A spokesperson for Billy Corgan, lead singer of the Smashing Pumpkins, declined to comment to Josh Stewart of Newsday.com on Monday regarding rumors over the weekend that Corgan was in Nashville recently at the TNA offices about the possibility of purchasing a majority or stake in the company.
The spokesperson added, "There is no reason to comment on rumors. Billy is completely focused on Resistance Pro's upcoming 2nd anniversary [show on Nov. 23]."
