Impact from the M-I-Crooked Letter-Crooked Letter (Big K.R.I.T./David Banner fans will understand that one) kicks off with highlights from last week and then Hulk Hogan makes his way down to the ring to a hero’s welcome from the fans. I can’t say I’m too impressed with Hogan’s choice of footwear, really Hulk New Balance? Hogan panders to the crowd and then talks about how shocked he was that AJ walked away from Sting & Angle. He says that when AJ walked away Angle took the fight to him anyway. Hogan says he doesn’t care if AJ joins Aces & Eights because Kurt Angle is going to keep chasing him… right to Slammiversary! He says at Slammiversary it will be AJ vs. Angle at Slammiversary. Hogan then mentions the World Title Contract Signing for tonight and says that he’s not ashamed to say that TNA has been under the microscope as of late, and last week Abyss came and saved the day for TNA last week. Hogan says he wants to call Abyss out right now and shake his hand.

Abyss’ music hits but the Monster is nowhere to be found. Hogan again asks Abyss to come out but again Abyss doesn’t show. Instead Joseph Park walks out and Hogan doesn’t seem to be pleased. Park says he sat at home last week and watched in shock as his brother returned, and he couldn’t believe that he returned after all this time he has been looking for him. He says he was at home because he was resting after the attack from Aces & Eights on him. Park says he couldn’t believe that Abyss was there last week but Hulk says he’s not playing around right now because they need Abyss now more than ever. Before Hogan can say anything else Aces & Eights members D-Lo Brown & Devon interrupt them.

Devon says they’re not coming after Hogan tonight because they want the same thing. They want Abyss because he stuck his nose in club business last week. Abyss says that pin wasn’t even legal last week because he wasn’t even the legal man in the match last week (true, he never tagged into the match technically). Devon says Hogan needs to get him out to the ring right now because when he walks through the tunnel he’ll take a chunk out of Abyss’ ass. Park asks Devon who the hell he thinks he is talking to Hogan like that. Devon tells Park to back out of his face but Park says if it wasn’t for Aces & Eights he never would have to do look for his brother to begin with. Park says that they’re really starting to piss him off! He says that he’s had it with Aces & Eights so they can fight right now! Park takes his jacket off and Devon laughs and then mocks him. Devon says he’s the TV Champion and then asks who the hell Park ever beat and says he doesn’t make matches either. Devon says he hasn’t even proven himself yet but D-Lo stops him from saying anything else and asks Devon to let him kick Park’s ass tonight.

Hogan tells D-Lo to be careful what he wishes for because that match is going to happen tonight! Devon says that’s fine because he has all the belief in the world that D-Lo will take care of Park. Devon tells Hogan & Park to tell Abyss that when he finds him he will take a chunk out of his ass. Hogan says he’ll make things easy because after Park beats D-Lo tonight he’ll give Park the greenlight to beat Devon’s ass anytime he wants. Hogan says Devon is going to have both Park brothers “on his ass” so he can testify to that….BROTHER!

In the back James Storm looks pissed about what happened last week but refuses to answer any questions. Finally he tells the camera to watch what happens next.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Christian York puts over Gut Check and says he’s learned a lot since winning and that’s what’s so great about this business because you never stop learning. He says that getting into the BFG Series could completely turn your career around because you have a chance to get a shot at the World Title which is why he got into the business. York says all of his hard work over the last 16 years has all been to try and become a World Champion.

“The IT Factor” Bobby Roode vs. TNA Tag Team Champion “Mexican Warrior” Chavo Guerrero Jr.

