The WWE opening promo plays.

A video package opens the show looking back at the history of the Survivor Series. We then focus on The Rock and John Cena teaming up for the first time ever and for one night only.

A graphic opening hits welcoming us to the 25th annual Survivor Series. We go live to New York City inside Madison Square Garden where a huge display of pyro goes off. Michael Cole is the first to welcome us to the sold out show.

John Laurinaitis walks out and welcomes everyone to the show. He talks about how tonight is his 10th anniversary with WWE. Jerry Lawler adds, “Thanks for the buzzkill!”

John Morrison is out first to kick off the show.

WWE United States Championship
Dolph Ziggler (c) w/ Vickie Guerrero vs. John Morrison

A loud “WE WANT RYDER” chant breaks out. Ziggler drops Morrison quickly, gets in a few slaps and then rolls out quickly when Morrison goes on the attack. Michael Cole acknowledges the Ryder chants talking about Ryder’s Twitter petition to get a title shot against Ziggler. We now have “WE WANT RYDER – WOO WOO WOO” chants as Ziggler beats down Morrison in the corner. Ziggler catches Morrison with a huge dropkick out of the corner. Morrison clotheslines Ziggler to the outside and then connects with a twisting dive over the top rope. Ziggler with a quick neckbreaker using the ropes with an assist from Vickie at ringside. Ziggler drops a flying elbow and then flips back up quickly yelling, “How good I am!?” Another loud “WE WANT RYDER” chant starts up as Ziggler has Morrison down in a headlock. Morrison attempts a comeback and Ziggler drops him back down. Morrison with a big charge sending Ziggler into the corner. Ziggler with a reverse suplex dropping Morrison on his face out of the corner for a two count. Morrison dodges a Zig Zag attempt. Morrison with clotheslines, side kick and a swinging neckbreaker for a two count. Morrison with a springboard kick to the face. Ziggler with a sleeper on Morrison. Morrison counters into a sleeper of his own. Fans are booing offense from Morrison. Morrison with a quick tornado DDT. Vickie puts Ziggler’s foot on the bottom rope during the pinfall. The referee catches her and sends her to the back. Vickie throws a fit and heads to the back. Series of pinfall attempts between the two. Ziggler with a fameasser and gets a close two count. Morrison with a knee to the head and drags Ziggler to the corner. Ziggler gets his knees up during a Starship Pain attempt. Morrison with the Zig Zag and that is it.

Winner and still WWE United States Champion: Dolph Ziggler

After the match, Vickie Guerrero runs back down to the ring and celebrates with Dolph Ziggler. Vickie grabs the United States Championship away from the referee and hands it to Ziggler who celebrates up on the turnbuckle. We then see highlights of the match leading to the finish. Vickie grabs the mic and yells, “EXCUSE ME!” She hands the mic to Ziggler. Ziggler says no one does it like him and that it isn’t being a show off if he is really good at what he does. The fans chant for Zack Ryder. Ziggler says Ryder isn’t here.

Zack Ryder’s music hits and he storms into the ring. Huge reaction. Ziggler cuts off Ryder. Ryder recovers and takes out Ziggler with his Rough Ryder. Ryder pumps his fist and the sold out MSG chants along, “WOO…WOO…WOO!” Huge reaction for Ryder tonight as Ziggler and Vickie head to the back.

WWE Divas Championship – Lumberjill Match
Beth Phoenix (c) vs. Eve Torres

Beth drops Eve right away. Eve teases a moonsault, but Beth rolls out. The babyface Divas toss Beth back in. Eve with a standing moonsault. The heel Divas try to pull Eve outside from the ring apron. She is able to kick them away, but Beth goes on the attack. Beth then catapults Eve into the bottom rope. Eve counters Beth and connects with a dropkick. Beth gets her knees up during a body splash attempt. Eve counters another Glam Slam and locks in a modified triangle choke. The heel Divas distract Eve allowing Beth to get a close rollup. Eve with a close rollup as well. Eve with a big kick to the head of Beth. Eve goes up top and Beth drops her over the top rope. Beth locks the arms of Eve up top and connects with a Glam Slam from the top rope! Eve lands with a thud. Beth gets the pinfall.

