– The WWE promo hits.

– A video package runs highlighting the new concept of Breaking Point featuring Submission matches. It transitions into promoting the top matches on the card tonight and asks who will have a breaking point tonight?

– We go live to the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada where a series of pyro goes off.

– The show kicks off with WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show.

WWE Unified Tag Team Championships
Chris Jericho & Big Show (c’s) vs. Mark Henry & MVP

We start with Chris Jericho and MVP. MVP gets in a quick kick on Jericho who backs off and rolls out of the ring. MVP smiles at him and does another kick in the air. Jericho returns to the ring, they lock up and MVP throws Jericho into the corner. They shove each other a few times and MVP gets in some rights. MVP with a big hip toss and underhook toss into a cover that results in a two count. Mark Henry gets in a cheap shot on Jericho when he got up in the corner. MVP tosses Jericho into the opposite corner and hits a few shoulder charges. Jericho gets in a right hand dropping MVP. Jericho with more rights and MVP drops Jericho face first on the mat followed by a neckbreaker. MVP with the cover and Jericho kicks out after two. Mark Henry gets the tag and Jericho backs away quickly and tags in Big Show. Lock up and neither move. Henry flexes at Big Show. Big Show wants a test of strength, Henry agrees and Big Show gets in a big kick and punches. Big Show attempts a jumping body splash in the corner, but Henry catches Big Show in mid air and tosses him back into the corner! Henry with a body splash on Big Show after an irish whip to the other corner. Henry has Big Show up for a bodyslam and Jericho jumps in with the referee distract to trip up Henry.

Big Show falls over Henry, covers and gets a close two count. Big Show tosses Henry to the corner near Jericho who gets in some cheap shots with the referee distracted. Big Show chokes Henry with his boot in the corner and then tags in Jericho. Jericho attempts shoulder charges on Henry in the corner and Henry tosses him away. Jericho comes back in and gets in more shots tagging in Big Show who hits a big right hand to the stomach of Henry. Big Show and Henry collide in the middle of the ring with a big double clothesline. Cole notes that nearly 1,000 pounds just dropped on the ring at the same time. Tags to MVP and Jericho. MVP with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex on Jericho and some shots in the corner. MVP floats over Jericho and hits a jumping clothesline. MVP with a knee to the face and hits the BALLIN’ elbow drop. Cover by MVP and Jericho kicks out at two. Jericho then drops MVP down and attempts a Walls of Jericho. MVP flips out of it, Big Show gets in a blind tag, MVP drops Jericho and Big Show takes out MVP with a huge spear. Big Show has MVP up in a modified guillotine choke. Big Show drops MVP down and tags in Jericho. Jericho kicks MVP in the ribs a few times. Jericho then stands over MVP and poses with one arm in the air as the fans boo.

MVP reaches out to tag in Henry, but Jericho drops down and locks in a chin lock. MVP fights to his feet, gets in a few rights on Jericho, gets in a small package and Jericho kicks out after two. MVP with another big clothesline on Jericho. MVP reaches out and gets close to tagging in Henry, but Jericho drops an elbow over the back of MVP to prevent it. Jericho tosses MVP head first into the corner nearby and then chokes MVP with his boot. MVP counters a hip toss attempt from Jericho landing on his feet and then hits a big DDT on Jericho in an impressive spot. Hot tag to Henry who levels Jericho with a clothesline and a rake of the eyes. Jericho goes up top, jumps, Henry catches him and press slams Jericho back on his chest. Henry with a body splash over Jericho. Big Show makes the save. With the referee distracted, Big Show hits a knockout punch on Henry after Henry threw Jericho away who attempted a Codebreaker. Jericho covers Henry and gets the pinfall.

Winners & STILL WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: Chris Jericho & Big Show

– Backstage, Josh Mathews is with Legacy. Rhodes and DiBiase said they will make DX tap for the first time ever. DiBiase said they represent the future, while DX represents the past.

Kofi Kingston (c) vs. The Miz

Before the match, The Miz cut a promo saying he was awesome in French.

