TNA lawsuit against Scott Steiner dismissed

TNA Wrestling’s lawsuit against Scott Steiner was officially dismissed by the Chancery Court in Nashville last week on 2/22 according to a report by PWInsider.

The Judge ruling prevents TNA from re-opening the civil case in the future. TNA filed a lawsuit against Steiner back in 2012 claiming he breached his expired contract by making “disparaging remarks” about the company, TNA, Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, Bruce Prichard and others. TNA sought damages and an injunction to prevent Steiner from speaking out.

Steiner’s response was that his contract with TNA had already expired and although the company did offer a new deal, he turned it down and never accepted the deal. He denied that he ever agreed to never disparage the company when opting out of a new deal. The continuation of the lawsuit by TNA confused many considering that Hogan, Bischoff and Prichard had departed the company for well over two years now.
