CMLL Anniversary Predictions
Since the show is really only built around the huge Cage Match I’ll just give the predication for it. There are a few guys that I have in the “no way in hell they’re losing their mask” list (which would be Jushin Liger, Ultimo Guerrero, Averno, Mistico, La Sombra, and Volador Jr.). Also, there’s the “highly unlikely losing their mask” list (Atlantis, Mephisto, Ephesto, & Alebrije), and then there’s the “could be” list (Psicosis II, Mr. Niebla, Histeria II, and Olimpico). I expect it to come down to Psicosis II and La Sombra to give Sombra a big Mask win. I could also see a rudo vs. rudo final showdown with Psicosis & Volador, but I’m going with Sombra over Psicosis for the finish. Histeria will probably drop his mask before years end too.

– In the Main Event Dorada pinned Negro Casas and then challenged him to put up the CMLL Welterweight Title. Negro accepted it and next week Dorada has a chance to be a quadruple champion! I’m not sure if he will be the first ever to do that (if he wins) but he definitely would be the first in a long time at the very least. Dorada is also the CMLL Super Lightweight Champion, 1/3 of the CMLL Trios Champions (with La Sombra & La Mascara), and 1/3 of the Mexican National Trios Champions (with Metro & Stuka Jr.).

LL-USA Update
This week Lucha Libre USA Managing Editor, Steve Ship, told PWInsider that the rumors saying MTV2 was canceling “Masked Warriors” was untrue. He says they still have their 52-episode commitment and the show WILL return for a 2nd season. He claims that they always planned on doing it in seasons instead of 52 straight weeks. He also went on to say that the Charlotte tapings and the upcoming Corpus Christi tapings will be shown on MTV’s website as well as LL-USA’s website. He also says that when they begin taping new episodes for MTV2 they will tape from the same location every show.
NOSAWA Celebrates 15th Anniversary With Big Show Featuring Luchadores
NOSAWA will celebrate his 15th year Anniversary of breaking into the business with a huge show on 10/08 which will feature several luchador and Japanese stars including stars from Dragon Gate and across Mexico. The luchador stars announced for the card include Vampiro, El Pantera, and CMLL’s Mima Shimoda as well as the legendary Mil Mascaras. Also, Dragon Gate stars CIMA, Masaaki Mochizuki, & Stalker Ichikawa will compete. Other stars include NOSAWA himself (obviously), the legendary Abdullah the Butcher, Genichiro Tenryu, Gran hamada, El Samura, Taka Michinoku, Black Tiger, Minoru, Ricky Fuji, and many more.
