This week, we will see 2 matches taped prior to the Best in the World PPV on June 22nd in Nashville, Tennessee and 2 matches from the Best in the World PPV itself. We start with the 2 matches prior to the PPV.

The Tate Twins (Brent & Brandon) vs. War Machine (Hanson & Rowe)

Crowd chants for War Machine before the bell. Code of Honor before the bell. Rowe with a series of amateur takedowns early, slamming down both Tate Twins. War Machine trade off on knees to the ribs on Brent, followed by Hanson hitting a Northern Lariat. Hanson places Brent across the top turnbuckle and hits a series of chest clubs. Series of knees to the ribs, followed by a side slam. Rowe in, but Brent hits an enziguri and tags in Brandon, but the enziguri had no effect on Rowe. Rowe with a Belly-to-Belly on Brandon. Hanson in and War Machine throw Brandon into the corner. Brandon tries to fight back, but Hanson hits the cartwheel into a clothesline. Rowe in and leaps onto Hanson, who powerbombs him across Brandon! Brent comes in, but Rowe nails him with a Belly-to-Belly.

Fallout by War Machine on Brandon for the win.

Winners: War Machine by pinfall (The Fallout)

Adam Page w/”The Buzzsaw” BJ Whitmer vs. The Romantic Touch

Page goes to adhere to the Code of Honor, but Whitmer yells at him not to. Whitmer attacks Touch as the bell sounds. Touch with a shoulder tackle and a hip swivel. More hip swiveling by Touch, then Touch with an amateur takedown and rides across Page’s back. Touch with a drop toe hold, then rolls him up for a nearfall. Touch goes up & over and hits the Snuggle Monkey Flip for a nearfall. Page hot-shots Touch across the top rope, then Page slingshots back in the ring and hits a clothesline for a nearfall. Page unloads with right hands from the mount. Page with a clothesline in the corner, then goes to the middle rope and hits a missile dropkick for a 1 count. Camel Clutch applied, but Touch gets out by driving Page into the corner. Page drives Touch into the corner, then goes for Turn the Page, but Touch gets free and hits a dropkick. Page runs into a back elbow, then double boots. Touch goes to the middle rope and hits a flying back elbow. Touch with a clothesline and a back body drop. Page with a headbutt, but Touch hits a spinning back suplex for a nearfall. Touch heads up top, but Whitmer distracts him, allowing Page to crotch Touch on the ropes.

Turn the Page by Page for the win.

Winner: Adam Page by pinfall (Turn the Page)

Page goes to hug Whitmer afterwards, but Whitmer instead has him do the Decade taunt to the camera.

From the Best in the World PPV in a Submission Match: “Mr. Ring of Honor” Roderick Strong w/Adam Page & TD Thomas vs. Cedric Alexander

No Code of Honor here also. Chain wrestling early. Strong with a knee to the ribs, Cedric with right hands. Cedric with a dropkick. Cedric with right hands from the mount. Strong slips out of a suplex, but runs into a back elbow. Strong then with a knee to the ribs and a double sledge. Big chop by Strong. Cedric fights back, but Strong stomps away at him in the corner. Cedric with a big right hand and a chop. Strong with a series of chops, but Cedric clotheslines him to the outside. Cedric with a head of steam and wipes out Strong with the Heat Seeking Missile! Cedric with right hands to Strong on the outside. Strong sent off the apron. Series of chops by Cedric, but then Strong BACKDROPS CEDRIC ON THE APRON!!! Strong taunts Cedric and brings him back in. Strong takes control on Cedric and taunts the crowd. Big chops in the corner by Strong, followed by a back suplex.