I think this is a first time matchup here (singles wise). Roode and Chavo lockup and Roode gets Chavo in a hammerlock and then he goes for an Abdominal Stretch, but Chavo counters with a Hip Toss. They lockup again and this time Roode gets Chavo in a side headlock, but Chavo shoves him into the ropes only to eat a shoulder block. Roode hits the ropes but Chavo catches him with another Hip Toss followed by a Drop Toe Hold. Chavo floats over into a side headlock but Roode fights up to his feet and tosses Chavo into the corner. Chavo floats up and into a spinning head scissors that sends Roode out to the floor. Chavo follows up with an attempt at a Plancha but Roode sees it coming and gets out of the way. Chavo is able to react and catch himself on the apron. Roode then grabs Chavo’s leg and yanks him off the apron slamming his face into the side of the ring. Roode puts the boots to Chavo and then whips him into the guardrail. Roode rolls back into the ring to break the 10-count and then elbows Chavo in the back of the head before tossing him into the ring. Roode hits a Scoop Slam and then follows up with a Knee Drop. 1…2…NO Chavo kicks out and then Roode chokes him in the ropes. Roode pokes Chavo in the eyes and then Snapmares him over following up with the Rolling Neck Snap. Roode taunts the crowd which elicits a “you suck” chant. Roode connects with a right hand and Chavo answers with a right of his own. They exchange strikes until Roode knees Chavo in the gut and then whips him into the ropes. Roode goes for a backdrop but Chavo stops and kicks Roode in the head. Chavo then bounces off the ropes and charges at Roode only to get backdropped over the top. Chavo lands on the apron and then nails Roode with a shoulder block through the ropes followed by the Slingshot Somersault Senton. Chavo then hits a Spinning Headscissors Takeover followed by an attempt at a Monkey Flip. Roode blocks it and sits Chavo up on the top rope. Chavo slaps Roode and then goes for a Tornado DDT but Roode blocks it. Chavo kicks Roode and hits the Three Amigos! Chavo then climbs up top for the Frog Splash but Roode gets up and hits the ropes causing Chavo to fall off the top down to the floor. James Storm walks out and spits beer in Roode’s face causing a DQ!

Winner: Roode via DQ

Storm looks to hit Roode with the beer bottle but Roode is able to escape by sliding out of the ring. Storm stares his former partner out before leaving.

In the back Kurt Angle is preparing for something and Tenay says that Angle told him he would call AJ out tonight.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

A video package highlighting all of the recent AJ Styles drama is shown.

Kurt Angle heads out to the ring and says this Aces & Eights thing has been going on for about a year now and it’s gotten to the point where you can’t trust anyone in the locker room anymore. Kurt says even AJ Styles walked on TNA but Kurt doesn’t back down from a fight. He says that when AJ walked away he took the fight to AJ and all he did was piss the Olympian off. Kurt says that Hogan has signed the match between he and AJ one more time. He says he doesn’t want to wait until Slammiversary to kick AJ’s ass because he wants to do it right now! Kurt tells AJ to bring it on!

Instead of AJ coming out Aces & Eights member Mr. Anderson struts down to the ring instead. Anderson says Kurt sounds just like a woman and he needs to get it through his thick skull that AJ isn’t his boy anymore. Anderson elicits some cheap heat by calling the fans idiots and then says that he’s happy to announce that next week in Tampa everyone will witness the patching in of AJ Styles! Anderson dares Kurt to show up because he’ll get destroyed if he does.

Kurt says he doesn’t want to wait until next week to fight and then punches Anderson in the head! Kurt beats the hell out of Anderson and then AJ Styles shows up out of nowhere and jumps in the ring. Kurt screams that AJ was going to jump him from behind but AJ shakes his head and then nails Kurt with an Enziguri! Anderson applauds AJ as AJ leaves Angle laid out in the ring.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

A vignette hyping up Jay Bradley is shown now. Bradley talks about working in OVW since signing with TNA and getting better. He says he’s been watching video constantly and he lives and breathes pro wrestling right now. He says with the Boom Stick (his Lariat) he can win a match at any time so he always has a chance. Bradley says that he’s not just here to have his name on a website, he’s here to make an Impact and be THE guy in TNA. Bradley says that his time is coming.

