Impact opens up with a video package highlighting the upcoming Tag Team Tournament. 8 teams face off in tag team matches. The winning teams then meet in the finals, an Ultimate X Match! Josh Matthews is being forced to go it solo this week as he claims Taz is “on special assignment” but as we all know by now Taz has been officially released from his contract with TNA.

The Hardys vs. The Revolution (James Storm & Khoya)

The Hardyz quest to finally add the TNA Tag Team Titles to their long resume of gold begins right here, and standing in their way is possibly the greatest tag team wrestler in TNA history in “Cowboy” James Storm. The Revolution attacks the Hardyz as they come to the ring. Jeff hits a Leaping Mule Kick to Storm sending him to the floor and then connects with a Slingshot Dropkick through the ropes sending Storm into the guardrail. The Hardyz whip Khoya into the corner and then Jeff dives off of Matt’s back with Poetry in Motion! Khoya rolls to the floor and then Jeff dives off the apron with a Plancha onto Storm as Matt goes for a Plancha of his own on Khoya, but Khoya catches Matt in midair and drops him hard across the ring steps! Storm slams Matt into the guardrail and then grabs a replica title belt from afan and hits Matt with it as the referee was distracted by Jeff Hardy! Storm rolls Matt back in the ring and begins beating him down in the heel corner even raking his eyes. Khoya tags in and continues the beat down of Matthew in the heel corner with repeated shoulder blocks. Storm tags right back in connects with a series of knees on Matt followed by a Snapmare Takeover. Storm puts Matt in a chinlock and then as Matt fights back to his feet Storm attempts to whip him into the ropes. Matt reverses it into a whip of his own but Storm comes right back with a reversal into Closing Time! Khoya then clotheslines Matt after a blind tag and pins Matt with a nearfall. Khoya slams Matt into the top turnbuckle and then pulls him into a Shortarm Clothesline. Storm tags in and taunts Jeff as he punches his brother repeatedly. Storm hits the ropes and attempts a clothesline but Matt counters into a Side Effect! Jeff tags in and connects with a series of elbow and clotheslines on Storm. Jeff hits a Running Forearm followed by an Atomic Drop and then a Sliding Dropkick! Jeff knocks Khoya off the apron but walks into a knee to the gut from Storm. Khoya tags in and The Revolution whip Jeff into the ropes and attempt a double back drop, but Jeff stops an dkicks them both. Jeff attempts a Twist of Fate on Storm but he shoves Jeff into Khoya. Jeff kicks Khoya and attempts a Twist of Fate on him as well but Khoya blocks it and shoves Jeff into a Last Call attempt from Storm. Jeff ducks the Last Call and Storm nails Khoya! Matt hits the Twist of Fate on Storm and then Jeff dives off the top with the Swanton on Khoya for the pin!

Winners: The Hardys via pinfall (Swanton Bomb)

After the match Storm slaps Khoya and screams at him for the loss.

JB interviews The Hardys at ringside. Jeff says it has been over 8 years since he and Matt have been Tag Team Champions. Matt says that changes tonight and they will fulfill their destiny and become the TNA Tag Team Champions for the first time.

In the back EY says that he wants his title shot and he wants it now. He says that he deserves his title shot and Angle will find out like Lashley did what happens when  you mess with him.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

EY comes down to the ring wearing a Kurt Angle t-shirt. EY says that he is not a person that is to be messed with, and he has been telling everyone that he is not happy. He says that Kurt Angle is ducking him and he doesn’t care what he has to do or who he has to hurt to get his shot at the World Title. He says that he is the number one contender and everyone saw what he did to Lashley last week. He says Lashley is out of the picture and he wants Angle one-on-one because it is his turn.

Kurt Angle walks out wearing a big knee brace on his left knee. Angle says that EY has been calling him out day after day everywhere from instagram to Twitter, but the only thing he should be doing is talking to him face to face. EY says Angle is holding something that belongs to him and that Angle can be beaten and hurt by him. Angle says what he sees is a man that is obsessed with the World Title and has turned into a “freaking lunatic.” Angle says EY will get his title shot next week and he knows that EY is crazy but EY let his craziness turn him into a dark individual. Angle tells EY to think about what he accomplished when he was a good person but EY says that his title was taken from him and he wants it back. Angle says that he will get his title shot fair and square but he wants the old Eric Young to face him next week and have a straight up match. He says that EY can fight him fair and square or he can be a coward and attack him from behind as Angle turns his back to EY. EY gets in Angle’s face and says that he will see him next week.

