KURT ANGLE GETS HIS REMATCH AGAINST SAMOA JOE
On Thursday’s “iMPACT!”, Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle finally got Samoa Joe to agree to a rematch at “Final Resolution”, but only after threatening to hurt Joe’s girlfriend during the MVP award ceremony! Joe was in the ring accepting the TNA MVP of the Year award when Angle appeared on stage holding Joe’s girlfriend. Angle told Joe – who was still on crutches – that by the time he got to the ramp her ankle would be broken. Joe quickly agreed to the rematch, but Angle still attempted to injure her with the ankle lock! Without a shadow of a doubt, the feud between Joe and Angle has just hit a new, personal and violent level! The Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe rematch will take place live on Pay-Per-View on Sunday, January 14 – with both stars tied at one win apiece!
TEAM 3D: “WE WANT THE LATIN AMERICAN EXCHANGE!”
Since coming to TNA in 2005, Team 3D has said it’s their ultimate goal to capture the NWA World Tag Team Title. It appears Brother Ray and Brother Devon now have set their sights on doing just that, as they called out the champions – The Latin American Exchange – on Thursday’s broadcast. Although Brother Runt interrupted the challenge and a fight ensued between Runt and Ray, the LAX hit the ring for a brawl that not even TNA security could break up!
ARE ABYSS AND MANAGER JAMES MITCHELL AT A CROSSROADS?
Also on “iMPACT!”, manager James Mitchell had some very harsh words for his monster Abyss, claiming that he was disgusted by the NWA World Heavyweight Champion and ordered him to immediately sever whatever ties he has with Sting! Later in the broadcast, Sting won a Nightstick Match against Abyss and Christian Cage – leading to Cage and Tomko putting a beatdown on the legend. However, against the orders of Mitchell, Abyss once again helped Sting by chasing off Cage and Tomko!
Later that night, TNA management director Jim Cornette announced that Abyss will defend the World Title at “Final Resolution” in an Elimination Match against both Sting and Christian Cage!

- Ron “The Truth” Killings announced during the Robert Roode vs. Lance Hoyt bout that he is heading to Hollywood to chase his dream of becoming a movie star! During the same bout, Ms. Brooks was seen pushing Eric Young into the backstage bathroom! Apparently, Brooks is now going all-out to get Young to become a member of Robert Roode, Inc!
