Back 18 years ago this May (Lord that makes me feel even older than I am) the ECW Arena opened. If someone would have told me that names that the Arena would feature, you’d have questioned their sanity. On that May day, if you’d told me we’d see Gran Hamada, Gran Naniwa, Atsushi Onita, Masato Tanaka, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Dan Kroffat and Doug Furnas, Rey Misterio, Jr. and Juventud Guerrera (to name but a few); along with Ric Flair and Curt Hennig featured for other companies…

Now Philadelphia (and North Jersey/New York fans) will be seeing what is essentially the entire New Japan Pro Wrestling lineup.

    Damn.

There have also already been comments made that if these shows do well…that this will not be the last time New Japan comes over.

    Until next time…