The bell rings and The Miz keeps the action on the ground early on. Kingston with a quick roll up on Miz that results in a close two count. Kingston catches Miz with a big kick and then jumps high in the air into Miz in the corner hitting a few shots. Miz with a jawbreaker on Kingston and quick snap suplex. Kingston with two crossbody’s in a row, Miz tosses Kingston into the ropes, Kingston blocks himself and then levels Miz. Cover by Kingston who gets a close two count. Kingston with a big right hand from the ring apron on Miz. When he attempts to springboard himself in, Miz trips him up and Kingston crashes over the corner. Miz brings Kingston in and catapults him into the bottom rope. Cover by Miz and Kingston quickly kicks out after one. Miz with a big knee to the spine of Kingston and then applies a modified chin lock. Miz catches Kingston with a big boot when Kingston hit the ropes. Miz mounts Kingston and gets in some big left hands. Miz with another big boot to Kingston, hooks the leg and Kingston kicks out after two. Miz is back applying a chin lock when Kingston fights to his feet, gets in a quick kick to the gut, but Miz counters dropping Kingston face first on the mat after lifting him high in the air. Miz with the cover and Kingston kicks out after two. Miz connects with a big kick to the face of Kingston and then chokes him using his knee against the bottom rope. Kingston with shots to Miz. Miz tries to pull Kingston down and Kingston sends Miz through the ropes to the outside. Kingston tries to springboard himself out of the ring, but lands on the ring apron. Miz grabs Kingston by the legs and drops him spine first over the ring apron. Miz tosses Kingston back in the ring, covers and Kingston kicks out after two. Miz goes for the Reality Check, but Kingston blocks it and pushes Miz into the ropes. Kingston then hits the Trouble in Paradise and gets the pinfall.

– A video package airs looking at the events between DX and Legacy.

Submissions Count Anywhere
DX vs. Legacy

Before the match, DX did their usual intro and the fans broke out in a loud “YOU SCREWED BRET” chant. Triple H paused and said he knows an “incident” went down a few years ago here in Montreal and he just wants everyone to one thing – it was all Shawn’s fault.

The bell rings and all four men start brawling. Triple H is with Ted DiBiase, while Shawn Michaels is with Cody Rhodes. HBK drops Rhodes as Rhodes rolls out of the ring. Triple H with a knee to the face on DiBiase and HBK follows it up with a chop block. Rhodes is back in and HBK gives him an atomic drop that Triple H follows up with a chop block of his own. On the outside, HBK chops Rhodes with force and sends him back first into the ring. Near the announce table, Triple H throws DiBiase over the top knee first. HBK tosses Rhodes over the ring barricade into the crowd. HBK and Rhodes are brawling in the crowd. DiBiase leaves where Triple H is and takes out HBK in the crowd. TripleH catches up and goes after Rhodes. Triple H and Rhodes then start heading up the steps in the arena and HBK and DiBiase follow brawling up as well. HBK locks on a front choke on DiBiase, but DiBiase breaks out of it. Triple H and Rhodes are now up the steps and inside the vending areas of the arena. Triple H sends Rhodes face first into the concrete wall and then Triple H follows it up with big right hands. DiBiase then runs and takes out Triple H. Triple H and HBK then apply Figure Four’s on DiBiase and Rhodes. DiBiase rakes the eyes of HBK to break it up and helps Rhodes break free.

