knee into Matt Hardy’s midsection three more times before body slamming him. JR goes over how MVP just needs one more win to cash in that incentives bonus. MVP goes to drop a knee but Matt gets out of the way!

Matt makes the tag to Mysterio and the crowd goes crazy! Mysterio comes in and starts kicking the back of MVP’s injured knee before going into the ropes, ducking a clothesline and hitting a really nice swinging hurricanrana! Mysterio then goes back into the ropes and hits a low dropkick to the face and covers MVP for a two count!

Mysterio twists MVP’s arm and tags in Matt Hardy. Mysterio now has MVP in a headlock and Matt Hardy clubs MVP’s back. Matt has MVP in a front face lock and tags in his brother Jeff Hardy! Mysterio makes the tag on Jeff Hardy as Jeff and Matt lift MVP up for a double suplex! They hold him up as Mysterio goes up to the top rope and comes off for a combination double suplex and crossbody!! Mysterio then knocks Kane off the apron as the Hardys knock Henry off the apron!! Mysterio then covers MVP for a CLOSE two and a half count!!

Mysterio kicks MVP in the chest and goes to whip him into the corner but gets whipped instead. MVP charges and Mysterio gets a boot in his face, knocking him down! Mysterio now quickly goes up to the top rope but is caught by MVP, who gets him in position for the Electric Chair Drop but Mysterio punches him a few times and counters with a hurricanrana! MVP is now in position for the 619!! Mysterio goes into the ropes but is pulled out forcefully by Kane!! Now it’s time for a commercial.

:::Commercial Break:::

We come back from the break to see MVP body slamming Mysterio and dropping a forearm across the chest before covering for a two count! MVP body slams Mysterio again and tags in Kane, who goes into the ropes and hits Mysterio with a running kick to the face! Kane now impressively military presses Mysterio and drops him flat! Kane then covers for a two count! Kane whips Mysterio into the corner and tags in Mark Henry.

Kane continues clubbing Mysterio as Henry enters. Henry then drags Mysterio to the ropes like a rag doll and stands on his chest! If this was taped on Halloween that would completely ruin the holiday. Henry then easily lifts Mysterio up with one arm and then clubs him across the chest down! Henry screams in his face before dropping down to deliver more forearms to the chest. Henry covers again for a two count! Henry now tags in MVP.

MVP comes in with some kicks to the ribs. MVP then gets a gut wrench on Mysterio as JR compares him to Terrell Owens. Mysterio eventually gets to his feet and begins elbowing out which sends the crowd into frenzy but they’re disappointed when MVP delivers a back suplex! This exchange gets MVP a two and a half count.

MVP holds Mysterio wide open as Kane tags in and kicks Mysterio in the chest. Kane gets Mysterio in the corner and hits a running shoulder block. Kane hits a swift kick and a nice right hand as well. Kane sends Mysterio into the opposite corner and charges but Mysterio gets both feet up in his face! Mysterio charges and Kane goes for a tilt-a-whirl slam but Mysterio counters with a nice reverse DDT! Both men are down and crawling towards their corners! Kane tags MVP and Mysterio tags Jeff Hardy!!

Hardy comes in with a huge clothesline on MVP, followed by another clothesline and then another!! MVP catches a kick but Hardy counters this with his flipping mule kick, sending MVP into the corner! Henry tries to come into the ring but Hardy dropkicks him off the apron!! MVP now charges and misses a clothesline, allowing Hardy to hit Whisper in the Wind!! Hardy covers and Kane breaks it up at two!!

Matt Hardy runs in and Kane catches him by the throat! Mysterio saves the day with a kick to the leg and Matt Hardy clotheslines Kane over the top rope! Mysterio follows this up with a top rope crossbody vault to the outside on Kane!! Matt Hardy now drop toe holds Mark Henry face first into the corner and The Hardys hit Poetry in Motion!! Jeff Hardy catches MVP charging and goes for Twist of Fate but is pushed off so Matt Hardy comes in and hits the Twist of Fate!! Jeff Hardy now goes to the top rope and hits the Swanton Bomb for the win!!

Winners by Pinfall: Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy & Rey Mysterio
Match Rating: ** ¾

All three men celebrate and pose for the crowd, who are going nuts.

Backstage we see the casket again. They advertise the Casket Match again.

Another video for the stupid Kizarny plays. This time he’s with sword swallowers. How come he can say “I am Kizarny” in perfect English but not anything /*? This carny talk is really corny.

Tazz then calls Kizarny a weirdo. I agree. JR then mentions that we set a record last week for MyNetworkTV.

Vladimir Kozlov’s music hits and he’s making his way out to the ring. He’s in the ring with a microphone and starts talking. In the corner is Gregory Helms mouthing along making angry faces. That was pretty funny. Anyway, Kozlov is saying (I think) that if it wasn’t for us at Cyber Sunday he would have killed Triple H and been standing here as the World Champion. He calls us stupid and lazy like Triple H (I think). So, since we won’t give him a chance, he’s calling out Triple H!