In the back Kenny King and Low-Ki corner Rockstar Spud and they say that Spud is simply keeping the X-Division Title warm for one of them. Mr. Anderson then approaches and has Spud’s back. Anderson says that King and Ki are real tough when they have other people doing their dirty work. Ki is mean mugging Anderson and Anderson asks King if he always looks like that. Anderson smiles and says he knows why he is mad, it is because Spud has beaten them both which pisses Ki off. Ki gets in Anderson’s face but King pulls him away.

TNA Tag Team Titles Tournament Semifinals
The BDC (Low-Ki & Kenny King) vs. Mr. Anderson & Rockstar Spud

The BDC attacks Spud as Anderson was doing his usual entrance. Ki lights Spud up with some vicious kicks and chops while King talks trash to him. King tags into the match and lays into Spud with some chops of his own. King almost lets Spud get to his corner but then punt kicks him in the ribs before shoving Anderson. Ki and King then double team Spud in their corner as the referee tries to keep Anderson out of the ring. Ki tags in and hits a snapmare on Spud followed by a round kick to the back. Spud tries to fight out of the heel corner but Ki takes him down and tags King back into the match as King puts the boots to Spud while Ki holds him down. King whips Spud into the corner and charges into a boot from Spud. Spud then ducks another charge attempt. Spud crawls to his corner and as King holds his leg Spud attempts an Enziguri, but King ducks and then punt kicks Spud again. Ki tags back in as the fans chant for Spud. Ki rakes the eyes of Spud and puts him in an Abdominal Stretch. Spud counters the Abdominal Stretch with a Hip Toss but eats a huge elbow from Spud followed by a kick. The BDC continue to beat Spud down in the heel corner. King tags into the match and hits a big Scoop Slam on Spud followed by another attempt at one, but Spud counters into a rollup as Ki distracts the referee. King escapes the rollup and grabs Spud by the leg but Spud connects with an Enziguri! Spud almost gets the tag but Ki knocks him off the apron and then the BDC double team Spud. Anderson says “screw it” and jumps in the ring leveling BDC with clotheslines! Anderson tosses Spud to his corner and then tags him! Anderson with clotheslines and elbows to both Ki and King! Anderson hits a Twisting Neckbreaker on King and then the Green Bay Plunge on Ki dropping him on top of King! Anderson grabs Spud and tosses him onto Ki’s shoulders as Spud hits a Hurricanrana! Ki grabs a chair on the floor and tries to slide it to King, but Anderson intercepts it! King attempts a Flying Knee attempt on Spud but Spud moves and hits the Underdog on King! The referee is arguing with Anderson about the chair as Ki dives off the top with the Warriors Way on Spud! King covers Spud and Ki keeps Anderson from stopping it!

Winnes: The BDC via pinfall (Warriors Way)

In the back EC3 and Bram get ready for their match. EC3 says that he will wet his appetite for championship gold with the Tag Titles tonight. Before EC3 can say anything else Bram interrupts him and says that he is the one that is unstoppable and then says he is going to rip Tigre Uno’s mask off his face and then shove it down his throat. EC3 says that is great but  he needs to make sure they win first. Bram says he just wants to hurt people. As Bram walks away EC3 looks at Tyrus and says that Bram is losing his mind but he will reap all the benefits from that.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

In the back Ki and King brag about their win and then MVP and Homicide approach and congratulate them for their win. MVP says that he is looking at the next Tag Champs, but says they also have a little piece of unfinished business. He says that they have something for Homicide, a little piece of unfinished business: Kurt Angle. Homicide says, “you want me to wrestle him?!” MVP says that he wants him to FIGHT him. Homicide laugh and pulls out a razor saying that Angle will never see him coming.

