Arena for TNA’s Bound For Glory PPV

For those wondering, here is what the Bren Events Center looks like when a wrestling ring is setup:

This was for WCW Monday Nitro in 2000.

TNA Bound For Glory 2009 will be taking place at this arena in Irvine, California on October 18. The arena covers 22,000 square feet with comfortable seating for 5,697, so it’s definitely a smaller scaled arena for TNA’s “WrestleMania” type show. Slammiversary this year was at the Palace of Auburn Hills, the biggest arena they’ve been to in the United States, and that holds about 23,000 people. Last year’s Bound For Glory IV, was at the Sears Center in Illinois, which carries around 11,800 people. Atlanta, Georgia’s Gwinnett Center for Bound For Glory in 2007 carries about 13,100 people. So each year, the maximum attendance capacity has been dwindling for their “biggest pay-per-view of the year” Bound For Glory.
