The WWE opening promo plays.

A video package runs focusing on CM Punk and how when the clock strikes Midnight tonight, his contract with WWE is over and he will walk out with the WWE Championship. We then get highlights of Punk’s comments against WWE, Vince McMahon and John Cena. “Say goodbye to the WWE Title. Say goodbye to John Cena. And say goodbye…to CM Punk.”

A graphic opening hits welcoming us to WWE Money in the Bank. We go live to the Allstate Arena where a huge display of pyro goes off. We see ladders setup around the ring as Michael Cole is the first to welcome us to the show. 14,815 WWE fans have sold out the show tonight in Chicago. We go to ringside with Cole, Jerry “The King” Lawler and Booker T.

The Smackdown “Money in the Bank” ladder match is up first to kick off the show.

“Smackdown” Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Sin Cara vs. Wade Barrett vs. Justin Gabriel vs. Sheamus vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Heath Slater vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Kane

The bell rings and everyone starts brawling in the ring. Kane tosses Gariel into the corner and then outside. Kane, Sheamus and Barrett are the three that remain. Sheamus and Barrett attack Kane. Kane drops both with a double clothesline and then clotheslines both over the top rope. Bryan baseball slides a ladder into the chest of Kane. Gabriel and Slater do the same to Bryan. Both level Sin Cara with a ladder when he attempts a baseball slide by lifting it up and hitting him with the ladder on the outside. Slater drops Gabriel and sets the ladder up in the ring. Gabriel grabs Slater by the hair, knocks him off, moves the ladder over and Bryan dropkicks him off. Rhodes knocks Bryan away and Sheamus goes after Rhodes. Rhodes breaks free from a powerbomb attempt by Sheamus and levels Gabriel with a kick. Kane throws Sheamus and Rhodes to the outside. Kane sets the ladder up in the corner and sends Barrett face first into it. Kane then throws the ladder over the top rope on Sheamus and Rhodes. Kane takes out Slater with a side slam. Sin Cara kicks Kane in the head when he goes up top. Bryan sends Sin Cara outside. Bryan with a suicide dive on Barrett. Gabriel with a big dive over the top rope on Kane. Slater with a corkscrew dive over the top rope. Sin Cara with a springboard dive to the outside over Sheamus. Sin Cara with a springboard flying elbow on Gabriel. Sin Cara catches Bryan with a kick up top to the head, climbs up with Bryan and does his big flip suplex from the top to the mat below. Huge reaction for Sin Cara. Sin Cara goes to grab a ladder and Barrett drops him with a big boot. Barrett places a large ladder across the ring apron and spanish announce table. Sin Cara then takes a huge big boot from Sheamus inside the ring. Sheamus then lifts up Sin Cara on the ring apron and powerbombs him through the ladder cracking it in half! Huge reaction in Chicago to this spot.

WWE referees and officials surround Sin Cara at ringside. Sheamus grabs a smaller ladder and slides it in the ring as Kane cuts him off. Kane then throws the ladder over Sheamus at ringside. Rhodes and Bryan both bring in ladders along with Kane. Rhodes and Bryan go after Kane kicking him to the corner. Bryan with a big elbow that drops Rhodes. Sin Cara is taken to the back on a stretcher. Kane drops both using the ladder and sets it up. Kane is pulled off. Barrett, Slater and Gabriel all triple team Bryan. Barrett appears to be trying to convince Gabriel and Slater to help him. Barrett starts climbing up and they pull him down. Gabriel and Slater attack Barrett. Both climb the ladder. Rhodes then pushes the ladder over. Cross Rhodes on Slater. Rhodes is climbing up the ladder. Barrett pulls him down. Rhodes pulls him down and hits Cross Rhodes. Rhodes is climbing and Sheamus pulls him down. Sheamus drops Rhodes over his knee. Sheamus starts climbing and Bryan cuts him off. Sheamus has Bryan on his shoulders. Kane comes off the top rope with a flying clothesline taking out Bryan. Sheamus then levels Kane. Sheamus grabs a ladder and puts one end in the corner and the other end through a ladder set up. Kane fights off Sheamus and then chokeslams Rhodes. Chokeslam on Gabriel. Kane is climbing up the ladder. Bryan cuts off Kane. Kane attempts a chokeslam. Bryan almost counters into an armbar. Bryan with another counter dropping Kane with a DDT. Slater is climbing up the ladder. Bryan cuts him off and climbs up as well. Slater with a reverse neckbreaker off the ladder to the mat below. Barrett goes after Slater and crotches him on the top turnbuckle. Barrett and Sheamus push the top of a ladder into the stomach of Slater and push him to the outside. Sheamus with big boots on Barrett, Rhodes and Gabriel. Sheamus grabs another ladder and places it across the ropes in a nearby corner while kicking Gabriel.

