7/27 WWE Live Results: Columbus, Georgia

For the amount of seats they sold, pretty packed house. Less packed than the Smackdown house show in July 2017 that had Cena, Nakamura and Styles on the card though.

* No Way Jose def. Curt Hawkins

Jose out to a decent pop. Solid opener, few false finishes. Jose hits his finisher to send Hawkins to 0-210.

* Titus Worldwide w/Dana Brooke def. The Ascension

Ascension dominates the first half of the match, Apollo gets a decent pop in his homestate. Ascension isolates Apollo, Apollo gets the tag to Titus. Titus hits the Clash of Titus on Viktor for the win.

* Elias and Bobby Lashley segment

Elias comes out, plays a song and does his usual “Who wants to walk with Elias” promo. He touts his newly released EP on iTunes. Bobby Lashley interrupts his song, Elias challenges him to sing “Knocking on Heaven’s Door”, which Lashley does, getting the crowd involved. Elias attacks from behind, but Lashley turns it around, and hits his vertical suplex.

* Bayley and Sasha Banks def. Liv Morgan and Alicia Fox

Big pops for Bayley and Sasha. Standard tag match, isolating Bayley. Big moments when Sasha hits the 619 on Morgan, tags Bayley in and they proceed to hit the 3D on Morgan. Fox breaks up the pin, and it breaks down from there. Sasha hits a backstabber on Fox and Bayley hits the Bayley to Belly for the pin.

* Finn Balor def. Baron Corbin

This was the 1st match after the intermission. Corbin really laying into the “Constable” gimmick by forcing the ring announcer (by the way, different guy from what I’ve seen at previous events) to reintroduce him. Corbin dominates the majority of the match. Nice moment when Corbin counters a Slingblade into Deep Six for a long 2. Balor hits his comeback sequence and gets the Coup de Grace on his 3rd attempt for the pin.

* Authors of Pain def. Zack Ryder and Chad Gable

The Authors of Pain were dominant in this match from the get go. Ryder and Gable to barely get any offense in. Big moment when Gable hits a Northern Lights Suplex on Rezar. Akam breaks up the pin after dispatching Ryder on the outside. AOP hit their finisher on Gable for the win.

* Triple Threat Match for the RAW Women’s Championship
Alexa Bliss w/ Mickie James def. Ember Moon and Natalya

This was a fun match. Alexa playing the cowardly heel to perfection. Mickie gets involved a lot in this one. Natalya gets Alexa in the Sharpshooter, Ember hits a superkick to break it up. Ember hits the Eclipse on Natalya, Alexa gets in the ring, throws Ember into the post and gets the rollup victory to retain.

* Main Event
Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns def. Jinder Mahal w/Sunil Singh and Drew McIntyre

Mahal, Singh and McIntyre playing the foreign heels in a military town, big USA chants off the top and throughout the match. Rollins and Reigns get the loudest pops of the night. Mahal/McIntyre isolate Rollins and Reigns at separate points in this match. Funny moment when McIntyre does the “Suck It” gesture at Reigns. Reigns seemed to flip him off in response, couldn’t tell for sure from my angle. Singh interferes in the late going, gets tossed in the ring and eats a Superman punch, McIntyre gets a spear and Rollins hits the curb stomp on Mahal for the pin and to send the crowd home happy.
