New details on ROH trying to expand budget with Sinclair

ROH COO Joe Koff recently met with executives at Sinclair Broadcast Group (the owners of Ring of Honor) pitching to expand the budget for the company in 2015 and 2016. According to a report by Dave Meltzer, Koff pushed that they could become the No. 2 wrestling company in the country with TNA now being on Destination America.

The Briscoes and Adam Cole were also involved with the meeting pushing the same. The pitch reportedly didn’t go over well as Sinclair wants ROH to be more disciplined about spending in 2015. ROH is said to be looked at as being a provider of consistent television programming, but Sinclair isn’t looking to invest strongly in helping expand it even further.