Triple H responds as his music hits and he’s making his way out to the ring. He takes his time getting in the ring and grabs a microphone. Triple H calls him “Boris” and says he’s been doing a great job up until now – jumping people from behind, beating them up when they’re not looking – but all of that stops now! He’s in the ring and he’s staring at him eye to eye so if he wants to fight then “let’s do it!”

Kozlov says he doesn’t want to fight because he’s proven already that he can beat Triple H up. He wants to fight for a championship and points to the WWE Championship. Kozlov says he’s going to take it because Vladimir Kozlov can.

Triple H says that Kozlov said he’d be king. I didn’t make that out – good ears, Hunter. Triple H says he knows things in Russia move slower than they do in the USA (cheap pop). He knows sometimes they’re not up to speed and cites that the original Rocky movie is probably just hitting the big screen there. Triple H then mentions Rocky IV and says there was this big Russian who was unstoppable. The dude killed Apollo Creed! However, at the end of the movie, the American kicks the living crap out of the Russian! If Kozlov wants a match for the WWE Championship then he should take it up with Vickie Guerrero. Until then, he tells Khali to shut him mouth and fight.

Triple H takes off his jacket and they stand nose to nose. They tease something but Kozlov just backs away.

:::Commercial Break:::

We get another outdoors shot of San Diego.

We now see another video about John Cena and how he grew up. Ok, he’s coming back.

Michelle McCool’s music hits and she comes out with Brie Bella and Maria! McCool is dressed in her skimpy army outfit, Maria is a bunny and Brie Bella is Cleopatra. These are their costumes from Cyber Sunday.

Maryse’s music hits and she comes out with Natalya and Victoria. Maryse is looking good as a French maid, Natalya is a cop and seriously looks like the Big Bossman in drag, and Victoria is the Banana singing “Peanut Butter Jelly Time”. Either way it’s hilarious. I was dying on Sunday.

Michelle McCool, Maria & Brie Bella vs. Maryse, Natalya & Victoria

The bell rings and its Maria starting out against Victoria. Victoria quickly kicks Maria in the midsection and goes to whip her into the ropes but Maria cartwheels away. They then do something that just looks sloppy and Victoria cartwheels this time. Maria hits a roundhouse kick and Gregory Helms pops up in the corner saying that the Diva’s always make him pop up. He’s just saying!

Victoria starts in with some clubs to the back. Victoria gets Maria in a Full Nelson and tags Natalya, who goes to work on Maria with some punches and kicks. Natalya whips Maria into the corner and charges but Maria jumps over her and starts punching her. Maria grabs Natalya’s arm and Brie Bella tags in.

Bella hits a kick in the midsection. Bella wrenches the arm again and then hits her innovative snapmare. Bella has a whip in the corner reversed on her. Natalya charges but Bella gets a knee in the midsection. Bella goes up to the second rope and comes off for a crossbody but is caught in midair. This seems like everyone’s favorite spot tonight, no? Natalya then powers her onto her shoulders and hits a devastating Samoan Drop! Ouch! Natalya covers and Bella kicks out at two and a half! Natalya powers Bella into her corner, punches her square in the face and tags in Maryse.

Maryse comes in and kicks her in the midsection. Maryse then hits a forearm to the face and a knee to the midsection. Maryse then hits a nice spinning backbreaker! Bella kicks out at two! Victoria is now screaming that it’s her turn so Maryse bounces Bella’s head off the turnbuckle and tags Victoria in.

Victoria kicks her in the midsection and hits the Spider’s Web for a near fall! Victoria is shocked and throws Bella out of the ring! Victoria must have realized what she had done as she quickly ran out to get her. Victoria grabs Bella by the legs when she’s half way under the ring. She eventually gets under there and comes out not as Cleopatra. She punches Victoria a few times before tagging in the Diva’s Champion!

McCool comes in and clotheslines Victoria down! McCool then hits a nice dropkick and another! McCool then kicks her in the midsection and goes into the ropes for a nice flipping neckbreaker! McCool covers for a two count. McCool then baseball slides into Natalya and Maryse, knocking them off the apron! Victoria now hits a few knees to the midsection, sends McCool into the ropes (and she collides with Maria on the apron, tagging her in) and knocks Victoria down with a big boot. The referee says McCool has to get out as Maria comes off the top rope with a crossbody for the win!

Winners by Pinfall: Michelle McCool, Maria & Brie Bella
Match Rating: * ½

McCool looks a little unhappy with what just transpired but she celebrates along with her team.

Announced for next week: R-Truth vs. Shelton Benjamin for the United States Championship!

The casket is backstage and it is opened. It then closes. The Casket Match is next!!

:::Commercial Break:::

Tazz thanks AC/DC for the use of their song “Spoilin’ for a Fight” off their new album Black Ice. It’s the official theme song of the Survivor Series. Survivor Series is also sponsored by Smackdown vs. Raw 2009. I can’t wait for that.

The bell rings and Justin Roberts, dressed as Dracula, explains the rules of the Casket Match. They’re simple – get the guy in the casket and close the lid.

