Mark shows off a doctor’s note, saying he has been cleared to compete tonight from the concussion he suffered. Mark says he was ready to go weeks ago, but now he has been officially cleared. Adam Cole, pretty boy, that title is coming back to the Briscoe house, so you better be ready for this whooping I’m gonna put on ya.

Commercial

Back from commercial, Michael Elgin makes his way to the ring. Elgin gets a mic and says there is nothing that means as much to me as the ROH World Title. There is nothing that means as much in wrestling as the ROH World Title. As #1 Contender, when I heard that the title was gonna be handed to me, I told Nigel there was a better way and Nigel put 16 of the best wrestlers in the world in a tournament for the right to call themselves ROH World Champion. That’s me and 15 other guys. So now, the 15 of you, look nice and deep in these eyes, know what I’m saying is the absolute truth. I don’t have to worry about you, you have to worry about me.

“Liar Liar, pants on fire, Mr. Elgin!” as we hear the voice of Kevin Steen, who makes his way out to ringside. Steen says that when Elgin says he isn’t worried about anyone else in the tournament, you are lying. Because the fact is that you are worried about the one guy you know you can’t beat and that just happens to be Kevin Steen. When I held the ROH World Title, people were saying “Oh, Elgin’s gonna be the one to beat Steen for it.” Then, we wrestled in Toronto and what happened? You couldn’t do it, I beat you. And now, most people are saying Michael Elgin’s gonna win this tournament. Well, I’m here to tell you and your mullet its not happening.

Elgin says that Steen is right, he beat me, but that was 10 months ago. And look what it took for you to beat me, a Package Piledriver off the top rope and I’m looking at you right now and I’m making you a promise, that won’t happen again. Steen says to try him.

We hear the voice of Michael Bennett as he & Maria make their way to the ring. Steen says “Hey everybody, its Maria…………and someone else!” Bennett says that Steen is so witty with his jokes. What a collection of talent. I’m sure all these people see pure talent in the ring. What I see? I see two guys who have been given opportunity after opportunity. I see two guys who have been given main event after main event. When I look at that ring, I see the past of Ring of Honor. While you two were given main event and opportunity, I was being told that Mike Bennett, not right now. Mike Bennett, just wait another week. Mike Bennett, you aren’t getting this opportunity because you’re leaving Ring of Honor. Well that’s true, I am leaving Ring of Honor, but Michael Bennett is staying.

We hear the familiar beeping and the music of the Sicilian Psychopath hits as Tommaso Ciampa makes his way to the ring. Ciampa goes nose-to-nose with Elgin, the same with Bennett, then piefaces him. Ciampa goes to nose-to-nose with Steen, then goes to the camera and says that your next Ring of Honor World Champion, the Sicilian Psychopath, TOMMASO CIAMPA!

Ciampa leaves while Nigel brings referees and security to get in-between Elgin, Steen & Bennett as we go to commercial.