Sheamus continues to check on the other ladder he put in the corner and through the main ladder. Sheamus drops Gabriel jaw first over the ladder over the corner and then finishes him off with a big boot. Sheamus climbs up the main ladder facing the ladder laying beneath him. Kane climbs up the other side. Sheamus with right hands to Kane who drops down. Sheamus kicks Kane away when he goes under him. Kane with a chokeslam on Sheamus who bounces off the ladder that was under it. Kane is climbing up. Rhodes, Bryan and Barrett cut him off. Rhodes with a springboard kick to the jaw of Kane. Barrett with Wasteland on Kane. Gabriel is up top standing over a ladder on the top turnbuckle. Gabriel with a 450 Splash in a tight space near the corner over Kane! Barrett with Wasteland on Gabriel to Slater on the outside. Barrett with an pump handle slam on Rhodes. Barrett is climbing up. Rhodes is back up and pulls Barrett off. Rhodes clotheslines Barrett over the top rope. Bryan sneaks up the ladder. Bryan with a big elbow to Rhodes who is trying to cut him off. Barrett is climbing up behind them. Barrett has the briefcase. Bryan with a guillotine choke on Rhodes. Bryan elbows Barrett off the ladder. Barrett is back up, grabs Bryan, looks for Wasteland, Bryan with huge elbows to Barrett and then a huge kick. Bryan is up top and grabs the briefcase. Huge reaction in Chicago for Bryan’s win.

Winner of the Smackdown “Money in the Bank” briefcase: Daniel Bryan

After the match, Daniel Bryan celebrates his win holding up the briefcase high. We then see a series of highlights of the match leading to the finish. Back live, Bryan is at the top of the ladder holding up the briefcase.

We see footage of Vince McMahon arriving earlier tonight. McMahon is with WWE VP of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis and an unnamed attorney. Michael Cole says they are trying to negotiate with CM Punk right now as we speak backstage.

WWE Divas Championship
Kelly Kelly (c) w/ Eve Torres vs. Brie Bella w/ Nikki Bella

The bell rings and Kelly with a big slap and takedown on Brie early on. Kelly with a head scissors takedown as well. Kelly with a headstand head hold and Brie sends Kelly to the mat outside face first. Brie with a leg scissors submission on Kelly. Brie breaks it up and then puts Kelly against the second rope applying pressure to her back/neck using her knees. Brie works over Kelly’s right arm wrenching back on it. Brie with big shots to the ribs of Kelly. Kelly breaks it up with a modified stunner. Kelly throws Brie’s face into the mat numerous times screaming. Lawler adds, “Ha! She is a screamer.” Kelly with a reverse neckbreaker on Brie. Kelly with a bulldog. Brie went down a bit early on that one. Kelly with a leg drop/fameasser combo on Brie and gets the pinfall.

After the match, Eve joins Kelly in the ring to celebrate the win. The Bella’s head to the back yelling at Kelly.

A video package runs hyping Big Show vs. Mark Henry.