TNA Tag Team Titles Tournament Semifinals
Tigre Uno & Jay Rios vs. Ethan Carter III & Bram w/Tyrus

Jay Rios is also known as Marty Ben Dejo, having been part of a long time Indy tag team called Dos Ben Dejos. They actually have had a couple of TNA try outs in the past as a tag team. Jay Rios is wearing a mask now. EC3 and Rios lockup and Rios gets EC3 in a wristlock, but EC3 reverses it only for Rios to flip forward and then catch EC3 with an arm drag. Rios hits another armdrag and tags Tigre into the match. Tigre and Rios get EC3 in a Straightjacket type hold taking him down to his knees and then they sandwich EC3 with vicious double sliding dropkicks! Tigre chops EC3 and then attempts to whip him into the ropes but EC3 reverses it and goes for a clothesline. Tigre slides through the legs of EC3 and then hits a dropkick salto. EC3 rolls to the floor and then Tigre goes for a dive over the top but Tyrus catches him in midair and slams him to the floor as Bram distracted the referee. EC3 tosses Tigre back in the ring and pins him for a nearfall. Bram tags into the match and destroys Tigre with stomps and punches. Bram whips Tigre into the corner and stomps him down. Bram drags Tigre to the center of the ring and Elbow Drops him for a nearfall. EC3 tags into the match and puts Tigre in a chinlock. Tigre fights up to his feet but EC3 grabs him by the mask and slams him to the mat. EC3 grabs Tigre by the feet and attempts to drag him to the heel corner but Tigre kicks him away and reaches for a tag, but Bram tags in and stops him. Tigre attempts to get away but Bram grabs him by the leg only to eat an Enziguri from Tigre. Rios tags into the match and dives over a charging Bram. Rios hits a series of forearms and then a spinning headscissors! Rios follows up with a Running Mafia Kick in the corner and then a Springboard Missile Dropkick! Rios attempts a spin kick but Bram blocks it and shoves him into the ropes. Bram goes for a backdrop but Rios lands on his feet and takes Bram down with a superkick to the knee! Rios then hits a Springboard Diamond Cutter! 1…2…NO EC3 breaks it up! Tigre knocks EC3 to the floor and then Rios sets up for another springboard move but EC3 hits him from behind with his elbow brace and Bram hits the Brighter Side of Suffering! EC3 blind tags Bram and pins Rios!

Winners: EC3 & Bram via pinfall (Brighter Side of Suffering)

Bram is pissed at EC3 for stealing the win. Tyrus gets in Bram’s face to stop anything from happening.

In the back several of the Knockouts are shown standing around as Josh Matthews says a big announcement regarding the Knockouts will be made next.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Backstage says that Angle says that he hopes to see the old EY next week. He says that Homicide is crazy and that he hopes he has good insurance if he tries to mess with him.

Christy Hemme is in the ring and she introduces the Knockouts as Brooke Tessmacher, Taryn Terrell, Gail Kim, Angelina Love, and Madison Rayne come out. No sign of Rebel, Awesome Kong, or Havok. Christy says that the Knockouts will be highlighted next week because the show will be called “TKO” putting the focus on the girls. Before she can say anything else Angelina Love snatches the microphone away from her and says that the night should be devoted to her because she is the record breaking 6-time Knockouts Champion. Angelina says that it should be a celebration of her and the rest of the Knockouts should just deal with it. Gail grabs the microphone from her and says that everyone just wants Angelina to just shut the hell up because it isn’t about just any one of them it is about all the fans. Madison snatches the microphone away and asks Angelina if she is a 6-time champion how many times that means she lost it. Madison calls Gail annoying and says that no matter what is on any of the other girls resumes they are not the Queen Bee. Christy says that they will all get a shot to show what they can do next week. She says that next week they will have a #1 Contenders 4-Way between Brooke, Gail, Angelina, and Madison. Brooke says she can’t wait to get her title back and she is bringing a Texas sized ass… kicking. Christy says that new Knockouts will also be debuting and in the Main Event Awesome Kong will get a shot at Taryn Terrell’s title! Terrell says that she has more than proven that she deserves to be the champion and she will do so again against Kong.

Kong comes out and Terrell lays into Kong with forearms as she gets in the ring! Kong shoves her away as the other girls try to hold Kong out! All the girls start brawling around! All the girls spill out to the floor as Terrell dives off the top with a Plancha onto them all! Terrell grabs her title and stands tall in the ring!