All four men start brawling back into the arena and back down the steps. They are now back down near the ringside area and Triple H has Rhodes tied up in a steel chair. Rhodes’ chest is down over the chair and Triple H is locking in a Sharpshooter. HBK then stands over the back of Rhodes and locks in a Camel Clutch. DiBiase then runs forward and breaks that up. In the ring, Triple H plants DiBiase with a big spinebuster. Triple H then drops down and applies a Crossface. Rhodes then runs up and breaks up the submission attempt by Triple H. HBK is soon behind and starts chopping Rhodes. Rhodes tosses HBK over the top rope, HBK holds on, grabs Rhodes by his neck and pulls him over the top rope to the outside. HBK attempts the same on DiBiase, but DiBiase counters out and Rhodes puts HBK up on his shoulder and gets a modified surfboard submission locked in. Triple H sees this and kicks Rhodes from the ring apron to break it up. Triple H then tosses Rhodes shoulder first into the steel ring steps. Triple H is back in the ring, picks up DiBiase and holds him in place. We then go to a shot of HBK and Rhodes heading up near the crowd and HBK tosses Rhodes on top of some electrical boxes near the Breaking Point set.

Rhodes stands up and makes his way into the stands. HBK follows and Rhodes ends up tossing him off the stands into an area below that HBK crashes into. A WWE official screams for some help. Triple H is now nearby and checks on HBK. HBK looks to be out and Triple H takes out both Rhodes and DiBiase. Triple H grabs Rhodes and tosses him up the entrance ramp to the top of the set. Triple H attempts a Pedigree on Rhodes, but DiBiase breaks it up. Triple H gives DiBiase a high back body drop onto the steel ramp and then goes after Rhodes. Triple H and Rhodes are now brawling through the gorilla position into the back. A camera shot appears from backstage with Triple H and Rhodes brawling in the back. DiBiase then appears and takes out Triple H. DiBiase holds Triple H as Rhodes works on him with some big right hands and stomps. Rhodes holds Triple H as DiBiase gets in a big kick to the face. Rhodes screams at Triple H to give up. Triple H kicks him away and sends DiBiase into a wall. Triple H then gives DiBiase a spinebuster ontop a table with catering food on it. Triple H then gets a submission locked on Rhodes, but DiBiase breaks it up hitting Triple H with a cooler. We see a shot of HBK just starting to recover as he gets near the entrance ramp.

Rhodes grabs a steel chair and cracks it over the head of a knocked out Triple H on the concrete floor. Rhodes and DiBiase leave the area and we hear them brawling with HBK leaving the gorilla position into the top of the entrance ramp area back inside the arena. Rhodes and DiBiase grab HBK and start dragging him back down into the ring. They both get in a few shots and toss HBK back inside the ring. They start double teaming. HBK gets in some brief offense, but gets cut off again. HBK then tosses DiBiase out of the ring, goes for Sweet Chin Music on Rhodes, but Rhodes counters into an Ankle Lock. HBK tries to break it grabbing the ropes, but Cole reminds us that won’t do it since it is Submissions Count Anywhere. HBK stands up on one foot and breaks out of the submission. HBK then catches Rhodes with Sweet Chin Music. HBK then gets the Figure Four applied on Rhodes and DiBiase breaks it up. Rhodes hits the corner with his shoulder into the ring post when HBK moves. HBK is brawling with DiBiase and DiBiase gets him up for a spike piledriver with help from Rhodes. HBK kicks Rhodes away and DiBiase falls back. HBK is up, tunes up the band, but Rhodes trips him up and drives HBK into the steel ring post. Rhodes with some big right hands to HBK.

Rhodes then gets a Figure Four applied on HBK against the steel ring post. DiBiase then comes from behind and locks on the Million Dollar Dream on HBK. We see a shot of Triple H rolling down the entrance ramp trying to get to the ring to break it up. HBK taps out and it is over.

Winners: Legacy

After the match, Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes celebrate a big victory. Triple H checks on Shawn Michaels as Legacy heads up the ramp.

– Backstage, we see a shot of WWE Champion Randy Orton watching the match when Josh Mathews walks up asking for his thoughts. Orton said if Mathews wants to talk to him then he needs to take a seat and they can talk. Mathews asks Orton if he has a reaction to Legacy beating DX. Orton said he has no reaction since he knew Legacy would win and that is what they did. Mathews goes to ask another question and Orton cuts him off saying he only wanted one question, not two. Orton says Mathews is someone who says one thing, but believes and says another. He compares Mathews to John Cena promising he will never say the words I Quit. Orton asks how someone could just know and make a promise like that. He promises to assault Orton so bad tonight that his only way out will be to stay I Quit.

