A video package runs focusing on Jinder Mahal defending the WWE Championship against Randy Orton and the two “Money in the Bank” ladder matches tonight.

A graphic opening hits. We go live to St. Louis inside the Scottrade Center.

We are kicking the show off tonight with the first ever women’s “Money in the Bank” ladder match. Charlotte is out first to officially begin the show.

“Money in the Bank” Ladder Match
Charlotte vs. Becky Lynch vs. Tamina vs. Carmella w/ James Ellsworth vs. Natalya

A video package runs of WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Naomi at WrestleMania 33. The video then looks back at the past of women’s wrestling in WWE.

We return live and the bell rings. Tamina tosses around a ladder and clears the ring early. Charlotte is in with big boots to Tamina and Carmella. Natalya levels Becky Lynch with a clothesline. Charlotte dumps Natalya over her head and eats a superkick from Tamina. Tamina with a samoan drop to Carmella and superkick to Natalya. Tamina props a ladder up in the corner and catapults Natalya face first into it. Tamina throws a ladder at Lynch in the corner and Charlotte throws Tamina face first into the ladder. Lynch tosses the ladder into Tamina. Lynch and Natalya fight over a ladder. They hit Tamina with the ladder. Lynch pushes the ladder into Natalya, gets in a shot on Carmella and Natalya scoop slams Lynch over the ladder with a thud. Natalya sets up a ladder, climbs up and Charlotte is up to cut her off. Natalya fights her off twice. Charlotte gets Natalya on her shoulders and drops her with an electric chair on the ring. Carmella breaks up Charlotte trying to go up the ladder. Carmella with elbows and kicks to Charlotte climbing up. Carmella has a hand on the briefcase when Charlotte cuts her off. Tamina pushes the ladder over causing Charlotte and Carmella to crash back inside the ring. Natalya hits Tamina repeatedly with a ladder. Natalya gets a Sharpshooter locked on Lynch. Carmella with a superkick to Natalya to break it up. Natalya with a butterfly suplex. Lynch sends Natalya back first into a ladder in the corner. Carmella with a huricanrana takedown on Becky from the ladder in the corner. Carmella is climbing up the ladder when Charlotte pulls her off and hits a big boot. Charlotte with a big boot to Lynch. Tamina takes out Natalya on the outside. Tamina with a big headbutt to Charlotte. Charlotte with a spear to Tamina sending Tamina through the ropes (well, they had to work for it). Charlotte then spears Tamina into the steel steps. Charlotte with a twisting dive to Natalya and Tamina on the outside from the top turnbuckle. Back inside, Lynch cuts off Carmella on the ladder and powerbombs her down to the ring. Lynch is climbing up the ladder when James Ellsworth gets in and lifts up the ladder sending Lynch off into the ropes. Ellsworth is trying to help up Carmella so she can do the climb. Ellsworth then looks up at the briefcase and starts climbing up the ladder. Ellsworth takes down the briefcase and smiles. Ellsworth tosses the briefcase down and Carmella catches it.

We hear the bell ring and a conversation with the referee staff at ringside. Ellsworth jumps out, argues with the referees and grabs the mic announcing Carmella as the first ever women’s “Money in the Bank” briefcase winner. Carmella’s music hits.

After the match, Carmella and James Ellsworth celebrate heading up the ramp. The referee staff continues to argue at ringside as we see Charlotte and Natalya very upset.

Backstage, Lana said the land of opportunity will be ruled by her after she defeats Naomi tonight to become the new Smackdown Women’s Champion.

WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championships
The Usos (c’s) vs. The New Day

Big E and Kofi Kingston will represent New Day tonight. We start with Kofi and Jimmy Uso. Series of counters early between Kofi and Jimmy. Tag to Jey who throws a big right at Kofi. Kofi trips up Jey, tags in Big E and he splashes Jey over the ring apron! Quick tag back to Kofi who kicks Jey in the chest with help from Big E. Jimmy pulls down the top rope allowing Kofi to go launching over and crashing on the outside. Jimmy then levels Kofi with a clothesline on the outside. Jey with a quick stomp and tosses Kofi out as he tags in Jimmy. Jimmy with a quick uppercut to Kofi and tags Jey back in. Jey comes off the top with a shot to Kofi. Jimmy pulls Kofi out and drops him on the outside. Kofi with a jumping stomp to cut off Jey. Big E eats a few uppercuts from Jimmy, but then plants Jimmy in the corner. Big E catches Jimmy with his nasty looking spear through the ropes to the outside! Big E tosses Jimmy back in the ring. Kofi is now the legal man. Jey tags himself in as Jimmy chops the leg of Kofi. Jey with a jumping dropkick to the left leg of Kofi into a half leg Boston Crab. Big E with an overhead suplex to Jimmy on the outside. Jey breaks up the submission and superkicks Big E on his way back inside. Kofi connects with a spinning kick. Kofi pulls back on the head/neck of Jey. Kofi with S.O.S. on Jey for a close two count. Jimmy with a superkick to Kofi. Big E catches Jimmy coming on the way down (Big E is now the legal man) and connects with the Big Ending on Jimmy. Big E covers and Jey just barely breaks it up. Xavier Woods distracts Jimmy. Jey rolls up Big E for another close two count. The Usos cut off a Big E spear with double knees on the ring apron. Big E launches both Usos over the top rope. Tag to Kofi. Kofi goes up top and dives over The Usos with a trust fall. Literally, a trust fall. Back inside, Big E props Jey up on his shoulder and Kofi off the top with a DDT. Jimmy pulls Jey out during the pinfall attempt by Kofi. The Usos walk off. The referee starts the count.

The referee reaches the 10 count and he calls for the bell.

Backstage, we see “Cowboy” Bob Orton and Sgt. Slaughter in attendance.

WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship
Naomi (c) vs. Lana

We get introductions for the challenger Lana and champion Naomi.

The bell rings and Naomi lifts up Lana throwing her to the corner. Naomi throws some rights and lefts as Lana screams. Lana charges back taking down Naomi. Naomi trips up Lana and gets in a shot off the ropes. Naomi throws Lana face first into the second turnbuckle. Naomi misses with a cross body and slides into a cover for a two count. Lana drops the right leg/knee of Naomi off the top rope and then tosses her to the outside. Lana tosses Naomi back in gets another two count off a cover. Lana with a suplex to Naomi on the bottom rope. Lana with a second suplex to Naomi against the ropes. Lana kicks Naomi across the face and gets another two count. Naomi gets an armbar applied, but breaks it up due to her bad leg. Naomi with an elbow to Lana in the corner and then connects with a jumping dropkick. Naomi with a kick to the face, arm and another kick to the head of Lana. Naomi catches Lana with the Rear View when Lana bounced off the ropes for a two count. Lana with a sitdown spinebuster on Naomi and Naomi kicks out with authority.

Carmella’s music hits. Lana is not happy watching Carmella skip down the ramp. Carmella starts to hand the briefcase to the timekeeper, but hesitates and says no way. Naomi with a counter on Lana into submission. Lana taps out.

After the match, Naomi celebrates with the Smackdown Women’s Championship. Carmella again teases cashing in her briefcase, but smiles and says no.

A Miami Vice-themed edition of The Fashion Files with Breezango airs. They play a VHS tape of two mysterious figures revealing they attacked them on Smackdown. The mystery figures want to meet with Breezango in the ring tonight.

Maria and Mike Kanellis Debut

Maria and Mike Kannellis walk out on stage. They introduce themselves. Maria says the First Lady is back in WWE. She talks about searching for the perfect partner the last seven years. Mike says she found him. Maria says they are on Smackdown Live to show everyone about the power of love. Cheesy music plays as they kiss and dance on the stage.

At ringside, a confused Tom Phillips, JBL and Byron Saxton talk about the debut. A confused and surprised JBL simply says, “He took her name?”

We get a look back at the women’s “Money in the Bank” ladder match and Carmella winning in controversial fashion. They share a Shane McMahon tweet about his disappointment.

A video package runs hyping Jinder Mahal vs. Randy Orton tonight.

