It’s time once again for your weekly ROH on HDNet recap! So, sit back, relax, open up a brew or a pop, and get ready for RING OF HONOR WRESTLING!

Here’s how things went down this week:

-The show opens up with a video of Jim Cornette speaking about “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett. It shows where Bennett came from and about his training from “Brutal” Bob Evans! Its now time for the debut of “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett!

-Hogewood and Prazak review the best feud of 2010, Kevin Steen vs. El Generico! The video showed highlights of their year long battle, including the brutal match they had at FINAL BATTLE!

-We come back and a highlight video is shown of the 6-man tag match at FINAL BATTLE between the Briscoe Family and the Kings of Wrestling with Shane Hagadorn! Pretty good match, in my opinion! Can’t believe Papa Briscoe executed the Dooms Day Device! Shades of L.O.D.!

-Back in the ring, Jim Cornette introduces the ROH Tag Team Champions, the Kings of Wrestling with Shane Hagadorn and Sara Del Rey. Cornette drills Hagadorn about the Kings not defending the tag titles. Hagadorn says that there is no competition in ROH. Cornette informs Hagadorn that they have found worthy opponents to the Kings, opponents they have never faced once! Cornette introduces the new #1 contenders for the ROH Tag Team Championships…..The All Night Express, Kenny King and Rhett Titus! The All Night Express make their way out to the ring. Chris Hero says that they will be more than happy to defend the titles against King and Titus, however, Hero says that they will destroy them! Rhett Titus tells the Kings that they won’t be their errand boys anymore and the bow-tie is off cause this challenge is serious! Chris Hero tries to tell them to reconsider and that they need to go back to the drawing board. Kenny King tells Hero that they came to play and that they won’t back down from the Kings! King tells the Kings that they better be afraid!

-A video is shown highlighting the tag team of Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole! Had a chance to see O’Reilly in person and he is a great wrestler! Can’t wait to see more from these two in the future!

-A replay of last weeks match between Homicide and Claudio Castagnoli is highlighted.

-Backstage, Kyle Durden is interviewing “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels about his match next week against Chris Hero! The winner of that match next week gets a guaranteed ROH TV Title match against Eddie Edwards in the near future.

NON-TITLE MATCH
ROH WORLD CHAMPION RODERICK STRONG (w/Truth Martini)
def. COLT “BOOM BOOM” CABANA

FINAL THOUGHTS

Tonight’s show was a little slow in some areas, but still a good effort from Ring Of Honor!

-In our first bout tonight, we saw the debut of Mike Bennett. Not sure what to say about this guy yet. He definitely has a long way to go until he sees any gold in ROH, but his match tonight proved that he is someone to watch out for in Ring of Honor. Expect more to come from “The Prodigy.”

-Not sure how I feel about the All-Night Express being the new #1 contenders for the tag titles, but I believe that one of these days the Kings will be dethroned! It will be interesting to see if King and Titus can reach for that goal of being champions. This match will probably take place at the anniversary show in February.

-O’Reilly and Cole continue to impress each week in ROH. I love the young guys who know how to win matches and put on a great show in the ring. With such pure talent, I believe that this team will be one to contend with in the near future! Great match tonight from these two!

-Finally, yet another win for your ROH World Champion this week. Roderick Strong had a great contest tonight against Cabana. In this match, there were some miscues, but a great performance from both. Truth Martini played no factor in the match and we finally got a good showing from Strong. Cabana gave it his all, but still continues to come up short when it come to the ROH World Champion! Nice match to end the show!

NEXT WEEK ON ROH:
-“The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels vs. ROH Tag Team Champion Chris Hero
-Daizee Haze vs. Mischief