– A promo for WWE Hell in a Cell on Sunday, October 4 airs.

Singapore Cane Match
Kane vs. The Great Khali

The match starts with the two brawling back and forth. Kane is the first to get a cane and hits Khali with it. Khali grabs a Kane and tries to push Kane back using it blocking a shot from Kane. Kane with shots the back of Khali using a cane on the outside. Kane drops Khali with even more shots. They brawl back into the ring and Kane is just lighting up Khali with cane shots. Kane is hitting shots on Khali against his arms and legs. Khali finally takes the cane away from Kane and cracks it over Kane’s head. Kane gets another cane and cracks it over Khali’s head three times. Kane with a top rope shot with the cane over Khali, covers and Khali kicks out after two. Ranjin Singh gets involved and Khali checks on him after he gets caught in the crossfire. Kane hits Khali over the back of his head with the cane. Kane hits a chokeslam on Khali and gets the win.

Winner: Kane

– Backstage, WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk talks about how he isn’t afraid of The Undertaker and that Undertaker should really fear him. The lights go out and it Jimmy Wang Yang turned them off. Yang said he was just joking and they shake hands. Punk then beats up Yang.

– Video airs from WWE SummerSlam last month with Christian getting a quick win over William Regal.

ECW Championship
Christian (c) vs. William Regal w/ Vladimir Kozlov & Ezekiel Jackson

Before the match, it is announced that Vladimir Kozlov and Ezekiel Jackson are banned from ringside and if they don’t leave then Regal will forfeit the match.

The bell rings and both lock up. Lots of ground offense early on. Regal puts Christian up top and Christian gets in a few shots and brings Regal down in a big tornado DDT. Christian with a cover and Regal kicks out after two. Regal with a huge forearm to Christian and cover. Christian kicks out after two. Regal then rubs his forearm across the face of Christian. Christian with a Killswitch attempt and Regal counters into a huge back suplex into a pinfall attempt that Striker calls the Regal Plex. Christian fights back with shots the body of Regal. Christian drops Regal with more rights and connects with a shot off the top turnbuckle. Christian drops an elbow over the forehead of Regal and plants him with a big scoop slam. Christian hits the ropes and rocks Regal with a big shot to the face. Christian with a cover and Regal kicks out after two. Christian with a dropkick to the head of Regal off the top. Christian is back up, jumps over Regal, lands, gets in a shot on Regal, goes back up top and Regal swats him away. Regal with a rolling senton on Christian, cover and Christian kicks out after two. Another Killswitch attempt, Regal sends him into the ropes, Christian comes back and connects with the Killswitch. Cover by Christian and he gets the pinfall.

Winner & STILL ECW Champion: Christian

After the match, Christian is handed the ECW Championship. He holds it up high as the fans in Montreal give him a big ovation.

– Backstage, we see a shot of John Cena getting ready for his match tonight.

– Back live, WWE Hall of Famer Pat Patterson is introduced. Patterson takes the mic and addresses the crowd in Montreal in French. He talks about starting in Montreal in 1958 and he is now known worldwide as the first ever Intercontinental Champion. Patterson said he is now proud to introduce…and Dolph Ziggler’s music hits. Dolph Ziggler enters the ring and extends his hand. Patterson said he didn’t need to introduce himself since he knows his name, it is Dolph Ziggler! He said he walked the streets of Montreal last night and guess what, no one asked him about Ziggler. Patterson said Ziggler has a bright future, a lot of talent and said if he was lucky he could become the Intercontinental Champion. He wishes Ziggler good luck and goes to leave when Ziggler stops him. Ziggler says first Bob Barker and now Pat Patterson and wonders when this company started to be taken over by senior citizens. He makes a few old jokes and adds that until he saw Patterson come down to the ring tonight, he figured he was dead. Ziggler insults Patterson and asks why they are wasting valuable PPV time on some old guy that no one remembers. A loud “SHUT THE FU*K UP” chant starts. He jokes that Abraham Lincoln was probably Patterson’s first opponent when he was wrestling. Ziggler then calls Patterson a coward and kicks him in the gut. WWE Intercontinental Champion John Morrison then runs down for the save.