Big Show vs. Mark Henry

The bell rings and Henry catches Big Show with a big kick and right hands. Big Show fires back with slaps and chops. Big Show with a big shoulder tackle sending Henry out of the ring and Big Show to the mat. Big Show then levels Henry with a clothesline on the outside. They exchange shots near the spanish announce table. Big Show sends Henry over the steel steps. Henry then dropkicks the steps into the knee of Big Show. Big Show rolls back in favoring his knee. Henry with a chop block from behind. Henry with a big boot to the head and then another boot to the chest of Big Show. Henry lifts up Big Show’s leg and drives his knee into the mat with force. Henry with a half boston crab putting pressure on Big Show’s knee. Big Show is reaching for the ropes and pulling Henry with him. Big Show gets to the bottom rope. Big Show kicks Henry away when he goes after him. Big Show catches Henry with a big boot to the chest in the corner. Big Show is going up to the second rope and connects with a shoulder tackle. Big Show favors his knee on the way down. Henry with kicks to the bad knee of Big Show and then connects with the World’s Strongest Slam! Henry hooks the leg and Big Show kicks out after two. Henry is surprised. Henry screams out and gives Big Show a second World’s Strongest Slam. Henry with a body splash. Henry with a second body splash. Henry hooks the leg and gets the pinfall.

Winner: Mark Henry

After the match, Mark Henry grabs a steel chair and puts Big Show’s ankle/foot inside of it. Henry jumps off the second rope and connects with a body splash over Big Show’s ankle. Big Show immediately screams out in pain dropping a very loud F-bomb. WWE referees and officials attend to Big Show. We see a replay of Henry dropping over Big Show’s ankle. They bring a cart down ringside and put Big Show on the back of it. They are selling this hard as we can hear a conversation between Big Show and a WWE official. The official asks if that is what Henry was supposed to do. Big Show says yes, but not that hard. Nice job on WWE’s part selling it hard all the way to the end.

Backstage, Vince McMahon is with John Laurinaitis when Josh Mathews comes in asking if they were able to re-sign CM Punk. McMahon says no. He added he offered Punk one of the biggest deals ever and Punk still turned him down. McMahon said he hopes the CM Punk fans don’t blame him since he did all he could. Mathews asked what Punk said. McMahon said Punk told him to get out. He said John Cena is the reason we have this problem and this is all on Cena tonight. McMahon said if Punk leaves this building tonight with the WWE Championship, “may God have mercy on John Cena’s soul.”

Raw “Money in the Bank” Ladder Match
Alberto Del Rio vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger vs. Evan Bourne vs. R-Truth vs. Alex Riley vs. The Miz vs. Rey Mysterio

Everyone has a ladder in hand as the bell rings. They all sandwich Del Rio and knock him out of the ring. Miz launches Mysterio under the bottom rope to the outside. Riley knocks Swagger to the outside. We have a stand off between Truth and Miz with tiny ladders. Swagger knocks out both with another ladder. Swagger is trying to setup a ladder when Bourne and Kingston climb up both sides and then throw it at Swagger. They take out Truth as well. Mysterio springboards off the ladder when Bourne and Kingston play tug of war. Riley sets up a small ladder and starts climbing when Miz cuts him off. Riley throws the ladder at Miz sending him to the outside. Riley with a dive over the top rope on Swagger and Miz. Truth with a flip dive over the top rope as well over Miz and Swagger. Mysterio and Kingston are both up top. Both take out everyone on the outside with quick dives. A large ladder is setup at ringside and Bourne connects with a Shooting Star Press on everyone at ringside. Huge reaction in Chicago for that spot. The large ladder is setup in the ring. Miz and Bourne are up top. Bourne with a kick to Miz. Del Rio then knocks the ladder over and both Miz and Bourne crash and burn. Miz is favoring his knee screaming in pain. A WWE official and more referees attend to Miz who screams anytime someone puts pressure on it. Del Rio is knocked off another ladder by Truth. Del Rio and Truth are both on the ladder. Mysterio and Bourne scale over them. Mysterio and Bourne both pull out double huricanrana’s on Del Rio and Truth. Swagger is in to drop Mysterio with a quick clothesline. Kingston springboards to the ladder over Swagger. Swagger with an ankle lock on Kingston while he is on the ladder. Kingston falls down. Riley is now up. Swagger with right hands to Riley. Mysterio breaks it up and then goes after Truth.

