Angle on wrestlers today vs. in the 80s and 90s

During an appearance on the “Curtis Sliwa” radio show in New York this morning, TNA star Kurt Angle was asked about wrestling deaths over the last 10 years. Angle said wrestlers in the late 80s and early 90s abused themselves with drugs and alcohol. He added that in modern wrestling “95 to 97 percent don’t drink and drive” and instead play video games in their hotel rooms. Angle said drug testing is high in both companies and that a positive test gets you in trouble.
