Big Cass removed from match on Smackdown Live tomorrow night, Second Chance Match added

Smackdown Live

WWE posted the following on Twitter on Monday afternoon from Smackdown Live GM Paige, announcing that Big Cass has been pulled from his Money in the Bank Qualifying Match on tomorrow night’s Smackdown Live against Samoa Joe to his ongoing knee issues that are storyline-based.

WWE then announced that Daniel Bryan will face WWE US Champion Jeff Hardy in a Second Chance Match tomorrow night on Smackdown Live from Worcester, Massachusetts, and the winner will face Samoa Joe in the Money in the Bank Qualifying Match the following week on May 29.

Cass was selling his knee injury from an attack by Daniel Bryan on last week’s Smackdown Live during the remainder of the WWE tour this past weekend and led some to believe it was a legitimate injury, but it wound up being storyline-based per multiple wrestling media reports.
