We see the usual intro, then Kevin Kelly welcomes us to the show. This week, we will see 1st Round Matches in the ROH World Title Tournament from ROH All-Star Extravaganza V back on August 3rd at the Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

We go to our opening match.

1st Round Ring of Honor World Title Tournament Match: “The Last Real Man in Pro Wrestling” Silas Young vs. “The Sicilian Psychopath” Tommaso Ciampa

This is a re-match from their match at Reclamation: Night 2 back in July in Dearborn, Michigan. Trash talk from these two in the beginning. They go to the outside off a lock-up. Referee finally breaks them up. Silas with right hands, Ciampa comes back with a roll-up for a nearfall. Shoulder tackle, followed by an elbow drop as Silas dropped down. Chain wrestling, but Silas hits a back suplex. Silas stomps away, Ciampa sent into the corner. Ciampa comes back with a boot for a nearfall. Ciampa pulls at the mustache of Silas. Running forearm, followed by a basement Blockbuster. More pulling of the mustache. Down comes the kneepad, but Silas with a clothesline. Running boot while Ciampa’s head was on the middle turnbuckle. Both block each other’s suplex attempts. Strike exchange on the apron, Ciampa with a knee. Silas suplexes Ciampa off the apron! Ref begins the 20 count. Both get back in at the count of 15. Headbutt exchange from their knees. More trash talk as they get to their feet. Silas misses a clothesline, Dragon Suplex by Ciampa for a nearfall. Kneepad comes down again, but Silas dropkicks the knee. Roll-up for a nearfall. Silas with the backbreaker/clothesline combo for a nearfall. Finlay Roll, but Ciampa kicks Silas as he was doing a headstand on the top rope. Ciampa lifts up Silas and goes up the ropes. Silas gets free, knocks Ciampa off. Ciampa catches Silas and slams him for a nearfall. Silas slips out of Project Ciampa, strike exchange. Rolling forearm and a spinning back elbow by Ciampa. Silas hot-shots Ciampa and hits a clothesline, but Ciampa pops right up and he & Silas go nose-to-nose.

Ciampa misses a clothesline, but catches Silas and this time hits Project Ciampa to advance in the tournament.

Winner and advancing to the quarter-finals in the Ring of Honor World Title Tournament: “The Sicilian Psychopath” Tommaso Ciampa by pinfall (Project Ciampa)

Afterward, Ciampa goes to adhere to the Code of Honor, but Silas refuses to shake his hand and walks off in disgust.

1st Round Ring of Honor World Title Tournament Match: Michael Bennett w/”The 1st Lady of ROH” Maria Kanellis vs. “The Buzzsaw” BJ Whitmer

This is the rubber match in a series of matches Bennett & Whitmer have had over the past few months. Whitmer won at Best in the World, while Bennett won at Reclamation: Night 1. Bennett goes to attack Whitmer before the bell, but Whitmer saw it coming. BJ hits the Exploder for a close nearfall. Bennett to the outside, BJ wipes him out with a tope suicida. Big chops by Whitmer, suplex on the outside! BJ breaks the ref’s count. Back in, BJ stomps away. Back elbow for a 1 count. Bennett comes back with a drop toe hold. Bennett to the outside, dropkick to Whitmer. Whitmer driven into the apron. Running Boot, Bennett breaks the ref’s count. Another running boot. Slam, then Maria gives Bennett a smooch. Back in, Bennett gets a nearfall. Running corner clothesline, BJ avoids a 2nd charge, Bennett crotched in the turnbuckles. BJ with a series of chops. Back suplex for a nearfall. Bennett comes back with a spinebuster for a nearfall. Knee drops to the back of Whitmer’s neck. Chinlock applied & Maria likes what she sees. Crowd wills on Whitmer. Bennett trash talks, BJ with a big right hand. Strike exchange. Whitmer avoids a clothesline, then he & Bennett clothesline each other, both are down. Maria takes her shoe off, throws the other to Bennett. Ref is with Maria, but Nigel spots it and has the ref eject Maria. Maria refuses to leave, so Nigel carries her to the back while smacking her tush. Bennett is in pursuit of Nigel, but BJ dives off the top, wiping out Bennett! Back in, Whitmer with clotheslines, snap slam for a nearfall. BJ fires up, running knee, followed by a snap suplex/Northern Lights combo for a nearfall. Bennett comes back with a jawbreaker, Photo Finish for a close nearfall. BJ comes back with the Spinning Fisherman/Fisherman combo for another close nearfall. They go to the apron, Bennett blocks the Exploder.

Bennett then does the infamous Piledriver to Whitmer on the apron. Ref stops the match, awards Bennett the win.

We see a video from back in May when Nigel McGuinness had to postpone the match between Michael Elgin & Paul London due to a concussion sustained by London at Border Wars.

Main Event in a 1st Round Ring of Honor World Title Tournament Match: “The Intrepid Traveler” Paul London vs. “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin

Elgin is no longer wearing a singlet, now wearing regular tights. Elgin wants a Test of Strength early. London hits a headscissors. Elgin shows off his power. Roll-up by London for a nearfall. Elgin blocks a rana. Elgin sent to the outside. Back in, London with a dropkick, Elgin with a BIG shoulder tackle. Jumping knee by London, dropkicks the knee. Basement dropkick by London for a nearfall. Elgin catches a London springboard crossbody. London slips out of the Oklahoma Stampede. Elgin counters a springboard with a powerslam for a nearfall. BIG chop by Elgin. Set your watches, folks. Delayed vertical for a minute for a nearfall. London comes back with a jawbreaker. Elgin with 2 backbreakers and a slam. Elgin heads up top, London avoids the corkscrew senton. Elgin catches a London charge with an STO. They go onto the apron. London blocks a back suplex. London to the 2nd rope, ranas Elgin to the outside! Back in, springboard dropkick by London. Spinning heel kick, Elgin blocks a Sunset flip. London avoids a butt drop, Elgin avoids a head kick, London with a standing moonsault for a nearfall. Elgin comes back with a pump kick. London counters a German, Victory Roll for a nearfall. Elgin with the Black Hole Slam for a nearfall. Deadlift German for a nearfall. London avoids the Buckle Bomb. London with a double stomp, appears to hurt his leg. Strike exchange, Elgin gains advantage. Discus forearm, London with an enziguri. Rolling elbow to the back of the head by Elgin. London comes back with a dropkick. Flip dive & a mushroom stomp wipes out Elgin. Back in, London gains a close nearfall. London heads up top, Elgin stops him. London with headbutts, Elgin blocks a Sunset Bomb. Elgin counters a springboard with a BIG dropkick, London to the outside. Elgin pulls him onto the apron, deadlift superplex for a CLOSE nearfall. Buckle Bomb, London counters the Elgin Bomb, Reverse Rana! London heads up top, London Calling for a VERY close nearfall. London & Elgin go back up top. Elgin counters a Super Rana with a Super Elgin Bomb!

Spinning Backfist, Buckle Bomb, Revolution Elgin Bomb advances Elgin in the tournament. What a match!