Backstage, we see CM Punk. David Otunga walks up with a message from John Laurinaitis. He talks about Punk attacking Michael Cole last week. Punk said Cole is a dork that got what he deserved. Otunga says Laurinaitis wants Punk to apologize to Cole before his match tonight. Punk says he will think about it…right after he beats Alberto Del Rio to become the new WWE Champion.

Backstage, we see a shot of The Rock with a mic in hand. Loud “ROCKY” chant starts up. He talks about watching his grandfather compete inside MSG and his debut in the same arena in 1996. Rock talks about his many catchphrases and his rise up the ranks in WWF/WWE all leading to his return to New York City tonight. He directs his attention to The Miz and R-Truth simply saying: boots to asses. Rock then talks about his tag team partner tonight, John Cena. He tells Cena that he doesn’t come alone and will bring 17,000 strong tonight inside MSG shoving a “lightning bolt right up his lady parts.” The crowd starts a “LADY PARTS” chant. Rock sings “New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra. Rock promises boots to asses tonight.

Team Barrett (Wade Barrett, Jack Swagger, WWE United States Champion Dolph Ziggler, Hunico and WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes) vs. Team Orton (Randy Orton, Sheamus, Sin Cara, WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston and Mason Ryan)

We start with Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler drops Kofi with a big dropkick the face. Tag to Randy Orton. Orton with an RKO on Ziggler. Orton pulls Ziggler to his corner and gets the pinfall.

Dolph Ziggler has been eliminated.

Orton tosses Barrett and Rhodes over the top rope. Team Orton jumps in clearing house. Sin Cara takes out Hunico and Kofi takes out Swagger over the top rope. Sin Cara is favoring his knee. We see a replay and it looks like Cara got caught up in the ropes during his dive. Booker T says it looks like Cara hyperextended his knee. We see a replay where Cara clearly hit the ropes first and fell badly on his ankle/knee. Hunico took a bump anyway. They announce Sin Cara has been eliminated.

Sin Cara has been eliminated.

We now start with Orton and Cody Rhodes. Orton tags in Mason Ryan who drives Rhodes into the corner with force. We see a shot of WWE officials helping Cara up and to the back. Rhodes bails out of the ring to avoid more offense from Ryan. Tag to Hunico who is tossed in the ring by Ryan. Tag to Kofi who leaps over the top rope and stomps over Hunico. Hunico tosses Kofi up to the corner and Kofi bounces off head first. Tag to Barrett who works over the back of Kofi. Barrett grounds Kofi with a headlock. Kofi with a quick and both connect with a double clothesline. Tag back to Ryan and Hunico. Ryan with a series of backdrops and then tosses Hunico back in a huge fallaway slam. Ryan lifts up Hunico and drops him over his chest. Tag to Rhodes who hits a springboard kick to the face of Ryan as Ryan had Hunico in a full nelson. Rhodes with his swinging facebuster finisher on Ryan for the pinfall.

Mason Ryan has been eliminated.

Loud chant for Rhodes as Sheamus enters. Sheamus with big forearms to the back of Rhodes. Sheamus with forearm shots to the chest of Rhodes up against the ropes. Rhodes pulls the ropes down and Sheamus falls to the ring apron. Sheamus takes out Barrett and then Rhodes kicks Sheamus outside. Barrett drops Sheamus with a clothesline on the outside. Barrett, now the legal man, tosses Sheamus back in the ring and mounts him dropping some right hands. Barrett tags in Hunico and holds Sheamus allowing Hunico to hit a quick kick to the chest. Sheamus with a back body drop on Hunico. Tag to Kofi who takes out Barrett with a series of clotheslines. Kofi with a Boom Drop over Barrett. Kofi catches Barrett with a kick to the head. Kofi kicks Swagger on the ring apron. Barrett then catches Kofi with a big boot into the ropes. Barrett grabs Kofi and connects with Wasteland. Kofi is eliminated.

Kofi Kingston has been eliminated.