Mysterio setup a ladder in the corner and Truth dropkicks it into Mysterio’s chest when he slides under and stands up. Mysterio knocks Truth back who hits the ladder on the way down. Kingston springboards off the ladder and hits a Boom Drop over Truth. Kingston knocks Del Rio to the outside. Kingston pulls the big ladder towards the middle under it and Mysterio hits a 619 using the ladder! Truth jumps over a ladder causing it to fly up into Swagger’s face. Mysterio with a 619 to Truth. Mysterio sets up a second tall ladder near the other one and starts climbing. Riley and Bourne are now up with Mysterio. Riley knocks Bourne off. Mysterio and Riley exchange shots. Del Rio and Bourne bring two ladders close by climbing up. Everyone is climbing up at the top of respective ladders reaching for the briefcase that is now dangling over them. Del Rio is sent face first into a ladder in the corner. Swagger is down. Bourne is down. Riley is down. Truth is down. Kingston kicks Mysterio down. Kingston is up top by himself. Kingston reaches up. Swagger is up, cuts him off, Kingston with an elbow to Swagger’s face and both Swagger and Kingston go down at the same time. Miz is hopping down the ramp on one leg. Miz is climbing up when Mysterio cuts him off. Mysterio with a sunset flip powerbomb on Miz off the ladder. Chicago crowd gave Miz a huge reaction on his way down. Mysterio is climbing up the ladder and reaching. Del Rio cuts him off. Mysterio kicks him away. Del Rio is back up on the other side. Mysterio uses the briefcase to hit Del Rio in the face with it. Del Rio pushes Mysterio over and he lands on another ladder nearby. Del Rio reaches out and pulls Mysterio’s mask off. The ladder tips over into the other two. Del Rio stands up, throws Mysterio’s mask across the ring and climbs back up the tall ladder. Del Rio reaches up and gets the briefcase.

After the match, Alberto Del Rio holds up the briefcase to a huge reaction in Chicago. We then see highlights of the match leading to the finish.

Backstage, Josh Mathews is with Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio said winning the briefcase wasn’t his destiny. His destiny is to become the new WWE Champion.

We get ring introductions for the challenger Christian and champion Randy Orton.

The bell rings and Christian bails to the outside. He grabs a steel chair and slides it in the ring to taunt Orton. Christian turns his back to Orton and Orton throws the steel chair out of the ring. Christian pushes Orton. Orton fires back with a right hand. Orton with a big uppercut to Christian in the corner. Orton with a high back body drop on Christian. Orton stomps away at Christian and then drops a knee. Christian with big right hands. Orton drops Christian with a clothesline. Crowd in Chicago seems to be more pro-Christian. Orton dodges a dive to the outside by Christian. Christian drops Orton back first off the top rope. Christian is up top and connects with a flying elbow. Christian with big kicks to Orton on the mat. Christian catches Orton with another elbow and drops him. Christian mounts Orton and drops some big right hands. Christian pushes Orton into the ropes and stands over his back applying pressure. Christian jumps over the top rope and connects with a big right hand to Orton. Orton with a close roll up. Christian fires back with a spinebuster. Christian going for the Killswitch. Orton counters. Orton clotheslines Christian to the outside and goes over the top rope as well. Both are back in the ring. Christian dodges an RKO attempt. Christian with a big boot, Orton counters a dropkick attempt into another roll up for a close two count. Orton with a Lou Thesz Press and Christian rolls away quickly to the ring apron. Christian counters Orton’s DDT from the ropes. Orton catches Christian with a dropkick as he springboards out from the corner. Christian drops Orton’s head off the top rope. They exchange right hands with Christian sitting on the top turnbuckle. Orton jumps up with Christian, Christian pushes Orton away and connects with a flying headbutt. Christian hooks the leg and Orton kicks out after two and a half. Christian counters another RKO attempt. Orton with a series of clotheslines. Christian counters an RKO and connects with the Killswitch. 1…2…Orton barely gets a shoulder up. Christian is shocked. We see a replay and just how close it was. Christian is backing up in the corner ready for a Spear. Orton jumps over Christian dodging the Spear. Orton has Christian up for a gutwrench powerbomb and then comes down connecting with a reverse neckbreaker. Orton covers Christian and Christian kicks out. Orton is shocked. Orton is backed up in the corner. Orton instead connects with a quick powerslam. Orton with a DDT on Christian from the ropes. Orton counted along with the referee for his five count. Christian dodges an RKO attempt. Christian spits in Orton’s face from the corner. Orton tackles Christian and gets in some big right hands. Orton is pissed. When Christian stands up, Orton gives him a low blow kick to the groin and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner and NEW WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Christian