– A video package airs highlighting the events between Randy Orton and John Cena leading into tonight’s “I Quit” match for the WWE Championship.

WWE Championship – I Quit Match
Randy Orton (c) vs. John Cena

Cole and Lawler note that Vince McMahon has ordered that if anyone interferes in this match on behalf of Randy Orton then Orton will be stripped of the WWE Championship.

Some strong crowd reactions for both men in Montreal tonight. The bell rings and both men take in the atmosphere in Montreal. Lock up and Cena gets in a quick suplex on Orton early. Orton ducks to dodge a flying shoulder block charge from Cena. Cena recovers on the ring apron and Orton knocks him off sending Cena flying into the Smackdown announce table. Orton clears the table and grabs a TV monitor. Orton cracks it over the head of Cena and Cena is down. Orton picks up Cena, drags him back into the ring through the ropes, Orton asks the referee to ask him, the referee asks if Cena quits, Cena yells no and then Orton drops Cena in a big DDT off the ropes. Orton leaves the ring, grabs a steel chair and sets it up in the middle of the ring. Orton picks up Cena by his head. Dueling crowd chant in Montreal. Orton attempts another RKO onto the chair, but Cena counters pushing Orton away. Cena hits his twisting powerbomb on Orton and hits the five knuckle shuffle. Cena with an Attitude Adjustment attempt, Orton hangs onto the top rope, pulls himself down and drops Cena’s head off the top rope. On the outside, Orton counters and sends Cena shoulder first into the steel ring steps. Orton picks up the steel steps and cracks it into the head of Cena.

Orton places Cena chest first on top of the bottom steps and stands over him. Orton stomps over the head of Cena on the steel steps. The referee asks Cena and Cena says no. Orton does this a second time and Cena again says no to quitting when the referee asks him. Orton tosses Cena back into the ring and then pulls out a black bag from under the ring. Orton opens up the bag and reveals handcuffs. Orton puts a necklace with the handcuff key around his neck. Orton handcuffs Cena to the top rope and gets in a few right hands sending Cena to the mat. Orton drops his knee over the head of Cena a few times. The referee asks Cena and Cena says no. Orton drags Cena’s handcuffed hand across the top rope and over the top of the steel ring post getting him tied up. Orton then hits Cena with big right hands and shots to the body. Cena has no choice but to take it. Orton grabs a water bottle and pours it over the head of Cena. The referee asks Cena if he wants to quit. Cena spits water in the face of Orton. Orton then goes under the ring and pulls out a singapore cane used earlier tonight. Orton hits Cena with the cane over his chest repeatedly. Orton gets in a shot on Cena’s head and Cena screams out in pain. The referee asks Cena and Cena still says no.

Cena then low blows Orton and breaks free from where he was hung up against the steel ring posts. They do a close up of Cena’s chest and he has welts all over his body from the singapore cane shots. Cena is to his feet and walks towards Orton who turns around and cracks a steel chair over his head. Orton then handcuffs Cena again to the ropes and Orton hits him over the back with the steel chair. The referee asks him again and Cena still says no. Orton tries to hit Cena in the head with the steel chair and Cena dodges it and Orton hits the ring post instead. Cena then catches Orton with a kick when he moves forward and takes the key away from Orton. Cena frees himself from the handcuffs and then handcuffs Orton to himself. Cena hits Orton with some big rights and then throws Orton repeatedly into the announce tables. They slide back into the ring and Cena hits a big back suplex on Orton. Cena with an Attitude Adjustment attempt and Orton counters into an RKO. Orton sees the key in the ring and reaches out, but Cena grabs hold and holds him back. Cena then jumps on Orton and gets the STF locked on pulling Orton’s arm across his face. The referee asks Orton and Orton yells that he quits.

