CMLL 02/05 Arena Mexico Results

4) Shocker, Blue Panther, & Hector Garza def. Averno, Mephisto, & El Terrible
5) National Parejas Increibles Tournament Finals: Atlantis & Mascara Dorada def. Negro Casas & La Mascara
6) Volador Jr. def. Mistico
* NOTES *
– Dorada & Atlantis win the first National Parejas Increibles Tournament. The crowd was very pro-Mascara & Casas (since they were representing Mexico City in the tourney).
– Mistico went all out rudo in the Main Event going as far as to rip up Volador’s mask in the first fall. A ‘fan’ then gave Volador another mask to wear and Mistico ripped it up as well! In the 3rd fall someone from the back brought Volador yet a 3rd mask and Mistico proceeeded to rip it up as well! In the first fall Mistico was DQ’d for ripping up Volador’s mask but came back in the 2nd fall with a DQ win of his own. Mistico actually pointed up at the ramp (like someone was coming down) which caused the referee to turn and when he turned Mistico snatched his own mask off, threw it to Voladora, and then quickly laid on the mat and acted as if he had been beated on and robbed of his mask by Volador. The referee turned around and saw Volador holding the mask and DQ’ed him. In the third fall Mistico went for La Mistica but Volador countered and locked Mistico in it! Mistico tapped out to his own hold CLEAN! A pretty shocking conclusion to the match and as a result Volador will get a shot at Mistico’s Mexican Light Heavyweight Title next week where I expect Mistico to officially turn rudo completely. After watching the match myself it was really good and came off great. Mistico played the rudo role perfectly and both guys pulled out all the stops. This feud could be really something. Mistico was even wearing the same mask/gear from last week where it was part Mistico and part Averno and pretty awesome (courtesy of Super Luchas):

* NOTES *
– Lasser Boy is a character from AAA’s new movie and he was introduced by La Parka Jr. before this match (his TV debut). There may be some type of family connection there (but I’m not sure) or it may just because of Parka’s work on the AAA movie. I’ve only seen one picture of this guy but he looks REALLY young.
– In the Main Event Electroshock forced La Parka Jr. to submit and then afterwards demanded to be added to the Mesias-Latin Lover Title Match at Rey de Reyes since he won the tournament last year but was never given a title shot.