Gut Check BFG Contenders Tournament
Christian York vs. Jay Bradley

Bradley locks up with York and immediately powers him into the corner. Bradley then shoves York and goes for another tieup but York ducks him and rolls him up. Bradley escapes the pin but York puts him in a wristlock and then slams his elbow across York’s own shoulder. York puts Bradley in an armbar but then Bradley shoves him off and nails York with a huge right hand! York answers with one of his own and then hits the ropes but Bradley lifts him high in the air with a Press Slam! Bradley follows up with a Big Boot and then he taunts the crowd before getting a nearfall. Bradley beats on York on the mat and then brings his elbow down across York’s face repeatedly. York tries to fight back again but Bradley cuts him off with a knee. Bradley puts York in a chinlock but York breaks the hold with an armdrag. York then ducks the Boom Stick and hits a Springboard Back Elbow! York picks Bradley up but Bradley counters him with a Scoop Slam! Bradley then goes for the Boom Stick again but York sidesteps it and Bradley tells York his was an inch away from getting knocked out. York answers by nailing the taller Bradley with a Leaping Enziguri! York chops Bradley and then attempts to whip him into the corner but Bradley reverses it and charges at York. York floats up and into a Spinning Headscissors that sends Bradley into the corner! York then hits the Dreamscape! York then goes for the Mood Swing but Bradley blocks it and York tells Bradley HE was just that close. Bradley swings another big right hand at York and they again trade shots. York gets the better of the bigger Bradley and then attempts to whip him into the ropes, but Bradley reverses it and again goes for the Boom Stick! York ducks it and slides through Bradley’s legs before hitting a Spinning Back Kick. York hits a Front Kick and then goes for a Monkey Flip but Bradley blocks it and places York on the top rope. Bradley swings at York but he blocks the shot and then connects with a right of his own. York then attempts a Flying Knee off the top but Bradley avoids it and connects with the Boom Stick! 1…2…3!

Winner: Bradley via pinfall (Boom Stick)

Christy Hemme interviews Jay Bradley on the ramp and he says that he’s one step closer to the BFG Series and that means he’s one step closer to being the next World Champion.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

James Storm is shown leaving Hulk Hogan’s office and he says that Hulk told him that his actions have repercussions and sarcastically asks if other people’s actions have repercussions because it seems like people can jump on him but he can’t retaliate. Hervey asks Storm what’s next and Storm just tells him to keep watching.

In another part of the Batcave, Mr. Anderson tells the rest of Aces & Eights that there isn’t any question where AJ’s loyalties lie now. He says he can’t wait to patch him in next week and then turns his attention to D-Lo. Anderson asks D-Lo if he knows what he has to do tonight. D-Lo says he is going to kick Park’s ass and earn his cut back.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Brooke Hogan talks to Mickie James about her album backstage and Mickie says she appreciates the love, but she would have appreciated getting some love at Slammiversary more. Brooke says she understands that and she knows how bad she wants to be at the top in the Knockouts again. She says she’ll give Mickie a shot at the KO Title next week. Bully Ray then walks up and mocks them.

Bully corners Brooke and tells her to tell “dad” that tonight’s contract signing won’t be so much a contract signing rather a “negotiation.” Brooke says he needs to negotiate a divorce but Bully says he will never, ever divorce her and then shows the ring and says “till’ death do us part.”

Non-Title Match
Gail Kim vs. TNA Knockouts Champion Velvet Sky

Replays of Gail Kim’s recent mean streak is shown of her injuring Terrell & Tara over the last few weeks. Gail kicks at Velvet’s leg but Velvet sidesteps her and then trips Gail and follows up with a series of armdrags. Velvet then hits a Snap Suplex and connects with a series of forearms. Velvet attempts to whip Gail into the ropes but she reverses it and goes for a backdrop. Velvet stops and kicks Gail and then connects with a Running Bulldog! Velvet beats Gail down in the corner and then hits a Spinning Headscissors Takeover! Gail follows up with a clothesline and then attempts to whip Gail into the corner. Gail reverses it and charges at Velvet, but Velvet catches Gail in a headscissors and then attempts to kick her while still holding her in the headscissors. Gail blocks the kick and then brings that previously injured knee down across her shoulder in a modified Kneebreaker! Velvet immediately drops down and sells the knee. Gail kicks the knee repeatedly and then elbow drops it and puts her in a Kneelock as a “Let’s go Velvet” chant starts. Gail drags Velvet’s leg to the ring apron and slams it across the apron. Gail then grabs Velvet’s leg and slams it to the mat. Gail tosses Velvet into the corner and twists Velvet’s injured leg in the ropes and then hangs it up in the ropes and cannonballs down across it! Gail stomps the knee repeatedly again and then picks her up and hangs the leg up in the ropes and drops down to the floor bringing Velvet’s knee down across the ropes. Gail then puts Velvet in a Texas Cloverleaf, shout out Dean Malenko! Velvet fights the hold and drags herself to the ropes to break the hold. Gail then puts Velvet in an Over the shoulder Half Crab! Gail is going to school on that knee. Velvet is able to get to the ropes again to break the hold. Gail taunts Velvet and then shoves her into the corner and chokes her with her boot. Gail attempts to whip Velvet into the opposite corner but Velvet reverses it and charges at Gail only to eat a boot. Gail climbs up top but Velvet is able to catch her with several Forearms. Velvet then tosses Gail off the top but again sells the injured knee. Velvet gets back to her feet and hits a series of clotheslines followed by a Roundhouse Kick. Velvet then looks to be setting up for something else but her knee seems to give out on her and she drops down to the mat and screams in pain. Velvet gets back up and goes for the In Yo Face but Gail sweeps the injured leg and goes for a Figure Four, but Velvet uses the good leg to kick her into the corner and then she rolls her up! 1…2…3!