In the back Jessie and Robbie talk about the match tonight. Robbie asks Jessie if he is ready for tonight and Jessie says he is and asks Robbie not to mess up tonight. Robbie walks away and the Dirty Heels approach him. They ask Robbie what the problem with the Bro-Mans is but Robbie says what they are trying to do won’t help. They say that they have been talking and figure they have to focus on Robbie to win tonight because of how great he is. They then suggest that if Robbie can manage to beat them tonight that could put him in line for a title shot. Robbie says the only question tonight is which one of them he will beat. Robbie walks away and Roode laughs saying that was too easy and then says they need to go find Jessie now.

TNA Tag Team Titles Tournament Semifinals
The Dirty Heels (Bobby Roode & Austin Aries) vs. The Bro-Mans (Jessie & Robbie E)

Both teams are former Tag Team Champions. Robbie and Jesse are arguing about who should start the match. As they argue Aries dives off the top with a Plancha onto both of them! He tosses Robbie into he ring where Roode clotheslines him repeatedly before hitting a Front Suplex! Aries tags into the match and Roode catapults Robbie into a Forearm Smash from Aries! Robbie falls down onto the knees of Roode and Aries hits a Slingshot Splash. He covers Robbie and Jesse attempts to break up the pin with an elbow but Aries just moves out of the way. Aries tosses Jesse to the floor and then hits Robbie with a Snapmare as he and Roode take turns kicking and elbowing Robbie. Roode tags in and covers Robbie for a nearfall. Roode hits the ropes but Jesse trips him from the floor and Robbie hits a Running Back Elbow! Jesse blind tags Robbie and puts the boots to Roode. Jesse hits a Standing Dropkick for a nearfall and then slams Roode into the turnbuckles. Robbie blind tags Jesse and knees Roode in the gut. Robbie hits a back elbow on Roode and then dives off the top with a Flying Clothesline for a nearfall. Robbie puts Roode in a headlock but Roode fights up to his feet and breaks the hold with elbows. Robbie hits Roode in the back and hits a Russian Leg Sweep for another nearfall. Jesse tags back in and Bro-Mans whips Roode hard into the corner. Jesse whips Robbie into Roode for a clothesline but he eats Roode’s boot! Roode then ducks a clothesline attempt from Jesse and hits a Hangman’s Neckbreaker! Aries tags into the match and hits shoulder blocks to both Jesse and Robbie through the ropes followed by elbows and slamming them into opposite corners. Aries hits more elbow strikes and then slams them into each other. Aries hits a Slingshot Somersault Splash on Jesse and then the IED on Robbie in the corner! Robbie rolls to the floor and Aries sets up for a dive but Jesse lays him out with a huge knee followed by a Gorilla Press Slam! Jesse taunts Aries and then lifts him up for the Bro Down, but Roode trips Robbie from the floor and Aries boxes the ears of Jesse! Roode pulls Robbie to the floor and Aries hits a Roaring Elbow to Jesse knocking him through the ropes to the floor! Roode holds the Bro-Mans as Aries dives through the ropes with the Heat Seeking Missile through the ropes onto them! Roode drags Jesse into the ring and tosses him into a corner. Roode then whips Aries into the IED on Jesse! Aries tosses Jesse into the Double-R Spinebuster from Roode and then Aries dives off the top with the 450 Splash!

Winners: Dirty Heels via pinfall (450 Splash)

Jesse and Robbie argue after the match and start shoving each other. They actually start swinging on each other! Zema Ion runs out to get between them and finally manages to separate them, but then Jesse shoves Zema and leaves. Robbie then shoves Zema as well.

