TNA’s The Beautiful People appeared on SKY Sports’ Soccer A.M. this morning. They were featured on a segment of the show called Soccerette. It’s a weekly skit were an attractive young lady comes on the show wearing the jersey of whichever team she supports, and tells us all about herself.
They briefly mentioned their tour of the UK and Ireland. The Beautiful People wore Leeds United Jerseys, for anybody who doesn’t know, about 10 years ago Leeds were a top side in England, but over recent years have dropped down divisions and have had serious financial woes, so I’m not sure why they picked Leeds. At the end of the Soccerette feature the Soccerette competes against one of the shows other guests at something she’s good at, i.e. a hobby of hers, something she does in her job, etc.
Needless to say The Beautiful People did some Wrasslin’. They put one of the Soccer A.M. crew into a double submission, a sort of Cobra Clutch/Walls Of Jericho. The other guest were no competition and Angelina and Velvet were awarded the win. The Beautiful People stayed in character the whole show, they were excellent heels, drawing great heat and (intentional) laughs. Proving to be more than just eye candy for the almost entirely male studio.
