There are several major news items to report on from Thursday's "iMPACT!" on SpikeTV as TNA Wrestling continues down the road to the January 14 "Final Resolution" Pay-Per-View event!

THE END OF AMERICA’S MOST WANTED – JAMES STORM TURNS HIS BACK ON CHRIS HARRIS
It was the end of an era on Thursday’s “iMPACT!” as the most heralded tag team in TNA Wrestling history is no more. It was the LAX vs. AMW with two major stipulations – if AMW won, they would regain the World Tag Team Title. If LAX won, AMW would be forced to disband. However, no one ever imagined that James Storm would be the one to end AMW as he smashed a beer bottle in Chris Harris’ face! After Storm left the ring, LAX got the easy win to retain the title and officially end AMW. Now, the question is what will be the fallout from James Storm’s actions? Without a doubt, there is more to come in this dramatic turn of events in TNA!

SAMOA JOE: “THERE WILL BE NO REMATCH” – KURT ANGLE SNAPS!
Following his loss to Samoa Joe at “Turning Point”, Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle came to “iMPACT!” with one thing on his mind – getting a rematch from Samoa Joe. However, “The Samoan Submission Machine” denied Angle a return bout, saying his goal now was to win the NWA World Heavyweight Title. Joe’s response enraged Angle, who attacked Don West, Eric Young, referee Mark Johnson and even ringside valet SoCal Val during the broadcast in an attempt to force Joe’s hand! TNA management director Jim Cornette tried to end Angle’s rage, saying he couldn’t force Joe in the rematch, but he would sign Kurt Angle and Rhino to face Samoa Joe and AJ Styles next Thursday night!

STING LEAVES WITH ABYSS’ WORLD TITLE – CAGE DEMANDS ANOTHER REMATCH
NWA World Heavyweight Champion Abyss is certainly feeling pressure from all sides, as both Sting and Christian Cage are going all-out to get their rematch for the gold. On Thursday’s “iMPACT!”, Christian Cage and Tomko came out to demand a rematch, saying they would reveal a secret about Abyss if they didn’t get it. This brought out the champion and his manager, leading to an all-out brawl that TNA security and Jim Cornette attempted to end. After Cage and Tomko left the ring, Abyss grabbed Cornette by the throat, leading to Sting appearing in an attempt to once again get inside the mind of the monster. Sting’s words apparently had an effect on Abyss, as he nearly annihilated his own manager James Mitchell! At this point, Sting grabbed the World Title and left the ring! Why did Sting take the gold? With Sting now in possession of Abyss’ championship, what will happen on Thursday’s “iMPACT!” on SpikeTV?

Other news from Thursday’s “iMPACT!” on SpikeTV:

- Canada’s own Petey Williams scored a non-title win over X Champion Christopher Daniels on “iMPACT!” following interference by Chris Sabin. During the bout, Sabin attempted to strike Daniels with the championship, but Jerry Lynn hit the ring to stop him. Daniels turned around to see Lynn in the ring and hit him with a kick to the back of the head. Seizing the opportunity, Williams rolled up Daniels for the win. After the bout, both Daniels and Lynn had to be separated from each other!

- Robert Roode, Inc. wants to hire Eric Young! On “iMPACT!”, Ms. Brooks attempted to get Young to sign a deal with Robert Roode Inc. so she wouldn’t be fired!