Winner: Velvet via pinfall (rollup)

Gail kicks Velvet’s knee again after the match and then drags her to the corner and wraps her knee around the ring post in the Figure Four! ODB pulls Gail off and Velvet again sells the knee injury.

Chris Sabin hypes up the match tonight and says King isn’t the “King” of the X-Division, the only thing he may be “king” of is male wrestlers. He says that King certainly isn’t the best wrestler because that’s Sabin. King says Sabin isn’t the king of anything and holds up the X-Division Title and says that means HE is the king of the X-Division. King asks if he needs a crown and says he wears his crown on his shoulder (the belt). He says he’s royalty in TNA and Petey Williams says King is a coward. He says he’s a smart champion but he thinks he has just the thing to outsmart King.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Another video hyping up Suicide’s return is shown, he returns next week.

TNA X-Division Championship
Kenny King (c) vs. “Maple Leaf Muscle” Petey Williams vs. Chris Sabin

They don’t do regular entrances for this one but they do boxing style intros. The X-Cam was actually neat for the intros. King decides to bail out of the ring as the challengers surround him. Petey and Sabin lockup as memories of many classic matches between the two jump up in my mind (the 3-Way Ultimate X with AJ definitely jumps out). Petey gets Sabin in a side headlock but Sabin counters into a hammerlock and then he does some nice chain wrestling before catching Petey with an armdrag. Sabin shows off some more chain wrestling before hitting another armdrag, very Lucha-style sequence there. Sabin actually held onto Petey’s arm as they hit the mat and then pulls Petey up only to armdrag him again. Sabin then charges at Petey but he sidesteps Sabin and drop toe holds him into the ropes. Petey sets up for something but King trips him and drags him out to the floor. King slams him into the guardrail and then climbs in with Sabin and goes for a front kick. Sabin catches his boot and sweeps the other leg. Sabin then lights Kenny up with chops before attempting a whip. King reverses it and goes for a backdrop but Sabin kicks him. Sabin then hits the ropes but eats a back elbow from King. King hits the ropes and Sabin follows him and attempts a Lariat, but King ducks it hits the ropes again with Sabin again giving chase but this time King was ready and nails Sabin with a Cartwheel Kick! Another great sequence there. Petey climbs up on the apron and catches King with a shoulder block through the ropes followed by a Slingshot Codebreaker! Petey follows up with a Hesitation Dropkick to the back of Sabin for a nearfall. Sabin rolls out of the ring and Petey goes to drag him back in but King hits him from behind. King chokes Petey in the ropes and then slams him to the mat. King taunts the crowd and covers Petey for a nearfall. King mounts Petey in the corner and reigns down right hands. Sabin tries to get involved again but King knocks him off the apron with a sliding dropkick. King whips Petey into the opposite corner and then follows up with a Scoop Slam and a Springboard Guillotine Leg Drop. 1…2…NO Petey kicks out! King puts Petey in an Abdominal Stretch but Petey fights it off before King cuts him off again. King shows off his athleticism by Bulldogging Petey onto the top rope while leaping over the top to the floor and landing on his feet. King attempts a springboard move but Petey ducks it and then King runs into a clothesline from Sabin. Sabin hits a Running Back Elbow followed by a Flying Forearm. Sabin then hits a Back Suplex and then he hooks King’s leg and flips over into a bridging pin! 1…2…NO King kicks out! Petey picks Sabin up but Sabin shoves his hands away and chops Petey. Sabin charges at Petey but he backdrops Sabin over the top. Sabin lands on the apron but eats a forearm smash from Petey! Petey then hits a Suicide Dive through the ropes onto Sabin on the floor! Williams rolls back into the ring and nails King with the Canadian Leg Sweep followed by a Crucifix Rollup! 1…2…NO King kicks out but King immediately follows up with a Cradle Flatliner! 1…2…NO King kicks out again! Petey calls for the Destroyer but Sabin runs in and nails Petey with the Lariat! Sabin then attempts to whip King into the corner, but King reverses it and charges at Chris. Sabin catches King with a back elbow and then climbs up top and attempts the Tornado DDT, but King blocks it and follows up with a Leaping Enziguri! Williams charges but runs right into a Spinning Heel Kick! 1…2…NO Petey kicks out! King whips Petey into the corner and charges at him but Petey nails him with an elbow. Petey climbs up top and dives off but King catches him in midair and hits a Spinning Backbreaker! 1…2…NO Petey kicks out again! King goes for the Royal Flush but Sabin pulls Petey off and nails King with a Spinning Back Kick. Sabin kicks King and then follows up with an Enziguri! Sabin hangs King upside down in the corner in the Tree of Woe! Petey then sneaks up behind Sabin and attempts the Canadian Destroyer, but Sabin blocks it and clotheslines Petey. Sabin then Cradle Shocks Petey into the hanging King in the corner! DAMN! Sabin hits a Powerbomb on Petey followed by a Sliding Dropkick! Sabin picks Petey back up but King comes flying in with a Flying Knee that sends Sabin crashing to the floor! King hits the Royal Flush on Petey! 1…2…3!

