He then awarded the match to Strong Man via DQ and afterward Guerrero offered a Title Match to Strong Man.

CMLL 03/07 Arena Coliseo Lineup
1) Bengala & Camaleon vs. Apocalipsis & Cholo
2) Fabian el Gitano & Leono vs. Puma King & Tiger Kid
3) 2010 Pequeno Rey del Aires Cibernetico: Electrico vs. Shockercito vs. Ultimo Dragoncito vs. Pequeno Olimpico vs. Bam Bam vs. Pequeno Damian666 vs. Pequeno Warrior vs. Pequeno Nitro vs. Pequeno Universo 2000 vs. Pequeno Violencia
4) Mascara Dorada, Rush, & Toscano vs. El Terrible, Texano Jr., & Vangelis
5) Blue Panther, Volador Jr., & Brazo de Plata vs. Negro Casas, Taichi, & Mr. Niebla
* NOTES *
– This will be the 4th annual Pequeno Rey del Aires (Mini King of the Air) and like always it will be contested under Cibernetico (elimination) rules. Two things to note is this will be the first ever Pequeno Reyes del Aire without Pequeno Halloween (he will probably be missed here) and also this is the first time since 2007 it didn’t take place in January (it happened in July in 2007). Also, no Mascarita Dorada or Pierrothito (for whatever reason) this year. Regardless of anything else this should be an outstanding match. Now someone in CMLL needs to realize we didn’t get a Reyes del Aire (for the regular sized luchadores) in 2009 so we definitely need one in 2010 (maybe TWO!).

CMLL 03/07 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara Lineup

2) Hijo del Fantasma, Mascara Dorada, & Valiente vs. Mephisto, Texano Jr., & El Terrible
3) Blue Panther, La Mascara, & Brazo de Plata vs. Negro Casas, Ray Mendoza Jr., & Taichi
4) Hector Garza, Maximo, & Mr. Niebla vs. Ultimo Guerrero, Rey Bucanero, & Atlantis
5) Relevos Suicidas: Mistico & Felino vs. Volador Jr. & La Sombra
6) Mask vs. Mask: TBA vs. TBA
* NOTES *
– The two legends to be honored this year are CMLL founder Salvador Lutteroth and the legendary Ray Mendoza Sr. (father of the Villano brothers).
– In the Semi-Main the first two men who are pinned/eliminated will then move to the Main Event for the Mask vs. Mask Match will have NO time limit! This doesn’t mean the losing team, it just means the two men that are pinned first so, for example, if Felino is pinned and then Volador is pinned it will be Volador Jr. vs. Felino in the Mask vs. Mask Match. Then again it could end up being a partners match with Volador Jr. having to face his partner La Sombra. It could go many ways.

AAA

Pro Wrestling NOAH Stars Coming to AAA

This week AAA announced that Takeshi Morishima will be returning to AAA in March this time along with currently 1/2 of the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions, Taiji Ishimori. They will be competing on the 03/19 show in Mexico City that will be going head-to-head with CMLL’s huge Dos Leyendas event. Wouldn’t it make more sense to bring Ishimori’s partner Ricky Marvin (a Mexico native) with him? There I go trying to bring logic into a AAA discussion again.

9) AAA Mega-Heavyweight Title Fatal 4-Way: El Mesias (c) vs. Latin Lover vs. Electroshock vs. Mr. Anderson
* NOTES *
– So the rumors of Hernandez coming in and jumping into the Title Match were untrue and it will actually be TNA star Mr. Anderson.
– AAA is going with a similar concept for this years Rey de Reyes as last years but instead of 4 Fatal-4 Ways in the 1st round and then another Fatal 4-Way in the Finals, there will be three Fatal 4-Ways in the 1st round and then the final Triple Threat.
– There’s still alot of mystery spots to be filled on the show.

