SWA “WrestleMania of the Gulf Coast”
Crestview, FL
May 30, 2015
Preview by: Josh Boutwell of WrestleView.com

Every year Mr. Fantasy’s Southern Wrestling Alliance brings a super card to Crestview, FL in what ends up always being one of the best events Northern Florida/Southern Alabama sees all year long. The likes of “Bullet” Bob Armstrong, “Road Dogg” Jesse James, Tom Prichard, CHIKARA’s Lince Dorado, Hurricane Helms, and many other wrestling greats have taken part in these huge events. This year will be no different as former WWE star and current TNA star Matt Hardy wrestles in Crestview for the first time ever. Indy stars from all over the south including Rex Andrews, Paul Jordane, Justin Overstreet, Zane Stevens, The Rayz Brothers, Kyle Matthews, and even the legendary Armstrong family all converge upon Crestview on May 30th!

Triple Threat Match
“That Guy” Chris Tighe vs. “The Master of Devastation” Cameron Frost vs. Christopher Slade
Every year SWA attempts to set the tone right with a wild opening match, and this year will be no different as three staples of the Gulf Coast meet in a Triple Threat Match. Chris Tighe, Cameron Frost, and Christopher Slade have all been staples on the Gulf Coast wrestling scene for years now, and Slade especially has drawn a lot of interest with the performances he’s put on. Both he and Tighe competed in last year’s opening match, a crazy Super 6-Way Match that Slade won. Slade will look to continue his winning streak at the Mania of the Gulf Coast. This is sure to be one of the highlights of the night and could end up being a show stealer.

The Professionals (Justin Overstreet & Zane Stevens) vs. The Sin City Saints (Scotty & Billy Rayz)
Speaking of show stealer, two of the very best tag teams that the Gulf Coast has to offer in The Professionals (formerly the Asphalt Cowboys) and The Sin City Saints (aka The Rayz Boyz), will meet in what should be a terrific tag team bout. Justin Overstreet of The Professionals is a former AIWF World Heavyweight Champion and Stevens has become one of the best young stars in northern Florida especially for the NWH promotion in Panama City. The Sin City Saints have been an extremely popular tag team on the Gulf Coast for some time and the high flying duo will look to do what they do best, steal the show, against The Professionals.

Dan Delicious vs. Bad Boy Leroy
The flamboyant Dan Delicious will face the mysterious Bad Boy Leroy in one-on-one action. No one knows who Leroy is but the mysterious man claims that Delicious knows exactly who he is and he will reveal himself May 30th!

Kyle Matthews vs. Rex Andrews
Another potential show stealing match will see Reality of Wrestling star Rex Andrews facing off against Georgia native Kyle Matthews. Matthews and Andrews are two of the very best wrestlers in the south and are both all around wrestlers that can grapple with anyone and both can even fly a little bit or brawl when the time comes. Matthews’ most exposure came in his appearances for Ring of Honor in the past and as the masked 17 in CHIKARA. Andrews, who was at one point one of the best all around performers on the Gulf Coast, has spent the majority of the last couple of years working in Texas for Booker T’s “Reality of Wrestling” promotion as well as training with Booker T in his wrestling school. These two youngsters are the future of wrestling in the south and could very well end up on your TV screens at some point in the future, and if the world is anything close to fair both will one day.

Semi Main Event Six Man Tag Team Match
The Armstrongs (“Bullet” Bob, Steve, & Stevie Armstrong) vs. Michael Steele, “Scarface” Waylon Barley, & The California Kid
Three generations of Armstrong’s come together at the Mania of the Gulf Coast when WWE Hall of Famer “Bullet” Bob Armstrong teams with his son Steve Armstrong and his grandson Stevie Armstrong in a Six Man Tag against the monstrous tandem of Michael Steele and Waylon Barley along with the high flying Cali Kid! It will be interesting to see how well Stevie has come along in his training over the past few years as he teams with his legendary family.

Main Event
Matt Hardy vs. Paul Jordane
In what should be an exciting Main Event TNA’s Matt Hardy wrestles in Crestview for the first time against one of the best prospects to ever come out of the Gulf Coast in Panama City’s Paul Jordane. Hardy has been wrestling in the “big leagues” for almost two decades for the WWE and TNA while Jordane, a former WWE developmental talent, will more than likely someday be there. The massive, powerful Jordane will look to make some buzz against the popular and exciting Matt Hardy in this year’s Main Event. Can Jordane make folks in the big leagues (whether it be WWE, TNA, Ring of Honor, or even somewhere internationally) take notice with a win over the former ECW Champion?

SWA’s “WrestleMania of the Gulf Coast” takes place Saturday May 30th, 2015 from the Crestview National Guard Armory in Crestview, Florida. Tickets are $10 for people 12 years old and up, $8 for kids under 11, and kids under 4 are free.