Back from commercial as the Decade tend to Strong, but then Cedric wipes them all out with a flip dive! Strong got out of the way, but Cedric with a big chop. Cedric then springs off the barricade with the 540 Kick! Back in, Cedric with a slingshot DDT into a front guillotine choke, shades of Jimmy Jacobs. Strong gets to the ropes. Strong comes back with an enziguri, but Cedric with a windmill kick. Cedric hits Concussion on Delivery in the corner. Another Concussion on Delivery, then a running forearm. Air Raid Crash into a Facebuster, then Cedric applies a Dragon Sleeper. Strong fights out with a series of knees to the head. Strong places Cedric up top and hits an enziguri. Big chops, then Strong goes up top with Cedric. Top Rope Superplex by Strong. Strong with a running knee and a running forearm in the corner. Cedric spits at him, so Strong with another running forearm. Strong goes for Death by Roderick, but Cedric counters it back into the front guilliotine choke, Strong gets to the ropes. Strong backdrops Cedric to the outside, then wipes him out with a flying knee off the apron! Back in, Strong with a backbreaker. Strong goes for the Strong Hold, but Cedric kicks him off. Strong with a boot to the head, then heads up top. Strong brings Cedric up top with him and goes for a Super Gibson Driver, but Cedric blocks it. Cedric then BACKBREAKERS STRONG ACROSS THE TURNBUCKLES!! LUMBAR CHECK!!!

Cedric locks in Strong’s own Strong Hold! STRONG TAPS!!!

Winner: Cedric Alexander by submission (Strong Hold)

Cedric extends his hand to Strong afterwards, but Strong walks away and to the back.

From the Best in the World PPV for the Ring of Honor Television Title, Truth Martini handcuffed to the ringpost: Matt Taven vs. Jay Lethal w/Truth Martini & Seleziya Sparx (c)

Taven is sporting new, shorter tights. Seleziya joined the House of Truth at the “Road to Best in the World” shows a couple weeks ago. Martini is relcutant about being handcuffed before the bell, but eventually does so. No Code of Honor here. Taven tries to go after Martini, but Lethal stops him. Taven with a series of chops early. Series of reversals, then Taven with a dropkick for a nearfall. Taven runs into an elbow, then Lethal stops him again from going after Martini. Taven avoids a 2nd rope crossbody, standing moonsault for a nearfall. Taven with an enziguri from the apron, then Seleziya distracts Taven, allowing Lethal to hit a dropkick, sending Taven to the outside.

Back from commercial as Seleziya stops Taven from getting to Martini, allowing Lethal to nail Taven with a baseball slide. Back in, Lethal gains a nearfall. Chinlock applied. Lethal with an elbow to the head, gains another nearfall. Chinlock re-applied, crowd wills on Taven. Taven fights out, then they exchange strikes, Taven with a savate kick to the ribs and a spin kick. Taven with 2 clotheslines and an enziguri. Draping suplex-style neckbreaker by Taven for a nearfall. Lethal counters the Climax, roll-up for a nearfall. Lethal hits the Lethal Combination. Lethal heads up top and hits Hail to the Champ, but Taven kicks out! Lethal calls for the Lethal Injection, but Taven blocks it. Taven with a back handspring into a roundhouse kick. Brainbuster by Taven for a nearfall. Lethal rolls outside and Taven goes after him. Lethal drives Taven into the barricade and heads back in. Lethal with a head of steam, but Taven catches him in mid-dive with another roundhouse! Taven then takes a page from Lethal’s playbook by doing a trifecta of tope suicidas, with the third one wiping out Seleziya as well! Taven points at Martini & grabs a chair. Taven goes over to Martini, but Martini gives money to the ROH Head of Security, J. Diesel, who stands in Taven’s way. Diesel blocks a chairshot and gets in Taven’s face. Diesel blocks a superkick and hits a big right hand! Taven then wipes him out with a superkick! Seleziya breaks the handcuffs and Martini heads to the back! Taven heads up top and goes for Air Taven, but Lethal gets the knees up!

LETHAL INJECTION! 1-2-3!

Winner and STILL Ring of Honor Television Champion: Jay Lethal by pinfall (Lethal Injection)

Lethal celebrates his title retention afterwards and nods to Diesel as he leaves.