In the parking lot Homicide and Angel are shown brawling! Homicide slams Angle into a door and then drags him into the backstage area choking him. Homicide hits Angle with a trashcan and then slams him into a table.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Back from commercials the brawl between Homicide and Angle spills into the arena. They brawl all around ringside with Homicide choking Angle with a chair and then slamming him into the ring post with the chair hanging around Angle’s neck! Homicide slams Angle into the ring steps but Angle fights back and tosses Homicide into the steps as well. Homicide rakes the eyes of Angle and rolls him into the ring and counters a right hand attempt into a Gringo Cutta! Homicide takes his boot off and then low blows Angle before going to hit Angle with the boot! Angle ducks and hits a German Suplex on Homicide! Angle puts Homicide in the Angle Lock on his shoeless foot! The rest of the BDC hit the ring and beat on Angle. Ki and King hold Angle as Homicide hits Angle with his boot and then MVP hits the Driveby Kick! MVP hits Angle with a chair but The Rising hits the ring and starts fighting with Ki, King, and Homicide. MVP continues to hit Angle with the chair in the ring as The Rising brawls with the BDC to the back. MVP goes to hit Angle in the head with the chair but EY runs out and gets between MVP and Angle. MVP agrees to lay off Angle and hands EY the chair to lay Angle out with. EY picks up the chair and goes to hit Angle with it, but stops himself and drops the chair.

A video package highlights the history of the Ultimate X.

TNA Tag Team Championship Tournament Finals
Ultimate X Match
The Hardy Boys vs. The BDC vs. Ethan Carter III & Bram vs. The Dirty Heels

This is only the fourth time ever that the Ultimate X has decided the Tag Team Championships. Jeff Hardy, King, Ki, Roode, and Aries have all took part in Ultimate X’s in the past while Matt Hardy, EC3, and Bram have never been involved in an Ultimate X before. Neither EC3 or Bram have ever won a title before in TNA while Ki has won the Tag Team Titles multiple times and the Dirty Heels are former champions together. The Hardyz are multi time WCW and WWE Tag Team Champions but have never won the TNA Tag Team Titles. The bell rings and everybody goes at it! The Hardyz and Dirty Heels clean the ring of everyone else and start going at it with each other! Jeff hits a Leaping Mule Kick on Roode and then Matt knocks Aries into the other corner. Hardy leaps off of Matt’s back with Poetry in Motion on Aries but then as he dives off of Matt’s back again Roode nails him with a clothesline in midair! Aries lays out Matt with a Roaring Elbow! Roode tosses Jeff to the floor and then Roode whips Aries into the ropes and Aries dives through the ropes with the Heat Seeking Missile onto EC3 & Bram on the floor!

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

The heels have taken over control of the match now. BDC and Bram/EC3 start fighting now. Ki and EC3 exchange wicked chops but on the floor Tyrus trips both Ki and King and drags them to the floor. EC3 explains to Bram that he can’t climb the wires but Bram screams at him to do it and get the belts. EC3 goes to the floor and pulls out a ladder! EC3 and Bram both climb the ladder but The Hardyz pull them down and then slam the ladder into both Bram and EC3! Aries tries to get in the ring but they toss the ladder at him and then knock Roode off the apron with it as well! Hardy then baseball slides the ladder into Roode on the floor! Both Matt and Jeff climb to the top and start scaling the cables and then Ki and King also scale them! Tyrus grabs the scaffolding and starts shaking it knocking them off the cables! Tyrus lays out Matt with a clothesline and then tosses Jeff to the floor. EC3 climbs on Tyrus’s shoulders and reaches up to pull the belts down but Aries dives off the top with a Missile Dropkick onto Tyrus and EC3! Bram destroys Aries with a Lariat and then sets the ladder up in the corner. Bram attempts to whip Aries into the ladder but Aries blocks it and hits a Roaring Elbow! Roode comes from out of nowhere with a Blockbuster off the top on Bram! Dirty Heels whip Bram into the ladder and then Roode tosses Aries into an IED on Bram sending him into the ladder! Aries tosses Bram to Roode who hits him with the Double-R Spinebuster! Roode climbs to the top and as he starts scaling the cables Aries stands under him allowing Roode to stand on his shoulders to stable himself. Homicide runs out and hits Aries with a baton and then pulls Rode down into a Gringo Cutta! King climbs up the ladder but Matt Hardy runs in and hits Homicide with a Side Effect! Matt climbs up with King and hits a Super Twist of Fate off the ladder! Matt climbs up the ladder as Jeff Hardy climbs up to the top of the scaffold. Ki springboards off the top onto the ladder and starts trading punches with Matt. Jeff actually walks across the cables using the scaffold to balance himself. Jeff drops down and knocks Ki off the cables and pulls the belts down as Matt climbs up with him!

Winners & NEW TNA Tag Champions: The Hardys via pulling the titles down