Winner & STILL X-Division Champ: King via pinfall (Royal Flush)

Bad Influence talk about Storm gunning for them and Daniels says he’s a jerk because he’s that screwed them out of a title shot. Daniels says he needs Kaz with him tonight and Kaz says he’s “Super Kaz” so he can handle “Super Mex.”

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Mr. Anderson talks to D-Lo backstage and Anderson says he didn’t save D-Lo from Bully last week for him, he saved him for the club. Anderson says things have been spiraling out of control because of D-Lo. D-Lo says he messed up and he’s going to fix it. Anderson says he’s pulling for him and walks away.

“Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels w/Kazarian vs. TNA Tag Team Champion “Super Mex” Hernandez

Mex locks up with Daniels and then powers him into the corner but breaks clean only to eat a cheap shot from Daniels. Daniels puts the boot to Mex and then chokes him and pokes his eyes. Daniels goes for a Scoop Slam but Mex is having none of that and lifts Daniels up in the air for the Suspended Vertical Suplex. Hernandez follows up with an Over the Shoulder Backbreaker. Hernandez then climbs on the ramp and dives over the top with the Super Mex Dive! That dude is freaky athletic! Hernandez then sets up for something else but Kaz trips him as Daniels distracted the referee. Daniels hits a Sliding Lariat to the back of Hernandez and then puts the boots to him. Daniels follows up with a Reverse Bulldog for a nearfall. Daniels pokes Mex’s eyes and then tosses him out to the floor where Kaz puts the boots to him while Daniels distracts the referee again. Daniels eats a shoulder block through the ropes from Hernandez and then he follows up with a Slingshot Shoulder Block! Hernandez hits a series of shoulder blocks and clotheslines and then Hip Tosses Daniels across the ring. Hernandez goes for a Splash in the corner but Daniels ducks it and then sets up for the Angels Wings! Storm is shown walking down the ramp which distracts Daniels. Hernandez nails Daniels with the Get Off Me! 1…2…3!

