AAA

Perro Aguayo Jr. Hospitalized

AAA star, Perro Aguayo Jr., is currently in Intensive Care at a hospital after having surgery Sunday morning to remove a tumor that was reported to be the “size of a golf ball” from his stomach. Following a Tag Team match last weekend he complained of stomach pains and it got progressively worse as the week went on and was checked into a Hospital on Friday. There have been other outlets that have claimed that he also bursted an ulcer and the tumor may have been cancerous. On Thursday Perros del Mal held a Press Conference led by Damian666 to update on Perro’s condition. Not much new was said other than he is stable and they are still waiting on confirmation of whether the tumor was cancerous. At the Press Conference PdM actually gave the press copies of Perro’s Medical Report with actual pictures of the tumor. I’m not going to include the pictures, mainly because I don’t think it’s very tasteful to do so but if you DO want to see them the link to the article with the pictures will be below this news item. I want to wish Perro a speedy recovery and hope everyone is praying for him.

El Hijo del Santo Walks Boxer to Ring
At Saturday’s big Erik Morales vs. Marcos Maidana fight in Las Vegas (which has been called by some an early Fight of the Year Candidate) Lucha legend Hijo del Santo walked Morales to the ring for the big WBA World Light Welterweight Championship. The event was broadcast on HBO PPV and should be replayed next weekend on HBO’s Boxing After Dark: Berto vs. Ortiz. Maidana was able to win the fight despite a strong rally by Morales in the later rounds. Pics of Santo with Morales are below:

LL-USA Cancels Show, Reschedules
Following the announcement of TNA’s Impact starting up on MTVTres many rumors about Lucha Libre USA’s future with “Masked Warriors” had made the rounds (Marco Corleone never responded back to me when I asked him about these rumors). LL-USA announced via their Facebook/Twitter accounts that the planned April TV Taping had been canceled and rescheduled to May 28th. They went so far as to release “Preview Pics” of Season 2 on their Facebook page to try and tell everyone that it hadn’t been canceled. They also mentioned that Psicosis II would be appearing on May 28th still and would be still facing RJ Brewer.