Orton jumps in and goes on the attack on Barrett. Barrett counters a DDT attempt and tosses Orton to the outside. Hunico gets the tag and connects with a suicide dive on Orton. Hunico tosses Orton back in and tags in Swagger. Swagger with a few elbows to the back of Orton. Tag to Rhodes who hits a snapmare and then connects with right hands. Rhodes locks in the left arm of Orton in his legs and wrenches back with a crossface. Orton counters a bulldog from Rhodes launching Rhodes across the ring. Sheamus gets the tag and drops fists over Swagger who gets the tag. Sheamus with a clothesline to Swagger in the corner. Sheamus with a big shoulder block off the top on Swagger. Sheamus tosses Hunico over the top rope. Sheamus plants Swagger on the mat. Sheamus knocks away Rhodes. Sheamus goes for the Celtic Cross, but breaks it and takes out Barrett trying to interfere. Sheamus starts dropping knees over the head of Swagger repeatedly. The referee tells him to break it up. Sheamus keeps going and the referee DQ’s Sheamus.

Sheamus has been disqualified and is now eliminated.

Sheamus is upset and takes out Swagger with a Brouge Kick. Orton crawls over and covers Swagger for the pinfall.

Jack Swagger has been eliminated.

Rhodes goes after Orton in the corner stomping away. Rhodes with more rights and stomps to Orton. Orton is the last member of his team left. Barrett, Rhodes and Hunico remain. Rhodes mocks Orton doing his pose over him in the corner. Orton explodes on Rhodes, Barrett and Hunico with a series of clotheslines. Orton with his DDT on Rhodes using the ropes. Barrett distracts Orton. Hunico springboards off the top rope and Orton catches him with an RKO.

Hunico has been eliminated.

Orton drops Barrett over his back. Orton with an RKO on Rhodes. Barrett with Wasteland on Orton. Barrett hooks the leg and gets the win.

Randy Orton has been eliminated.

Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes are the sole survivors.

Winners: Team Barrett

After the match, Michael Cole says that Sin Cara suffered a “ruptured patella tendon” earlier in the match.

Backstage, WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio is talking with The Bella Twins when John Laurinaitis walks up. Laurinaitis asks him if he is taking tonight seriously. Del Rio says absolutely and he won’t lose his title to a guy that looks like he should be sleeping on the sidewalk. He walks away and Laurinaitis pulls out his cell phone texting away.

Back live, we see WWE officials taking measures to reinforce the ring. A video package runs hyping Mark Henry vs. Big Show.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Mark Henry (c) vs. Big Show

We get ring introductions for the challenger Big Show and champion Mark Henry.

The bell rings and we get a lock up. Big Show pushes Mark Henry away with ease. Second lock up and Henry pushes Big Show away into the ropes. Big Show locks up with Henry, tosses him down and Henry bails to the outside. Big Show with a quick takedown dropping Henry over the ring. Henry charges at Big Show and Big Show pulls off an arm drag. Henry falls to the outside and slaps the ring in frustration. Henry walks back in and Big Show comes in with some shots as Henry backs to the corner. The referee breaks it up with a five count. Henry complains that he was holding the ropes when Big Show attacked. Henry with a chop block to the knee of Big Show. Henry then picks up and drops Big Show’s knee over the mat. Henry drops an elbow and his body over the knee of Big Show. Henry locks on and pulls back with force. Big Show gets his leg over to break it up. Henry then drops Big Show with a big clothesline. We have a loud “BORING” chant start up. Big Show with a DDT on Henry to quiet the MSG crowd. Big Show with a charge and shoulder block combo to Henry. Big Show calls for the chokeslam. Henry kicks away at Big Show and drops him with a quick World’s Strongest Slam. Henry covers and Big Show kicks out. Henry hits the ropes and splashes over Big Show. Another cover and Big Show again kicks out. Henry drops a big elbow over the chest of Big Show and Big Show again kicks out. Henry with a quick kick to the head of Big Show. Big Show rolls out and Henry sends him face first into the steel ring post. Henry backs up, charges and shoulder tackles Big Show through the timekeepers wall. Henry rolls back in the ring and the referee starts the count. Big Show reaches the ring at the count of 9. Big Show backs up to the corner and catches Henry with a superkick to the jaw! Big Show goes to the ring apron and starts climbing up the top turnbuckle. MSG crowd cheers him on. Big Show has one foot up. He gets both feet up and connects with a flying elbow drop! Big Show with the cover and Henry gets a shoulder up. The crowd starts a “RANDY SAVAGE” chant. Big Show misses his knockout punch and Henry hits him with a blatant low blow kick. The referee calls for the bell.