Winner & NEW WWE Champion: John Cena

After the match, we see highlights of the match leading to the finish. Back live, John Cena has the WWE Championship and shows it off as we see a shot of Randy Orton heading up the ramp looking on. Cena takes in his win some more celebrating in the ring and later at the top of the ramp.

– A video package airs highlighting the events at SummerSlam with CM Punk defeating Jeff Hardy to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, The Undertaker’s attack on Punk after that match and the events between Undertaker and Punk on Smackdown leading into tonight’s Submission match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship – Submission Match
CM Punk (c) vs. The Undertaker

Huge reaction for The Undertaker and negative reaction for CM Punk in Montreal.

The bell rings and CM Punk immediately rolls out of the ring when The Undertaker charges forward. Punk gets back in, dodges an attack in the corner from Taker and backs up to the other corner. Punk dodges another splash attempt and hits Taker with some quick kicks and right hands. Taker then grabs Punk and tosses him so hard into the corner that Punk bounces over and hits the outside. Punk quickly runs around the ring, Taker follows and Punk cuts off Taker when he gets inside. Taker fires back with a big clothesline and right hand dropping Punk each time. They show a relay of Punk getting tossed over the top rope from the corner and the look on Punk’s face reacting to it was great. Back live, Taker dumps Punk to the outside through the ropes. Taker catches Punk with a big right hand. Punk tries sending Taker face first into the steel ring post, but he blocks it and catches Punk with a big elbow. Taker then sends Punk back first into the ring barricade with huge force that sees Punk hit with a thud. Taker then charges Punk and misses a big boot when Punk moves. Punk takes advantage and starts kicing Taker repeatedly on the ground. Punk grabs a steel chair, hits Taker in the gut with it and then cracks it over Taker’s head.

Taker rolls back in the ring recovering from the chair shot when Punk runs up and catches him with a high knee. Taker counters a bulldog attempt by Punk and hits a few shoulder blocks to Punk’s chest. Taker repeats this again on Punk. Taker then goes up top and looks to connect with the Old School arm drop, but Punk trips up Taker and Taker crashes over the top turnbuckle. Punk gets in a few shots, goes up with Taker and Taker headbutts him away. Punk is back up and catches Taker with a big kick to the head up top. Punk grabs Taker and hits a huge superplex off the top. Punk with kicks to the body of Taker. Taker fires back with right hands. The two exchange shots with Punk hitting kicks and Taker hitting right hands. Taker gets the better of Punk sending him into the corner and hitting a clothesline splash. Taker with snake eyes and a big boot combo on Punk capped off by a leg drop. Taker calls for a chokeslam as Punk slowly gets to his feet. Taker has Punk ready for a chokeslam when Punk catches Taker with a HUGE kick to the head. Very impressive spot there. Punk drops down over Taker and Taker locks in the Hell’s Gate (gogoplata). Punk starts tapping out right away and it is over.

Winner & NEW WWE World Heavyweight Champion: The Undertaker

After the match, The Undertaker is handed the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and begins to celebrate. Undertaker goes to take a knee and celebrate more when Teddy Long’s music hits. Long reminds us that when Vickie Guerrero was the GM of Smackdown, she banned the Hell’s Gate and the match will now continue.

MATCH CONTINUES…

The bell rings and here we go again. Punk attacks Taker from behind. Taker fights back, catches Punk with a Big Boot and Punk is down. Taker gets Punk up for the Last Ride, but Punk jumps off and sweeps Taker down to the mat. Punk then jumps on Taker, locks on the Anaconda Vice and the referee immediately calls for the bell.

Winner & STILL WWE World Heavyweight Champion: CM Punk

After the match, the referee and CM Punk take off running. Punk celebrates with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the top of the ramp as Teddy Long looks on. They show replays of the finish and Jim Ross continues to reiterate that The Undertaker did not tap out. We get a good old 1997 Survivor Series finish folks to end the PPV!
