7/20 TNA BaseBrawl Results from Aberdeen, MD

– Ripken Stadium hosted its first BaseBrawl. Before the show there was a 5:30 VIP meet and greet with some of the wrestlers. Jimmy Jay was promoting the $30 brown bag special that had 4 DVDs, An Impact Wrestling T-shirt, an action figure and a program. A purchase of the World Title for $375 had the opportunity to go backstage for a meet and greet. At 7:30 Christy Hemme came out as the ring announcer to get the crowd fired up.

1.) A.J Styles defeated TNA Tag Champion Kazarian with the Styles Clash. Before the match Kaz got on the mic telling the crowd he is the real Iron Man not that old washed up retired baseball player Cal Ripken and got heat from the fans.

2.) Gail Kim pinned Rosita with a hand full of tights.

3.) RVD defeated Robbie E. with the Five Star Frog Splash in a BFG Series Match to earn 7 pts.

4.) Jeff Hardy defeated Mr. Anderson with a Twist of Fate in a BFG Series Match to earn 7 pts. Before the match Anderson kept raising his hand waiting for the mic to fall but obviously the show was outside so Christy got on a chair and handed him the mic for Anderson to say usual “From Green Bay WI.. Mr. Anderson”. Some Kennedy chants were yelled out and Anderson was saying that guy died a long time ago, and that was from another show that airs on Monday Nights. After the match Hardy and Anderson shook hands.

– Intermission and a $50 meet and greet for “The Icon” Sting!

5.) Sting defeated Bobby Roode with the Scorpion Death Drop. Roode stalled a lot before the match and fans kept chanting Austin Aries! Roode got on the mic saying that Aries is a fluke and he would win back the World Title at Hardcore Justice.

6.) TNA World Champion Austin Aries defeated Bully Ray via submission with the Horns of Aries.

– After the show there was pictures in the concourse with Aries for $20! It was a great show and for 6 matches it was well worth it with all the special deals and meet and greets. It was cool to see a triple main event with Hardy vs Anderson, Sting vs Roode and Aries vs Bully Ray and the card as advertised all happened with not one match being changed up. Ripken Stadium had about 800-1000 people in attendance.