Winner and still WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Mark Henry

After the match, Mark Henry grabs his WWE World Heavyweight Championship from the referee. Henry then leaves the ring and gets a steel chair. Henry chases off the referee with the chair when he gets back in. Henry kicks Big Show in the face and then puts the chair over his ankle. Henry climbs up the corner, stands on the second rope, jumps back and Big Show moves out of the way just in time. Big Show breaks free and drops Henry with a knockout punch. A loud “DANIEL BRYAN” chant starts up. Big Show then grabs the steel chair and puts Henry’s ankle in it. Big Show then drops a leg over the chair. Henry starts rolling around in pain. WWE officials hit the ring and start attending to Henry who is screaming out in pain. Big Show heads to the back. We then see highlights of the match and after the match. Back live, Henry is telling WWE officials to leave him alone. Henry goes, “Oh my god. It is broke. Move it again and I will punch you. STOP! STOP!”

Backstage, Matt Striker is with Wade Barrett asking what is next for him after tonight’s big win. Barrett said he proved tonight he is unstoppable and wants to become England’s first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The Miz and R-Truth walk up interrupting him. Miz said the biggest problem with WWE is the focus is on the wrong people. Truth said they should be on a billboard in Times Square.

A video package runs hyping Alberto Del Rio vs. CM Punk.

CM Punk requested that WWE Hall of Famer Howard Finkel do his ring introduction. Big reaction for Finkel. Huge reaction for Punk.

The bell rings and here we go. The crowd starts a “WE WANT ICE CREAM” chant. Punk smiles. Quick knock down by Punk. Del Rio with a headlock takedown. Punk with a quick arm drag into an armbar. Punk drives his knee into the back of Del Rio. Del Rio bails when Punk tries to work over his arm again. Del Rio backs Punk into the corner and lands a quick kick to the body. Punk with a hip toss and dropkick combo. Del Rio rolls out. Punk with a suicide dive to Del Rio. Punk tosses Del Rio back in, goes up top and connects with a crossbody. Punk tries to work over Del Rio’s left arm again, but Del Rio sends Punk into the ropes to break it up. Ricardo with a cheap shot on the outside. Punk chases after him. Del Rio with a dropkick through the ropes catching Punk as he ran by. Del Rio tosses Punk back in and comes off the top with a big splash. Del Rio counters GTS and grounds Punk dropping knees to the arm. Punk catches Del Rio with a boot, but Del Rio responds right away with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Del Rio with another shot to Punk’s head from the top rope. Del Rio misses a charge at Punk and falls through the ropes to the outside. Del Rio drops Punk’s head off the top rope. Punk with kicks and right hands to Del Rio. Punk with a swinging neckbreaker for a two count. Punk with a knee to the jaw and running bulldog combo. Punk springboards off the top rope and catches Del Rio with a big clothesline for another two count. Del Rio counters GTS with a backcracker. Punk with a close rollup. Del Rio with a kick to the head of Punk in the corner. Del Rio drops Punk’s arm off his knees. Del Rio puts Punk up on the top turnbuckle. Punk with two big headbutts that send Del Rio back to the mat. Punk remains up top and the crowd in MSG cheers him on. Punk stands up and Del Rio crotches him. Del Rio with a huge kick to the left arm of Punk. Del Rio misses a charge when Punk lifts himself up. Punk with a flying elbow drop that results in a close two count. Crowd starts another loud “RANDY SAVAGE” chant. Punk signals for GTS. Del Rio counter. Punk counters. Del Rio counters into his flying armbar. Punk screams out in pain. Punk gets his boots on the bottom rope. The referee forces Del Rio to break the hold. Punk favors his left arm. Del Rio is shocked that Punk got to the ropes. Del Rio counters antoher GTS attempt. Punk takes out Ricardo on the ring apron. Del Rio with a rollup for a close two count. Punk with a kick to Del Rio’s head. Del Rio gets a shoulder up. Punk gets the Anaconda Vice locked in. Del Rio taps.

After the match, CM Punk leaves the ring and dives into the crowd in celebration.

