AAA

Another AAA Star Gets TNA Tryout

A few weeks ago former AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion, Christina Von Eerie, received a tryout with TNA and reportedly signed with the company. Now Von Eerie’s “Los Gringas Locos” partner, Jennifer Blake (aka Jennifer Blade), received a tryout with the company at this weeks Impact tapings. Blake faced (and was beaten by) Knockouts Champion, Madison Rayne, in a Dark Match. Blake was said to have impressed, much like Von Eerie did, and she could possibly be signing with the company shortly as well.

INDY & OTHER NEWS

3rd Generation Guerrero Signs with WWE?

Rumors started circulating this week that the 20 year old daughter of legendary luchadore and WWE Hall of Famer, Eddie Guerrero, and Vickie Guerrero had reportedly signed a developmental deal with the WWE. Shaul Marie Guerrero is the oldest daughter of the Guerrero family and she had supposedly been telling fans at recent FCW events that she attended that she had signed with the company and would be starting her training soon. I’m unaware of her receiving any previous training and even though she’s only 3 years younger than me this just seems so weird. I can remember seeing her when she was so young during Eddie Guerrero’s “Cheating Death, Stealing Life” DVD. Below are pictures of the now obviously grown up Shaul Guerrero:

LL-USA “Masked Warriors” Return?
Lucha Libre USA announced this week that they would be filming the first season 2 episode of the MTV2 series “Masked Warriors” on 12/12 from Albuquerque, New Mexico! In a Press Release to the public LL-USA announced that not only would “Masked Warriors” be returning but the promotion has a new home. The entire Season 2 will be filmed from Albuquerque’s Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. According to the press release Season 2 will go from December through June, 2011. No word on when Season 2 will air on MTV2 yet.

The Best Dives of 2009
Here is a special bonus for you guys. Lucha fan and YouTube wizard, Rob Viper, created a compilation of the Best Dives of 2009 from CMLL and AAA. Some of the sickest dives you’ll ever see from the top stars in both promotions are featured on these videos. Enjoy:

Perros del Mal Show Canceled
Perros del Mal had a show scheduled for Tuesday this week but a few hours before the show was supposed to take place they announced via their Facebook that the show had been canceled. They claim that the promoter that was bringing the promotion in hadn’t actually booked the building. Despite this, tickets were still being sold outside of the building all day long. And despite THAT the buildings owners claim to have no idea what was going on (so why the f*ck was your building selling tickets then?). This is all bizarre and absolutely ridiculous as no one from the building could tell the fans that showed up anything and absolutely nobody from Perros del Mal (or the promoter that supposedly did this) showed up to at least tell the fans that were waiting outside of the empty building for hours what was going on. This is just bad business and stupid all the way around. PdM claims that they will pay back every dollar to the fans that bought tickets beforehand.

CHIKARA Announces Final Philly Show of The Year
Off the heels of CHIKARA’s events this past weekend they announced that 11/21 will be the final ECW Arena (Philly) show for the promotion this year. The event is titled “The Germans” and they announced the first two matches on the card as well. First off, The Olsen Twins (Jimmy Olsen & Colin Delaney) will do battle with The UnStable (Vin Gerard & STIGMA), but in the Main Event Eddie Kingston will go one-on-one with former TNA X-Division & Tag Team Champion, Homicide, in what CHIKARA is dubbing a “Dream Match!” CHIKARA will also be in Easton, PA the night before for “Scornucopia.” 3 matches have already been set for that event as well. The Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian) will do battle with the oddball team of Obariyon & Kodama. Also, in a throwback of an old CHIKARA feud the team of 3.0 (Jagged & Shane Mathews) will face off against Los Ice Creams (Ice Cream Jr. & Hijo del Ice Cream)! In the Main Event it will be the return of the Golden Dream Elimination 8-Man Tag Match! Hallowicked, Jigsaw, Arik Cannon, & Fire Ant will team up to face Tim Donst, STIGMA, Vin Gerard, & Max Boyer.
