Matches announced for ROH “Golden Dream” on 11/2

Ring of Honor Returns To Cincinnati!

Saturday night November 2nd will see the return of Ring of Honor Wrestling to Cincinnati and The Masonic Center! Last time we were there for “Honor Vs. Evil” the face of ROH looked quite different as World Champion Kevin Steen lead S.C.U.M to victory in a 6-Man Elimination Tag over Adam Cole, Michael Elgin, and Davey Richards. In that bout Steen pinned all three of his opponents, not to mention seriously hurt Adam Cole with a nasty piledriver.

Fast forward to now and the tables have turned. S.C.U.M is dead and Kevin Steen was the man responsible for delivering the fatal blow at Steel Cage Warfare on ROH TV. The World Title now rests on the shoulders of a very different Adam Cole, an Adam Cole who cleanly captured the vacant championship at “Death Before Dishonor XI” only to assault both Jay Briscoe and Michael Elgin after the victory. His attitude has taken a 180 and with one successful defense already under his belt at “A New Dawn”, Cole will now head into Cincinnati to make his second defense.

The man who will receive that opportunity is also a man who defeated Cole at “Road to Greatness: Night 1”, a former World Champion himself, “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen!

“He defeated Adam Cole in Chattanooga,” said Nigel McGuinness to ROHWrestling.com, “He proved himself to me when he ran through most of SCUM and put the final nail in the coffin at Steel Cage Warfare. Toss in the fact that Kevin Steen has yet to receive a championship rematch since losing to Jay Briscoe. Top if off with Cincinnati deserving a top shelf title clash and we have the makings of Adam Cole versus Kevin Steen for the Ring of Honor World Title!”

Steen’s dream since “Supercard of Honor VII” has been to reclaim the ROH World Title he lost in NYC and that dream could come true in Cincinnati on November 2nd! All he needs to do is put his issues with Michael Bennett to pasture at “Glory by Honor XII” so he can focus on his title goal!

Steen’s dreams are the only ones that could come true on 11/2 though as Jimmy Jacobs will enter into the final match of his Trial Series that night against Roderick Strong. Jacobs is 1-1 thus far with bouts against Michael Bennett this weekend in Baltimore and against Adam Page in Chicago Ridge on 10/26 on tap. He MUST win two more bouts if he wishes to receive a World Title opportunity in Dearborn on November 15th. Jimmy’s is another dream that could come true in Ohio.

Two other men will have a chance to achieve dreams in Cincinnati as well; one that night and one at “Final Battle 2013”! Nigel McGuinness has informed ROHWrestling.com that the future of the TV Title will be shaped at The Masonic Center. That night one man will challenge for the TV Title one-on-one while four others will battle it out to see who will receive a championship opportunity on December 14th!

Cincinnati and “The Golden Dream” could shape the face of Ring of Honor for the rest of 2013! If you are in the area, do NOT miss out on this event! Tickets are on-sale right now (http://www.rohwrestling.com/product/cincinnati-oh-november-2nd) in the ROH Store!

Who will earn their shot???

November 2nd, 2013; on that day ROH brings the absolute best pro wrestling on the planet to Cincinnati, OH for “The Golden Dream”!

Already announced for this event are Adam Cole defending the World Title against former World Champion Kevin Steen and Jimmy Jacobs’ final Trial Series bout against Roderick Strong! It was also announced that the TV Title WILL be defended AND that a Four Corner Survival will take place to determine the top contender for “Final Battle 2013”.

While the title match has yet to be finalized, ROHWrestling.com has confirmed the participants in that Four Corner Survival. It is safe to say that no matter who wins, the champion is going to have his hands full in December! Vying for that TV Title opportunity will be former TV Champion Jay Lethal, Mark Briscoe, “The Sicilian Psychopath” Tommaso Ciampa, and Michael Bennett! Lethal, Ciampa, and Bennett are certainly no strangers to one another as the three men battled it over the TV Title during Lethal’s reign. It was also during that 2/3 Falls Bout at “Boiling Point 2012” with Lethal that Ciampa suffered the injury that put him on the shelf for months.

While Mark Briscoe may seem like the odd man out in that equation, he has been in pursuit of the TV Title for quite some time now…his entire life actually. Little known fact, since he was a kid it has always been a dream of Mark’s to hold the Television Championship in whatever company he grew up to wrestle for. He has had opportunities with previous champions like Eddie Edwards and Christopher Daniels, and has already faced off with Taven once before. His previous challenge against the HoT’s poster boy though was, as one can expect, notably marred by…hoopla.

Three men look to get one step closer to claiming their very first singles title in ROH while the fourth hopes to become the first 2-time TV Champion. All they have to do is be the man whose hand is raised at “The Golden Dream” and that goal will be one step closer to fulfillment. Lethal vs. Ciampa vs. Bennett vs. Briscoe! It goes down on November 2nd at the Masonic Center in Cincinnati and tickets can be yours right here in the ROH Store!
