CMLL Holds Meeting
Following Texano Jr. and Hector Garza leaving CMLL the Wrestling Observer reports that the company held a meeting with talent on 12/02 where they told the talent that they don’t want anyone that’s unhappy being there. They told the wrestlers that if they wanted to leave they could, contract or not. They also told the wrestlers there was to be no more “dancing or fooling around” in the ring because they were a “serious wrestling product” not like the circuses in the other promotions. Averno stood up in the meeting and asked management why they weren’t doing more long-term storylines and why so many stories were simply blown off quickly. He was told that it’s the way the company is now, they are not attempting to sell long-term stories. To say that many are unhappy in the oldest wrestling promotion in the world is an understatement.
Toscano Leaves CMLL
The newest CMLL star to jump ship is Toscano who popped up at a AAA Press Conference on Thursday and announced that he was joining Perros del Mal and AAA. This loss hurts CMLL a lot less than Texano and Garza but it’s a trend that continues to be growing at an alarming rate.

– This show was filmed for the ending of AAA’s Reality Show to find new stars. Matches 1-7 were matches featuring those stars. Then they announced the Finalists which were Kristal, Reyna Azteca, Tarahumara, Magnifica, Concord, Lucky Boy, Barbaro I, Barbaro II, Samurai del Sol, Chica YeYe, Septimo Dragon, Bogart, Bogart Jr., Tony Rodriguez, El Gauson, Daga, Dinastia, & Drastik Boy. Then Matches 8-11 were matches featuring those Finalists. During the Main Event the judges (Konnan, Octagon, & Silver Kain) got together to pick the winners of the contest. Those winners were 3 starts, one male, one mini, and one woman wrestler.
– The winners were Daga (male), La Magnifica (female), and Dinastia (mini). All 3 won a belt (for a trophy) and a AAA contract! Dinastia is the cousin of Lucha legend Super Crazy and is VERY young (only 17 years old). Daga is a great young up and coming star so him being one of the winners is no surprise. La Magnficia is the daughter of old school lucha star Gran Cochisse.