After the match, Randy Orton realizes what he just did. Orton then loses his cool and attacks Christian at ringside. Orton tosses Christian up on the spanish announce table and gives him an RKO. Teddy Long is at ringside trying to calm down Orton. We see a replay of the finish of the match leading to the DQ finish.

Back live, Randy Orton is still pissed and is kicking things around ringside. Orton makes his way back to the spanish announce table and drags a lifeless Christian on top. Orton has a crazy look on his face as he gives Christian a second RKO over the table. Orton yells down at Christian saying he is nothing. He heads up the ramp and stops to look back. Chicago crowd is on fire chanting “ONE MORE TIME.” Orton heads to the back. At ringside, we see Christian trying to recover. They show more replays of Christian spitting in Orton’s face and then Orton’s post-match attack. Back live, Christian is being helped up the ramp and to the back.

Another promo for WWE Summerslam airs.

The crowd is calling for CM Punk. Huge boo’s for Cena when his graphic hits the screen. HUGE cheers for Punk when his graphic hits the screen. A video package runs focusing on CM Punk’s recent antics and his match with John Cena tonight for the WWE Championship.

If CM Punk walks out WWE Champion, John Cena is fired

The reaction to CM Punk in Chicago during his entrance was huge. Words can’t describe. Huge negative reaction for John Cena. Cena didn’t do the normal theatrics and simply walked slowly down to the ring. He stood in the middle of the ring with his head down holding up the WWE Championship. Punk is standing at ringside with Colt Cabana sitting ringside behind him.

We got ring introductions for the challenger CM Punk and champion John Cena.

The bell rings and here we go. Punk with a headlock. Cena counters with a snapmare into a headlock of his own. Punk goes for a head kick and Cena drops down to dodge it. The crowd starts a “YOU CAN’T WRESTLE” chant. Punk stops and goes, “Me?” The crowd boo’s and when Punk points to Cena they cheer. Cena with a takedown and gets in a modified armbar. Cena keeps working over Punk’s left arm and then connects with a shoulder tackle after hitting the ropes. Cena with a headlock takedown on Punk. Punk with a hip toss and dropkick combo. Punk with a headlock takedown of his own. Punk with a shoulder tackle. Punk mocks Cena doing the “YOU CAN’T SEE ME” gesture. Counters between the two and we get a pause in the action. Punk with big kicks to the body of Cena. Cena with a bulldog on Punk. Cena goes for a loose guillotine choke when Punk tries to get up. Cena levels Punk with a huge clothesline and then goes back to the headlock. Punk breaks out with a back suplex. Cena with a snap suplex on Punk from the corner. Punk counters an AA with a quick DDT. Punk keeps the action grounded applying a triangle choke around Cena’s neck. Cena lifts Punk up on his shoulders. Punk with elbows to the top of Cena’s head and then dumps him to the outside. Punk slaps hands with Colt Cabana. Cole and Lawler referred to Cabana as a fan. Punk props Cena up on the ring apron chest down and then Punk drops a knee over the back of Cena’s neck. Cena goes for a cover and Cena kicks out after two. Punk crashes shoulder first into the corner when Cena moves out of the way. Punk comes back giving Cena a quick snapmare into a headlock. Cena with a kick and right hand to Punk. Punk catches Cena with a big boot in the corner and connects with a snapmare crossbody. Cena rolls to the ring apron. Punk attempts a suplex over the top rope back in the ring, but Cena counters and gives Punk a suplex over the top rope to the floor outside.

