Commercial

Back from commercial as Kevin Kelly asks Jim Cornette about making the match between Kevin Steen and Eddie Edwards a title match. Cornette says that because Steen made a poor impression on a sponsor, this match will be for the title.

Steen addresses the people of West Virginia and tells Cornette to listen to what the fans are chanting. The crowd chants “Mr. Wrestling” for Steen. Steen says that is the name that Cornette told Bobby Cruise never to introduce him as. Steen says that the World Title proves that he is Mr. Wrestling.

Cornette asks Steen if he wants him to enter the ring.

Steen tells Cornette that he has a lot to tell him about. Steen says that the people disagree with Cornette that he is not Mr. Wrestling. The Ring of Honor World title also disagrees with Cornette. Steen says that he wants to tell Cornette about the great time he had with one of the sponsors last week at dinner.

Cornette wants Steen to know how much money he cost the company over his tricks.

Steen says that the sponsors overreacted when they called security.

Cornette says that Steen threatened the sponsor’s life.

Steen says that Cornette is wrong. Steen says he just told the guy that if he continued to poke him, he wouldn’t order off the menu, he would feast on his face.

Cornette says that if Steen was the World Champ, he would ruin the company because of the way the sponsors would react. Because he wants someone to beat Steen for the title, tonight’s match is for the World Title. If Edwards does not win tonight and if Richards does not win at Best in the World, every time Steen is in a singles match, it will be for the title and he doesn’t care who it is. Cornette says that sooner or later, Steen will lose the title before the affiliates meeting in September if its the last thing he does.

Steen says that sooner or later, they all will be dead. For Cornette, it will be sooner and Steen says it will be later for himself.

Steve Corino has joined Cornette and Kelly at the announce table for the main event.