Winner: Hernandez via pinfall (Get Off Me)

After the match Storm says he just talked to Hulk Hogan and he told Storm that there were repercussions for his earlier actions. Hogan told Storm to make the following announcement: at Slammiversary it will be Chavo & Hernandez defending the Tag Titles against Aries & Roode… and Bad Influence… AND Storm and a partner of his choice! Storm tells them…”Sorry ‘bout yo damn luck!” Daniels & Kazarian freak the hell out at ringside and Hernandez doesn’t look too thrilled either.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Main Event
D-Lo Brown vs. Joseph Park

A big “Joseph” chant starts as the match begins. D-Lo knees Park in the gut and hits him across the back before nailing him with a Forearm Smash. D-Lo follows up with another forearm and then a Scoop Slam showing off some power. D-Lo then goes for a clothesline but Park ducks and hits a series of rights and lefts! Park hits the ropes but D-Lo knocks him through the ropes and continues to beat on him on the floor. D-Lo slams him into the apron and then tosses him back into the ring. D-Lo eats a series of strikes from Park again. Park hits the ropes but D-Lo dropkicks his leg and then connects with a Shining Wizard! First time I’ve seen a Shining Wizard in awhile and first time I’ve ever seen D-Lo hit it I think. D-Lo follows up with a Sliding Lariat to a seated Park. D-Lo whips Park into the corner and then goes for a Splash, but Park sidesteps him and rolls him up! 1…2…NO D-Lo kicks out and then hits a Back Heel Kick that sends Park crashing into the corner. D-Lo hits a Corner Clothesline and then he stomps on Park in the corner. D-Lo continues to beat on Park and busts him open above the eye. I don’t know if Park got busted open the hard way but it sure looked like it. Park sees the blood and losses his damn mind! Abyss mode just clicked on! Park clotheslines D-Lo and then hits a Splash followed by a Black Hole Slam! 1…2…3!

Winner: Park via pinfall (Black Hole Slam)

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

The announcers hype up Slammiversary and I think they may have just spoiled next week’s show because they announced Suicide vs. King vs. Sabin for the belt at Slammiversary and I’m pretty sure Suicide’s contenders match is next week. Well that is a face palm moment if I ever saw one. They also announce the Tag Title Match will be elimination rules.

Jeremy Borash introduces Bully Ray and then Ray shoves the hell out of him and kicks him out of the ring. He literally just rag dolled JB. Ray reminds us who he is and that he’s the guy that defeated Jeff Hardy and took him out. He also says he’s the guy that will take Sting out at Slammiversary. Ray says this is going to be more of a negotiation more so than a contract signing and he’s sure Sting has some stipulations himself. Ray calls Sting out and the #1 Contender doesn’t make him wait long.

Before Sting can get in the ring Ray tells him to stop right there and not to take one more step. Ray says he wants this to be official so Hulk Hogan needs to come out so he can hear this. Hogan obliges the champ and walks out onto the stage. Sting gets in the ring and Ray says he just realized this is the first time they’ve been in the ring together since he screwed Sting over. Ray says everyone knows how bad he was screwing Hogan’s daughter over. Ray sarcastically says Sting wants an apology but he isn’t getting one.

Sting says he doesn’t care about Ray’s apology and when they get to Boston Ray better snap Sting’s arm in half, take his knee cap out, and even rip his throat out and Ray asks him what the hell is wrong with him. Sting says because if Ray doesn’t do it to Sting then he’s going to do it to Ray! Sting says he doesn’t care if it’s in the ring or out of the ring or in the rafters or in the crowd he’s going to make Ray bleed in Boston! Sting gets in Ray’s face and he says he didn’t really have any demands before but since he’s asking he wants a No Holds Barred Match! Ray says Sting probably thinks he has Ray where he wants him and he bets all the fans would love to see him bleed at Sting’s hands. Ray says he’s got the No Holds Barred Match… on one condition. Sting has to agree

Hogan tries to interrupt but Ray tells him to shut his mouth. Ray says he’s not telling Sting he has to retire because he wants Sting to have wrestle for the rest of his career knowing that he can never get the World Title again. Hogan tells Sting he doesn’t have to do this because Hogan is running this thing not Ray. Ray says Hogan is making decisions for Sting yet again like always and he tells Sting to “man up.” Sting agrees and Ray shoves him.

Sting & Ray start trading blows with each other as the show comes to an end.
