Press release for “Elksmania” show on 9/27

The following press release was sent into Wrestleview.com:

– BEVERLY, MASSACHUSETTS, September 27, 2014 – Bay State gold will be on the line as Antonio “The Promise” Thomas challenges champion Buddy Romano in the main event of ELKMANIA 2 at the Beverly/Salem Lodge of Elks in Beverly, MA on Saturday, September 27th, presented by East Boston Savings Bank. This will surely go down as the biggest main event to ever hit the North Shore, and it’s all for a worthy cause. Tickets are on sale at Silver Moon Comics & Collectibles located inside the East India Square Mall in Salem, MA.

-Antonio Thomas is a veteran of the squared circle who has competed all over the world and has squared off against some of the biggest names this industry has to offer. Thomas has wrestled in Ring of Honor, All Japan Pro Wrestling, TNA Impact Wrestling, and is best known for his time in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). “The Promise” is also the founder of Ringsport Pro Wrestling & Performance Gym, and has trained and mentored some of the best wrestlers on the east coast.

-Buddy Romano is the inaugural Bay State champion and won the title at last year’s ElkMania in a Triple Threat match. Romano’s technical savvy, ring generalship, and blue collar demeanor has made him a fan favorite in Massachusetts and beyond. The coveted Bay State title is one of the many championships Romano has amassed over his career and he never shies away from a challenge. This time, however, he finds himself in the daunting position of facing the biggest threat to his title.

-While there is no ill will between the two, a win in this encounter is of the highest priority for both combatants. Thomas is considered to be the premiere athlete in New England and wants the title while Romano is out to prove that he is now the gold standard in the region. This extraordinary bout along with the 2014 ElkMania Tournament, 15-man over the top rope Battle Royal, and so much more will top off what will be a phenomenal night of professional wrestling action.

-East Boston Savings Bank presents ELKMANIA 2 on Saturday, September 27, at the Beverly/Salem Lodge, of Elks, 39 Bow Street, Beverly, MA. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Bell time is at 7:00 PM. Tickets are just $10.00. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Elks National Foundation which supports youth programs, veteran services and scholarships.

-ElkMania, in association with Project Zero Wrestling, is a Massachusetts based professional wrestling promotion. Its operations are based in Beverly and Salem Massachusetts.