INDY & OTHER NEWS

Ricky Marvin Wins 2nd GHC Championship

I’m WAY late on this (I’m not able to keep up with Pro Wrestling NOAH as much as I’d like) but on 02/18, former CMLL star and easily the biggest Mexican-born wrestler in Japan at the moment, won his 2nd official GHC Championship with NOAH (he did hold the NWA Welterweight Title which was once recognized by NOAH). He and his tag team partner Taiji Ishimori won the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championships when they defeated Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Genba Hirayanagi in the finals of the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championships Tournament. This is the second time Marvin has held this belt, winning it in 2007 with Kotari Suzuki. Tajii-Marvin are only the 3rd Japanese-foreigner (and Japanese-Mexican) tandem to win the belt. The first to do it was Kendo Kashin & Dr. Wagner Jr. back in 1999 and then of course Kotaro Suzuki & Marvin in 2007.

PWR Announces Jr. Title Tournament
This week Pro Wrestling Revolution finally announced the date for their tournament to crown the very first PWR Jr. Heavyweight Champion! The tournament will be held on March 27th from Santa Maria, California. The entrants in this tournament will be Bryan Cage, Brandon Bonham, El Chupacabras, Mr. Wrestling IV, Rik Luxury, Orion, Billy Blade, & Derek Sanders (pretty surprising no surprise luchadores here). It will be a one-night tournament. Also on the card KAFU will team up with CMLL’s Strong Man to do battle with Oliver John and the original Misterioso! Also, Vaquero Fantasma goes one-on-one with the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Blue Demon Jr. in a Non Title Match!

Blue Demon Jr. & NWA Reclaim Titles
This week Blue Demon Jr. and the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) held a press conference where they stated that the NWA would no longer recognize CMLL’s NWA Champions. This is the 3rd or 4th time the NWA has made a statement like this but this time Demon actually debuted new NWA Light Heavyweight and Middleweight Championship belts. Demon claimed that letters had been sent to CMLL and the Lucha Commission and they wanted this enforced (the title belts returned?) but as of now CMLL still has the belts in their possession. Demon also announced that these new belts would be a part of the new NWA-sanctioned Perros del Mal promotion (slap in CMLL’s face?). Currently Texano Jr. is the NWA Light Heavyweight Champion and Averno is the NWA Middleweight Champion. Also, Mephisto is the NWA Welterweight Champion but that belt was not mentioned by Demon and I would imagine that is for good reason. That belt was actually created before the original NWA was created and only had the NWA name attached to it after CMLL become aligned with the NWA (back in the territory days). Also, in those days the NWA actually gave CMLL those title belts that they are now (and have in the past attempted to) taking back. Demon then went on to ‘welcome’ CMLL and AAA to both send wrestlers over to compete in the title belts tournaments when they are announced.

Charly Manson Involved in Championship Controversy
This past weekend Charly Manson lot the Mexican National Heavyweight Title to a local luchadore called Maniaco. That’s fine except for one little problem. A few weeks ago Manson los that same title to X-Fly at a Perros del Mal show! It seems as though Manson is actually selling title changes to local shows (he does the title change but keeps the physical belt) and the Lucha Commission is not happy whatsoever over this. I’ve honestly never heard of something like this going down before and in my opinion it’s pretty sleazy. Since all of this has started Perros del Mal has claimed that X-Fly was always in possession of the belt and the belt that Manson actually dropped was a Mexican Universal Championship belt (never heard of it? Don’t worry noone else has either).

5) Captains Hair vs. Hair Match: Dr. Cerebro, Hijo del Signo, & Trauma I (Captain) def. El Pantera (Captain), Hijo del Pantera, & Zatura
* NOTES *
– Trauma I and El Pantera were randomly drawn as captains. In the third fall it looked as if Pantera was going to get the pin on Trauma but Cerebro threw white powder into his face and Trauma got the pin. Pantera was then shaved after the match.

5) Yamaha Cup Semifinals: Ultimo Guerrero & Rey Bucanero def. Trauma I & Trauma II
6) Yamaha Cup Finals: Angelico & Hijo del Fantasma def. Ultimo Guerrero & Rey Bucanero
* NOTES *
– The most interesting thing about this is the fact that IWRG & CMLL guys are not only on the same card with each other but are actually teaming with each other and facing each other in matches (CMLL and IWRG haven’t worked together in quite some time minus a few cards here in there mostly for Benefit Shows).
– This is the 7th Yamaha Cup put on by Toryumon and the first since 2008.
– The most fun looking match on the card is easily Los Guerreros vs. Los Traumas. And that match is actually up on youtube!
