We start with a promo from the returning Matt Sydal. Sydal says that it was his pleasure to come back to ROH. I felt lost floating in the sea of wrestling. I’m grateful that ROH is still here as a place where I can put my heart into everything and I will exhibit that tonight. AJ Styles, you are a phenomenal competitor, you might be the best in the world. Tonight, you aren’t AJ Styles and I’m not Matt Sydal. Tonight, I’m reborn and I face AJ Styles and I face my fear. I will put it all out there tonight for the ROH fans, myself and for AJ Styles. You will see the rebirth of Matt Sydal.

We see the usual intro, then go to the opening match.

Commercial

Back from commercial, ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness is in the ring and he calls out Tommaso Ciampa. Ciampa comes out and makes his way to the ring.

Ciampa says he is happy that Nigel asked him to come out and explain himself for what happened 2 months ago.

Nigel says that Ciampa does not get it. There is a time for talking and a time for listening and for you, this is a time to listen. I want to make sure there is no confusion as to why you were suspended. It was because you attacked ring announcer Bobby Cruise unprovoked and almost to commentator Kevin Kelly. The officials at ringside feel like they are not safe with Ciampa around. You did apologize and while I don’t condone what you did, he knows how important the ROH World Title is. I will reinstate you next week, but under a Zero Tolerance policy. If you lay a hand on any non-wrestler in ROH, you will be fired and never work for ROH again.

Ciampa says he understands and is happy that we could come to a peaceful resolution. I am not a bad guy, I can finally sleep at night knowing that next week on ROH TV, I face Jay Briscoe for the ROH World Title.

Nigel says that just because Ciampa is reinstated, it doesn’t mean you go back to the top of the line, you have to work your way from the bottom.

Ciampa says he has been doing that for 5 years and why do I have to listen to you about where my career is going. I will tell you where my career going.

Nigel says Ciampa will not tell him a damn thing.

Ciampa says if this was 2008 Nigel with the blonde hair and lariat, maybe I’d believe you. You say that you know what its like to want the ROH World Title, but you don’t understand what its like to quit. I man up everyday and that is why I would love for Jay Briscoe to put up the ROH World Title.

The music of Jay Briscoe hits and he makes his way to the ring. Jay says to Ciampa that he is not a hard man to find and I don’t appreciate you disrespecting Nigel.

Ciampa says that all hears from Jay is “man up” and “day 1.” This is day 2806 of you in ROH and this is the first time we have been in the same ring together. You talk about manning up, well let’s see if the unpinned and untouchable Jay Briscoe can stand toe-to-toe with me.

Jay says we can do this right now, but Nigel chimes in and says this will not happen because Ciampa is not yet reinstated. Ciampa, you get out of the ring, or you won’t get a chance.

Ciampa tells Jay to enjoy his bubble.

Jay tells Ciampa to get out like the little b***h you are.

Nigel says that if Ciampa touches an official, he’s gone from ROH.

All of a sudden, the Kingdom runs out and attacks Jay from behind while officials get Ciampa to the back. The Kingdom lay out Jay with a triple superkick. Mark Briscoe runs out to make the save, but the Kingdom takes control. Bennett hits Mark with the Title of Love. Cole blows a kiss to Mark and hits him with a superkick. Bennett puts Mark on his shoulders and the Kingdom lays out Mark with a Doomsday Device. The Kingdom once again stands tall over the fallen Briscoes as we go to commercial.
