Taz removes references to TNA, his future with the company

Taz, who has been part of the TNA commentary team since 2009, did not travel to the TNA Headquarters in Nashville this week to do planned voiceovers for several episodes of Impact Wrestling including the show to air this Friday night on Destination America.

According to multiple wrestling media reports on Tuesday, Josh Mathews handled the commentary by himself and Taz’s future with the company is unclear at this time. He has since removed any references to TNA off his official Twitter account today.

A report had made the rounds over the weekend that TNA has been late in paying several talents. Matt Hardy took to Twitter on Monday night tweeting a photo of checks he received from TNA saying he has never had an issue. The late pay reportedly played a role in Taz not coming to Nashville for production work this week. Taz has not made any official comments about these reports or his TNA status as of Tuesday evening.