We see a replay and Punk landed with a thud on the outside. Back in the ring, Cena gives Punk another snap suplex. Cena hits the ropes and drops a quick elbow to the chest. Cena goes for an AA, Punk counters up top, but Cena still hits a modified powerbomb. Cena with the cover and Punk kicks out. Cena with jabs to Punk. Punk comes back with a right hand. More rights from Punk that daze Cena. Cena with an abdominal stretch on Punk. Punk counters with a hip toss. Double clothesline. Both men are down. Cena is up first with flying shoulder blocks. Punk counters Cena’s twisting powerbomb with a close roll up. Punk misses his high knee in the corner. Cena executes the twisting powerbomb. Cena calls for the five knuckle shuffle and Punk rakes the eyes. Cena falls out and Punk connects with a suicide dive to Cena. Punk tosses Cena back in the ring, springboards off the top rope and misses his flying clothesline attempt when Cena moves out of the way. Cena connects with five knuckle shuffle. Cena has Punk up for the AA. Punk counters landing almost on his feet and then on the mat. Punk with a series of kicks and a trip up. Punk has Cena up. Cena counters with a quick gutwrench powerbomb that he didn’t seem to get much of. Cover and Punk kicks out. Punk with two knees to the chin of Cena as Cena is up against the ropes. Punk connects with his springboard clothesline. Punk covers Cena and Cena gets a shoulder up after two. We see replays of Punk’s big knees to the jaw of Cena. Punk with big kicks to the chest of Cena. Cena trips up Punk and gets the STF applied. Punk is screaming out in pain. Punk is crawling towards the bottom rope. Punk gets to the rope. Cena breaks the hold. Punk is up and catches Cena with a big kick to the head. Punk with the cover and Cena again gets a shoulder up. Punk is going up top. Punk connects with a crossbody, but Cena rolls through and Punk counters an AA. Cena counters the GTS.

Cena gets the STF applied while countering the GTS. Cena breaks it up and pulls Punk back to the middle of the ring. Punk looks to tap. Punk screams no. Punk counters locking the head of Cena and then applies a modified triangle choke. Punk wrenches back on Cena. Cena fights to his feet. Cena sits up and hits the AA out of no where. Cena hooks the leg. Punk kicks out. Crowd in Chicago goes crazy. Cena is going up top. Cena jumps and Punk counters grabbing Cena and powerbombing him down to the mat. Punk hooks the leg. Cena kicks out. Punk fires up the crowd and signals for the GTS. Punk has Cena up, but Cena grabs the ropes and drops Punk off the top rope. Cena is back up top and connects with a flying leg drop. Cena hooks the leg. Punk still kicks out. Cena can’t believe it. Cena has Punk up. Cena connects with the AA. Cena hooks the leg and Punk again kicks out. Cena stands up and is shocked. Cena checks with the referee about the count. Cena props Punk up on the top turnbuckle. Cena is attempting an AA from the top. Punk with huge elbows to Cena up top. Punk with a huricanrana on Cena from the top turnbuckle. Cena rolls to the other corner. Punk pulls Cena out and hits the GTS, but Punk catches Cena in the chest/ribs instead of the chin. Cena rolls to the outside. Punk rolls out and tosses Cena back in the ring. Vince McMahon and WWE VP of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis are walking down the ramp and stop. Punk turns back and gives them a glare. Cena trips up Punk going for the STF. As Cena starts to lock it on, Vince is calling for the bell. Laurinaitis runs near the ring and Cena jumps out knocking him out. Cena yells at Vince saying, “Not that way.” Cena slides back in the ring and Punk hits him with the GTS. Punk gets the pinfall.

Winner and NEW WWE Champion: CM Punk

After the match, CM Punk is still sitting down as he is handed the WWE Championship. He holds up the title and looks at Vince McMahon smiling. Vince is furious. Punk stands up on the corner raising the title in the air. Vince grabs Lawler’s headset and says to cut the music. He calls for Del Rio to get out here right now. Del Rio is running out with the briefcase. When he hits the ring, Punk drops him with a big kick. Punk smiles at Vince, blows him a kiss from the ring barricade and takes off into the crowd at the Allstate Arena in Chicago. Punk is at the top of the stands in the crowd holding up the WWE Championship with Vince looking on in disgust. The PPV goes off the air with Punk heading into the backstage area of the arena as we fade to black with a shot of Vince looking down upset.
