Trial date set for TNA-Scott Steiner lawsuit

The TNA vs. Scott Steiner lawsuit filed in 2012 that was set to go to trial last November and was pushed back at the last moment is now scheduled to go to trial beginning on June 5 according to a new report. The trial will run for four days in Nashville, Tennessee.

TNA filed a lawsuit against Steiner back in June 2012 on the claim of breaching his contract, which at that point had been expired, by making disparaging remarks about TNA, Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and Bruce Prichard online. Since then, Steiner has responded by denying that he ever agreed to not disparage the company, ignored requests to stop speaking out, was in a legal and binding agreement with TNA and that TNA suffered damages as a result of his remarks. Steiner also stated that when his contract expired with TNA, he decided to turn down a new contract offer.
