Prowrestling.net is reporting that Sheik Abdul Bashir (Shawn Daivari) leaving TNA was a result of the company asking him to take a pay cut after he originally agreed to a new six-figure per year deal this past summer. Daivari was told by TNA’s Terry Taylor that creative didn’t have any big plans for him and this is why they asked him to take the pay cut. He was said to be offended and instead opted for a release. While TNA sources claim he didn’t ask for his release, something went down where both sides agreed to part ways and they changed booking plans for the Final Resolution PPV so Daivari would get the “FIRED” briefcase.
