Sarita To Puerto Rico

TNA and CMLL star Sarita/Dark Angel will be heading to Puerto Rico for WWC’s Anniversary events in July where she will face fellow TNA Knockout Mickie James in one-on-one action.

CMLL Patents “Sin Cara”
In an insane story this week it was reported that the WWE somehow “forgot” (or didn’t bother) to patent/copyright the “Sin Cara” name in Mexico so what happened? His (Mistico/Sin Cara) former promotion, CMLL, patented it instead! So legally CMLL owns the “Sin Cara” name in Mexico. What does this mean? I really have no idea. I don’t know much about copyrights and patents so I don’t know if that means WWE simply can’t use the Sin Cara name in Mexico or if they have to pay CMLL to use it or if that means CMLL is going to make their own Sin Cara character (which would seem very petty to me).

Mascara Dorada in Super Juniors
CMLL’s Mascara Dorada’s quest to win the 2011 Best of Super Juniors Tournament came to an end with Dorada tied for 5th Place in Block B with 8 points (tied with Taka Michinoku & Jushin Thunder Liger). Dorada ended with wins over Jushin Liger, Ryusuke Taguchi, Daisuke Sasaki, & Gedo in the tournament while losing to Taka, Ibushi, Great Sasuke, & KUSHIDA. Dorada’s win over Taguchi earns him a shot at the CMLL Middleweight Title on 06/18. Dorada will then remain in Japan for the Trios Tournament.

AAA

AAA Tandem Heading to NOAH In Japan

This week Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan and AAA announced that AAA’s Aerostar & Jack Evans would be heading to NOAH for their annual Junior Tag League Tournament from July 16th to July 30th. Last year Evans along with Extreme Tiger made it all the way to the Semifinals of the tournament. Long time NOAH star and former AAA and CMLL star Ricky Marvin will be teaming with his brother Rocky Marvin who is AAA’s Mini Histeria. He will likely be wrestling under his Rocky Marvin name rather than Mini Histeria (as no one in AAA or Marvin have publicly said he was Mini Histeria). Also, “TripleMania” will air on SamuraiTV in Japan again this year (no date announced yet though).

Perro Aguayo Jr. To Miss TripleMania
This week AAA announced that Perro Aguayo Jr. is not going to be able to wrestle in the Trios Title Tournament Finals at TripleMania due to an illness (likely something to do with the stomach issues he had a few months ago). X-Fly will replace him in the match.

El Mesias Kidnapped?
In a bizarre turn of events this week SuperLuchas reported that AAA star El Mesias was kidnapped outside of an airport in Mexico City this week. SuperLuchas report claimed it was quoting from a Press Release issued by AAA. They claimed that Mesias was at the Mexico City Airport connecting from Cancun to Monterrey when he stepped outside for a smoke. At that time a truck pulled up and several pulled dragged Mesias into the car. The next day Mesias was supposedly released badly beaten and hurt and SuperLuchas went as far as to supposedly quote Mesias’ wife. Other sites said that they had spoken to AAA’s PR Department and they claimed to have never released anything like this and to have no knowledge of a kidnapping. What we do KNOW is that Mesias did in fact miss the show he was scheduled for on Sunday in Monterrey at Arena Solidaridad where he was to face L.A. Park in a singles match. Later on Tuesday night Mesias spoke DIRECTLY to Record and said all of this was completely untrue and he was never kidnapped, but never explained why he missed the show on Sunday. This could just be a case of the promoter of the show Sunday covering up the Mesias no-show with this insane story to try and save face and it running away from him, but it doesn’t explain the SuperLuchas report. I would find it hard to believe that they would BLATANTLY make something like this up. Regardless, this has been one of the most bizarre stories of the year.

TNA vs. AAA To Continue
This week AAA Vice President, Dorian Roldan, confirmed to SuperLuchas that the AAA vs. TNA feud would continue on after this weekends TripleMania PPV with more TNA talent invading the company in the months to come.

Sin Cara was supposedly backstage at this event and wanted to appear live in front of the crowd in support of his brother but WWE would not allow it. He hit a Flip Piledriver (Canadian Destroyer) to get the pin on Super Fly in his debut.
– The Roldans declared that anyone that is not scheduled for a match at TripleMania yet interferes in one will be FIRED.