The Rock and John Cena vs. The Miz and R-Truth

We start with The Rock and The Miz. The bell rings and we get a stare down as the crowd chants “ROCKY” loudly. Headlock, Rock with a shoulder bock and a huge arm drag on Miz and Truth repeatedly. Rock dumps Truth out and shows some crazy skills with an awesome rollup combo on Miz who kicks out and bails to the outside in frustration. Rock then turns and stares down a surprised John Cena. A loud “YOU STILL GOT IT” chant starts up. Miz and Truth return to the ring apron as Miz gets in. Truth wants in. Rock says to bring it. Tag to Truth. Headlock by Rock. Series of counters by Rock. Rock drops Truth with a big right hand and does the same to Miz on the ring apron. Rock with a suplex on Truth into a bridge. Cena hits the ring and knocks Miz off the corner. The referee is distracted by Cena. Rock breaks the pin and gets in Cena’s face. Miz wants back in. Miz gets the tag. Loud “BOOTS TO ASSES” chant starts up. Miz says he wants Cena now. Rock tags in Cena. Cena with a series of snapmares on Miz, monkey flip and dropkick combo on Miz. The crowd chants “YOU STILL SUCK” at Cena. Rock yells at Cena to listen. Truth gets the tag, pushes Cena away and mocks him. Cena with shoulder blocks and his twisting powerbomb. Cena calls for the five knuckle shuffle, but looks at Rock with the you can’t see me. Rock steps inside the ring. Truth drops Cena with a clothesline. Tag to Miz who kicks Cena in the face after hitting the ropes. Truth gets the tag as Truth and Miz double team Cena. Truth sends Cena into the corner and Cena falls out hitting the steel ring post. We have a “LET’S GO CENA – CENA SUCKS” chant. Truth grounds Cena when he returns to the ring. Truth sends Cena out of the ring, tosses him back in and gets a two count after a cover. Tag to Miz. Miz with a big DDT on Cena. Miz taunts Rock as he waits for Cena to get back up. Miz with a corner clothesline on Cena. Truth with a cheap shot on Cena. Tag to Truth as Miz and Truth give Cena a double suplex. Booker T is calling Rock selfish on commentary. Truth pushes Cena to Miz’s corner as Rock reached for a tag. Tag to Miz who works over Cena with left hands. Cena fights back, drops Truth on the corner and then takes a clothesline from Miz. Quick tag to Truth who drops an elbow over Cena. Truth drops a big leg over Cena. Truth goes up top, jumps, Cena catches Truth, rolls through, throws Truth over his head, Truth lands and plants Cena with a front suplex. Cover and Cena gets a shoulder up. Tag to Miz who kicks Cena in the face. Miz taunts at Rock. Miz with another kick to Cena’s face and continues to taunt Rock to come in. Miz misses a third kick and Cena gets the STF locked in on Miz. Truth breaks it up. Tag to Truth. Cena with an AA on Truth. Rock wants the tag. Miz runs in and drops Rock off the ring apron with a big left hand. Truth drops Rock on the outside with a big clothesline. Truth then drops Rock chest first over the barricade. In the ring, Miz has Cena in a headlock. Rock jumps in and the referee holds him back. Miz taunts at Rock. Miz and Truth drop Cena face first on the mat with a big double team move. Truth gets the tag and keeps Cena grounded. Truth misses a leg drop. Hot tag to Rock. Rock with rights to Miz, kick and DDT. Rights to Truth by Rock. Rock Bottom on Truth. Rock with the Sharpshooter on Miz. Miz screams in pain. Miz reaches out. Truth breaks it up planting Rock face first. Cena jumps in tackling Truth to the outside. Miz with left hands to Rock. Rock plants Miz with a spinebuster when Miz hits the ropes. Rock with the People’s Elbow on Miz. Rock gets the pinfall.

Winners: The Rock and John Cena

After the match, The Rock gets up on the turnbuckle and salutes the crowd. We see a shot of John Cena clapping from the end of the ramp. Rock and Cena start yelling at each other. Rock calls for the music to stop. He tells Cena to take a salute up on the turnbuckle. Cena does so and we get a mix of cheering and booing. Rock tells Cena to listen. Rock takes the corner and gets a huge reaction. Cena takes the corner and he gets more booing. Rock shakes his head. Rock says we will do this one more time. Rock takes the corner and gets a big reaction. Rock looks back at Cena staring him down. Cena starts yelling at Rock. Rock and Cena are face to face. Rock with a Rock Bottom on Cena. Cena rolls out of the ring and up the ramp holding his lower back. Cena takes a knee staring down Rock and then stands up heading to the back. When Cena heads to the back, Rock takes a bow and thanks MSG. Rock takes the corner again saluting the crowd as the PPV goes off the air.
