AJ Styles vs. Rusev for WWE Championship now set, Updated card for Extreme Rules PPV

Following last night’s Smackdown Live in Toledo, WWE officially confirmed a new challenger for AJ Styles and the WWE Championship at the Extreme Rules PPV on July 15.

Rusev will now challenge Styles for the WWE Championship in four weeks in Pittsburgh. Rusev earned the title shot after winning a Gauntlet main event match on Smackdown.

Already announced for the show is a multi-man match to determine who will challenge Brock Lesnar next for the WWE Universal Championship, while Alexa Bliss will defend the RAW Women’s Championship against Nia Jax.