Greg Gagne, Larry Hennig, Baron von Raschke, Sgt. Slaughter, “Cowboy” Bob Orton and Ric Flair are shown sitting at ringside tonight for the championship match.

JBL mentions Harley Race would have attended if not for his recent injury at home.

Jinder Mahal (c) w/ The Singh Brothers vs. Randy Orton

Loud reaction for Randy Orton tonight in his hometown.

We get ring introductions for the challenger Randy Orton and champion Jinder Mahal.

The bell rings and Orton goes after Mahal right away. Mahal avoids an early RKO and slides out of the ring. Mahal is back in and Orton catches him with a Lou Thesz Press with right hands. Orton dumps Mahal over the top rope with a front suplex and starts stomping away. Orton with a clothesline to Mahal on the outside and tosses him back in. Mahal avoids a DDT from Orton and tosses him over the top rope. Orton clutches his left knee when he lands. Mahal with a right and chop block to the bad knee of Orton on the outside. Mahal sends Orton shoulder first into the steel steps on the outside. Mahal drops the bad knee of Orton over the ring apron. Orton dumps Mahal spine first over the ring barricade right into the laps of the legends at ringside. Mahal then dumps Orton knee first over the announce table. Mahal also drops the bad knee of Orton across the table as well. Back inside, Orton is throwing rights to Mahal. Orton connects with a fallaway slam on Mahal. On the outside, Mahal drops the bad knee of Orton over the edge of the barricade. Back inside, Mahal avoids another RKO attempt and connects with a kick for a two count. Mahal points at the legends and locks the Figure Four on Orton. Orton rolls over to reverse the Figure Four. Mahal gets to the bottom rope to break it up. Mahal applies more pressure to the knee of Orton. Orton counters into a small package for a two count. Mahal then levels Orton with a clothesline. Orton props Mahal up on the top turnbuckle. Orton and Mahal exchange shots. Orton levels Mahal with a series of clotheslines. Orton with a snap powerslam. Orton with his DDT off the ropes on Mahal. Orton connects with an RKO on Mahal. One of The Singh Brothers put Mahal’s foot on the bottom rope. The referee looks down at them. Orton is arguing with the referee. The referee turns around and sends The Singh Brothers to the back. They have a conversation before leaving and walk over to the legends at ringside. They grab Bob Orton. Randy runs up and takes out both with an uppercut and sends the other into the ring. Orton sends one brother into the timekeepers area and drops the other over the barricade. Orton grabs one of the brothers and drops him back first over the announce table! Orton grabs another Singh brother, clears off two announce tables, throws right hands, hits an RKO on one, gets up on one of the announce tables and hits an RKO on the second brother through the table! Back inside, Mahal kicks out the knee of Orton, hits his Cobra Clutch slam and hooks the leg to retain his title.

After the match, we see a shot of Jinder Mahal celebrating with the WWE Championship on the ramp. We see a shot of Randy Orton just starting to recover in the ring.

Breezango heads to the ring. We are going to find out who attacked them on Smackdown Live last week as they will be in tag team action against them next.

It turns out to be The Ascension.

Breezango vs. The Ascension

We start with Tyler Breeze and Viktor. Breeze with rights and an elbow to Konnor in the corner. Fandango is in to even things up with Konnor gets involved. Viktor with a high knee to Breeze as Konnor gets the tag. Konnor with a few shots and quick tag back to Viktor who keeps Breeze grounded and gets in a few stomps. Konnor drops an elbow and applies a headlock on Breeze. Konnor clotheslines Breeze over the top rope. Fandango is in with a shot to Viktor and chops to Konnor. Fandango apparently got the tag. Fandango with a spin kick off the ropes catching Konnor. Konnor plants Fandango with a big spinebuster. Viktor gets the tag. Viktor stomps over Fandango. He calls for Konnor to get up on the top turnbuckle. Breeze knocks Konnor off the top rope. Fandango rolls up Viktor for the win.

AJ Styles vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Sami Zayn vs. WWE United States Champion Kevin Owens vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Baron Corbin

Following the entrances of AJ Styles, Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, Baron Corbin attacked Shinsuke Nakamura during his entrance. Corbin grabs a ladder and starts hitting Nakamura repeatedly with it. Corbin grabs a camera and hits Nakamura over the back with it a few times. WWE referees walk up and tell Corbin that’s enough.

