Injury updates about several on the TNA roster

An update on several TNA stars courtesy of PWInsider:

– TNA World Champion Sting had his knees drained during TNA’s break from live events in December over the holiday break. As noted yesterday, he has had ongoing issues with his knees.

– Kevin Nash had his elbow laced yesterday following the bad staph infection he suffered. While TNA is stating Nash suffered the infection while overseas in Japan, the belief among many is that the infection may have been caused by some recent tattoo work Nash had done. He was in Charlotte and intended to wrestle on the PPV until he was taken to the hospital.

– Robert Roode was feared to have originally torn ligaments in his ankle after suffering an injury at the Genesis PPV, but that doesn’t appear to be the case right now.

– New TNA X Division Champion Alex Shelley, who competed at the Genesis PPV while feeling ill, reportedly has nagging issues with either his pectoral muscle or his neck following a match many months ago. Shelley was kept out of the ring at last night’s Impact TV taping. No word on if he will be wrestling at tonight’s second taping to air next Thursday.