Chavo Guerrero is out first. He looks like he’s doing his best to stay pumped up.

The sound of monks chanting fills the arena and the lights go out. The druids have made their return to Smackdown, bringing down the casket! Chavo looks terrified as this is going on.

The familiar gong goes off and the Undertaker is making his impressive entrance on this Halloween edition of Smackdown. Today really is his day.

Undertaker is getting ready to fight and all of a sudden Big Show’s music hits! He comes out still rubbing his throat. Apparently Big Show will be watching this match from the ramp.

The Casket Match will begin after the break!

:::Commercial Break:::

Casket Match
Chavo Guerrero vs. The Undertaker

The bell rings and both men are still looking at Big Show. Undertaker finally turns towards Chavo Guerrero and begins his approach. Undertaker is trying to get Chavo cornered but Chavo just keeps going around the ring. Chavo goes to step out of the ring towards the casket but realized where he was going and came back in to a big boot! Undertaker stares at Big Show as he bounces Chavo’s head off the top turnbuckle. Undertaker keeps staring as he delivers a head-butt and a punch to the midsection. Undertaker then throws Chavo through the ropes to the outside.

Undertaker follows and whips Chavo hard into the barricade! I’ve sat behind the barricade at King of the Ring 2001. When DDP hit the barricade and my foot was by it I was hurting. I say this because I just saw some lady flip out. Undertaker now puts Chavo on his shoulder and drops him face first on the casket!

Undertaker now opens the casket and goes to put Chavo in. They have a camera inside the casket that shows Chavo begins not to be put in, which is hilarious. Undertaker closes the casket on Chavo’s head and punches it! Undertaker keeps staring at Big Show as he bounces Chavo’s face off the casket. Undertaker now hits a body shot and a right hand to the face.

Undertaker now turns towards Big Show and begins his approach. Undertaker then turns towards Chavo who is against the casket and charges for a running big boot but Chavo moves out of the way and Undertaker hits the casket hard! Chavo tries to capitalize by stomping the Undertaker on the ground. Chavo hits a few punches and goes on the apron. Chavo dives off but Undertaker catches him in a bear hug and drives Chavo’s back against the barricade! Memories.

Undertaker now signals for the referees to open the casket. Taker puts Chavo into the ring and enters but Chavo DDTs him coming in through the ropes! Chavo now starts stomping on the Undertaker as he signals for Big Show to come in! Show is coming down and all of a sudden Undertaker sits up but Chavo kicks him in the face!

Chavo now goes to the outside and gets a chair. He comes back in and waits for the Phenom to get up. When he does Chavo charges but Undertaker back drops him! Undertaker whips Chavo into the corner and hits a corner clothesline! Undertaker then hits snake eyes and follows it up with a big boot!

Undertaker now signals again for the casket to be opened. Undertaker puts Chavo on his shoulder to throw him in but Big Show has seen enough and slams the lid down before anything happens. Undertaker stares down Big Show as Chavo comes from behind with a steel chair to the back of the knee! Chavo now waits for him to get up again and then charges but Undertaker Chokeslams him!!

Big Show now attacks Undertaker when he turns around! Big Show hits some body shots and a head-butt. Big Show now waits for Undertaker to get up and then hits a body shot. Undertaker responds with a big right hand! He hits a few more before Big Show hits a few more body shots but Undertaker keeps going with the rights! Undertaker then head-butts Big Show but hurts himself more so Big Show head-butts him himself! Undertaker is now climbing up using the ropes. Big Show charges and Undertaker pulls the top rope down and Big Show lands on the casket! When he realizes where he is Big Show quickly leaves!

Undertaker now does his throat cut taunt and turns towards Chavo Guerrero, who is just getting up! Undertaker then delivers a Tombstone Piledriver, puts Chavo in the casket and closes it!

Winner: The Undertaker
Match Rating: **

Undertaker stares down Big Show again before doing his kneeling taunt and the lights turn blue.

Backstage Vickie Guerrero is watching the end of the match. We don’t see who she’s talking to but she says if that person wants a match then fine but he has to do one favor for her – beat the Undertaker next week and he gets Triple H at Survivor Series! The camera pans out to show its Vladimir Kozlov!

Mike’s Thoughts

Not a bad Halloween edition of Smackdown! We had some two good matches tonight and an old favorite of mine – the Casket Match. Always lots of fun.

I’m kind of digging where they’re going with Vladimir Kozlov now. I’m really interested in his match against Undertaker next week and even more interested in a prospective match against Triple H for the WWE Championship at Survivor Series, which would be Kozlov’s first PPV match!

I really don’t have many other thoughts other than I hate Kizarny. It’s been a long Halloween night. I was the Joker. I know it’s unoriginal – but fun! Marianna on the other hand was Jeff Hardy and looked really great for a girl dressed up as a guy.

Be sure to watch next week – it’s a HUGE Smackdown! R-Truth takes on Shelton Benjamin in a match for the United States Championship and Undertaker takes on Vladimir Kozlov! I hope you all had a great Halloween!

Final Smackdown Rating: ** ½