Corbin walks down the ramp and gets in the ring. He’s yelling for them to ring the bell. The referee staff have a conversation and decide to call for the bell.

The bell rings and here we go. Owens with shots to Ziggler and Zayn on the outside. Zayn sends Owens face first into the ring a few times. Zayn with a dive over the top rope over Owens. Styles fights off Ziggler and Corbin at ringside. Corbin and Ziggler team up hitting Styles with a ladder. Corbin levels Ziggler with a right hand. Ziggler with a superkick to Corbin. Zayn launches Ziggler off the ring apron. Zayn clotheslines Owens on the outside. Styles dumps Zayn back out and pulls a ladder inside the ring. Ziggler scales up a ladder against the ring and counters a forearm shot by Styles. Corbin with Deep Six to Ziggler on the floor. Zayn with a springboard moonsault catching Corbin on the outside. Owens with a nasty looking superkick to Styles when he jumps back inside the ring. Owens hits Corbin and Ziggler with a ladder sending them to the outside. Owens launches Styles over the top rope. Owens is going up top when Zayn cuts him off and tosses him into a ladder in the ring! Zayn tosses the bad ladder out and brings another fresh one in. Ziggler cuts of Zayn when he sets a ladder up in the middle of the ring. Ziggler launches Zayn into a ladder in the corner. Ziggler with a dropkick to Zayn when Zayn tries scaling up another ladder. Zayn with a Blue Thunder Bomb on Ziggler. Styles chops away at the leg of Corbin and follows with a jumping forearm. Styles and Corbin are climbing up a ladder on each side. Ziggler is climbing over Corbin and knocks Styles off with a right. Corbin pulls Ziggler down. Zig Zag on Corbin off the ladder! Zayn and Ziggler are climbing up now. Zayn with a sunset flip powerbomb off the top of the ladder on Ziggler! Zayn catches Owens with a boot on the ring apron. Zayn with an overhead back suplex to Owens over the ring apron! Styles catches Zayn with a springboard forearm knocking the ladder over inside the ring! Corbin launches Styles over the announce table. Corbin catches Styles and chokeslams him over a ladder draped across the steel steps and ring barricade! Zayn catches Corbin with a Helluva Kick in the corner. Zayn sets the ladder back up. Zayn starts climbing up. Ziggler is in and Zayn kicks him away. Owens is rolling in. Owens pulls Zayn down, hits a low blow kick and shoves him down. Owens is climbing up the ladder. Styles is cutting off Owens. Owens with an elbow to Styles on the ring apron. Styles has Owens up on his shoulders and drops him over the ladder hanging across the steel steps and barricade! Styles is back in and climbing up. Ziggler pulls the ladder away. Styles is hanging by the chain holding the briefcase. Styles is trying to unhook the briefcase. Styles then falls and hits the ring with a thud. Corbin is about to climb up the ladder when Nakamura’s music hits. Corbin launches the ladder and Nakamura avoids it. Nakamura with kicks and jumping big boot to Corbin. The crowd in St. Louis is still singing Nakamura’s theme. Nakamura with a high knee to Corbin in the corner and then knocks Corbin out of the ring with a big running knee. Nakamura catches Ziggler with boots and a high knee off the corner. Nakamura with a knee to Ziggler. Nakamura with a reverse exploder to Zayn. Nakamura with a Kinshasa to Zayn. Nakamura is grabbing a ladder on the outside. Nakamura fights off Owens and sets the ladder up in the ring. Styles is in. Styles and Nakamura have a stare down against the ladder. Both move the ladder over. They exchange elbows. Nakamura with an exploder on Styles from a sleeper. The ladder is back in play. Styles and Nakamura are climbing up. Nakamura with a big elbow to Styles. Styles with a forearm to Nakamura. Corbin is back in to push the ladder over. Styles and Nakamura crash into the ropes. Corbin is climbing up. Corbin reaches up. He has the briefcase.

The show comes to a close with Baron Corbin celebrating with the briefcase.
